We got the salt & vinegar ones and they were so good we immediately ordered a second order to take home Highly recommend! The drinks were strong but still really delicious, definitely a solid pour. The only downside was the situation at the host stand. The front seemed a bit overwhelmed, and it took about 3-4 girls to manage the area. Instead of letting the crowded room know they'd be right with us, we got the classic Gen Z silent stare, which didn't help the wait feel any smoother. We had a party of 25 and they were so accommodating and nice. I loved the space/ambiance where we were able to have an intimate gathering. The food was delicious as well. The manager came out at the end to make sure everything went well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and hope to be back again in the future. The only need for improvement was when I reserved originally whoever took my reservation did not put it in the system properly. Thankfully I called a couple days before the event to double check the reservation and was told it was not there but they were able to put it in the system again properly. read more

The Verona Inn is a great place to grab a drink but their food was somewhat disappointing. Everything we ordered just tasted okay. We got appetizers, spinach artichoke dip, potato skins, and giant pretzel. Everything was just okay, however, we did get this for a good price. The most disappointing part of the meal was the skillet cookie where they just threw in a cookie and it was hard in the middle. The service was decent and ambiance is good. My trivia team of four has been coming to this restaurant almost weekly for a few years now. With a few exceptions (namely the parmagiana tater tots and nachos, which are over-sauced and soggy), the food is good, although the sweet "Hawaiian" buns on the hamburgers are not to my taste. (They're what those of us from Hawaii would call "Portuguese sweet bread.") The service is good--probably because we're regulars--and the servers are attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is noisy--it's basically a sports bar--and it's not possible to hold a conversation. The restaurant is also poorly lit, so I bring along a portable rechargeable mini deak lamp. Unfortunately, the main reason we were coming to this restaurant is now gone. Verona Inn hosts a trivia game on Tuesday nights at 8. While the new host, Olivia, is super nice and reads well, she's just not the previous host, Stephen, who is exceptionally good. Even a month later, I'm still angry that the Verona Inn fired Stephen because of some obviously drunk guy who insisted on calling out the answers, thereby spoiling the game for those who were playing. The drunk guy claimed he was "just talking to his wife." (No, he wasn't--he was just being inconsiderate, entitled, and contrary.) After warning the drunk guy twice quietly, Stephen, who is passionate about trivia and running a good game, finally scolded the guy publicly over the mike, telling him to stop his rude behavior. Well... it turns out the drunk guy was a "regular" (funny, I had never seen him before, but maybe he usually came in on a different day, or maybe was a little less under the influence and more in control of himself on previous occasions) and used his clout to get Stephen fired. Well, if the Verona Inn would rather support the whims of one obnoxious, arrogant, entitled jerk than support the rights of all the people in the trivia teams who had come for dinner, drinks, and a carefully crafted trivia game, I'm fine with ceasing to be a "regular" there. I suspect I'm not alone in this. I hope that Trivia Revolution finds a new restaurant for Stephen soon; I enjoyed being able to attend a good trivia game twice a week. read more

Living in Verona for the past year, the "VI" has become a regular place for me to visit I love their burgers and sandwiches although I do wish they were served with french fries. Instead, you have to pay extra for fries or a side of tots. The prices for burgers or sandwiches aren't cheap. The tots are always good and really crisp. There are many ways you can order them. The ones with chili on them are my favorite. Drink specials are good and regular prices are reasonable. They do take reservations and I would recommend reserving a table if you are coming with a larger party. read more

Went on a week night for an early dinner. Took advantage of the $5 drink specials. Beet salad was delicious...super huge...could easily split with 4 people. Americana burger was also delicious. The potato crisps added a nice touch. The special sauce was like thousand isle dressing, I loved it but it did not need it if you prefer just ketchup. Great service and prices are good. A little loud in the bar area, we could have sat in the side room if we wanted it quieter. I took off a star because I almost wiped out on the step up to the booths. They really should have a railing or something high so you notice the step. It is painted dull yellow but if you don't look down, yikes...accident waiting to happen. read more

This place was pretty busy on a Tuesday night. And I have to give it to the wait staff. You could tell there were labor shortages but they were doing their best to keep up with everyone. We had a great guy help us out. Stefan made sure we were always happy and he made sure we got everything we had ordered. The food here was pretty good! The nachos appetizer was pretty mixed but everything else was great. The bacon covered jalapenos, the truffle fries and truffle tots, and the pretzel with mustard and cheese. I had the burger with all of the caramelized onions on it. I can't remember what it was called but it was really good! It started with the letter K. It was just very cheesy and full of onions just the way I wanted it. All of my friends had great meals as well. I would recommend this place for a good meal and some good drinks. One of my go to places in my area! They always have a really good beer selection, great service, and so many amazing apps to choose from! Some of my favorite appetizers they have are fried pickles, which are sooooo crispy, their mozzarella bites (some of the best I've had!), and their calamari which is super tasty! I've tried many things off their menu the few times I've been here and I've never been disappointed! My favorite meal that I've tried is their steak fajita bowl. DELICIOUS!!! The steak was super tender and all of the ingredients were fresh... can't ask for anything more! If you're looking for somewhere with a fun outdoor patio, this is definitely your place! I wanted to find a spot with a bar and grill atmosphere and stumbled across this. I made reservations and when I arrived I found parking right in front of the restaurant. When I walked in the hostess walked me to the patio where my friend was waiting. The tables were pretty social distanced so I felt safe. I sat and the waitress, which was really nice all night, came over and asked my drink order. I had a question and one drink and she said she would make me a sample to taste. I tasted it and hated it lol. She then brought over a margarita and it was good. My friend ordered a mango margarita, sangria and loaded nachos. The main complaint was the nachos had too much going on with it. It was hard to find the actual nachos with all the stuff on it. Besides that he liked everything he had. Came here for a quick drink before our dinner reservations since we had a little time to kill and had a nice time. We ended up here on a Thursday which lucky for us it was Ladies Night! Only downer was that the specials did not start until 6:00pm so since it was only 5:45pm we had to wait to place our drink order. The waitress took awhile to get back to us so ended up placing our wine order close to 6:15pm. Normally, we wouldn't have minded but since we had dinner reservations at 6:30pm our time was limited. Nonetheless, the wine was good especially at $4 a glass. Their Ladies Night Specials is until closing that includes 50% all beers, wines and cocktails and they offered certain menu items at $6.00. We also did notice the place get packed the later it got and it looks like they have an outside eating area. But all utensils were plastic, beverages in plastic cups...small, filled with ice... when asked for more....outdoors on a 89 degree day, she was happy to bring more. I don't usually do multiple reviews for the same place but I had a pretty good time here the other day and I'm bored at work so I feel like talking about it. Came to VI with my best friend and my girl. We sat in the back patio area which was perfect for the weather that day. We were luckily seated with our favorite server. I feel rude cuz we have sat with this girl multiple times and I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure her name is Steph. As we were being seated we saw the manager sitting down taking a pic of a new drink that's not on the menu yet. It was a spiked watermelon lemonade kinda thing and even though it wasn't on the menu he made one for my girl and it tasted FRESH!!! There's def some fresh watermelon in that thing. She ended up having like 4 lol. I didn't even have time to take a pic because she couldn't wait one damn second. If you've read any of my other reviews you'd know I'm a steak lover but I had never had the steak here. Didn't expect much to be honest, it's not a steak place but I was pleasantly surprised. It exceeded my expectations. Ordered mr and it came closer to the medium side but the sear and the seasoning were pretty in point. Good flavor. Good time there honesty I couldn't have asked for more. It's a decent bar. A good place to hang, have some beers and grub while you watch a game. The grub is quite good. Above average bar food. The Buffalo wings were excellent. I had a grilled chicken sandwich topped with guac and bacon which was quite tasty. My wife had the French Onion Burger which was outstanding. The beer list is a bit weak. Or, weaker than one expects to find at a bar of this caliber and location. The acoustics are pretty awful. This place can get extremely loud when it's busy. This is particularly true in the small dining room to the right of the main entrance. My advice is to stay away from this particular room at all cost. The sound bounces and echoes through all over the place at a near painful level. Additionally, the service wasn't that great. We initially waited 10 minutes for the waitress to greet us. Then another 20 minutes until she brought us the check after we finished. Yes, it was busy. But that's really not a good excuse. I will probably give the Verona Inn another shot at some point but I'm not in any rush to do so. read more

Got seated promptly. Our server was the big issue of the evening. She forgot one of our beers after we told her twice about it. Vodka soda was flat and mostly soda. Waited for the food 40 minutes to come out and only came after we spoke to the hostess. Other tables had food coming out no problem. The French onion soup was cold and bad; we had to ask another server to get our server and she didn't come until 10 minutes later. The other server took our soup back and said they'd refund us. The cheesesteak wrap special had clearly been sitting as the cheese has congealed and the wrap was soggy. The chicken fingers were over cooked. The bill came and they did not refund us the soup but we wanted to just get of there at that point. This is not our usual experience here and it's very disappointing. read more

Some of us had friends also dining at the other table. Small world. We ordered a lot of appetizers and our entree. By the time we were served our entree, we were so full already. I come here every Tuesday for Tacos & Trivia. While the hostesses sometimes seem like they have no personalities, I've never had a problem with my service or food. Every meal and drink I've ever gotten has been superb! Lots of different and fun options. Tuesday nights they have Trivia, and the waitstaff is kind enough to let us take up space in their booths to finish our game even after we've finished and paid for our meals. The few experiences I've had outside of Tuesday nights have also been extremely pleasant! read more
