Sunday was my funday! Always looking for a place to watch football. This a great place to go. They have a projector screen and televisions. During the game, we ordered dusted calamari and nachos. Calamari had olives, corn and pickled slaw garnish. Nachos with chicken was very good, also. The chicken breast was grilled, which was a treat to me. (I truly dislike pulled chicken.) This is a spot that West Orange needed for sure. If you've been to or live in West Orange you know we have a hard time keeping small business and especially night life and restaurants. People often opt to go to Montclair, Bloomfield or even right down the street to Verona for their drinks. I can't stand it. This place has good drinks, good music, good people, good atmosphere. HOOKAH TOO!!! (Cash only I think) Great night life. Haven't been there to eat just yet so I'll update you on that BUT I've heard other people say it's good. Conveniently connected to the Wiltshire Grand Hotel so if you get too drunk you have a place to stay lol. They had playoff basketball on the TV last time I was there so if you're a sports person you're good to go. The lounge couches are comfortable. They have a promoter and live music sometimes. They usually throw down with the 90's / 2000's R&B. I be in there sangin' my ass off. I don't remember the promoters name but he is good people... definitely personable. Horrible service. We were told the restaurant opened just a month ago and only had a limited menu (which is fine) however the service was really bad. We were not greeted as we entered, once at our table it no one came over with water or to take or orders until we flagged someone down. So happy to have a new restaurant/bar in west orange! Grill 350 is only 3 weeks old and still in soft launch mode. What I like- The drinks- yes to the bartender! the food! The menu has several different types of food on it from pasta to burgers and even a chicken mole. Be sure to ask about the specials. We had the the chicken mole and it is delish! The Cajun soup is yummy. The bar There was a dj and karaoke on Friday night! The owner- very nice and friendly! If you visit before the grand opening next month keep in mind They are working on the menu and getting a good wait staff. Be patient as the owner is definitely trying to get it right. We visited Friday night on a double date. The restaurant is still in soft open and not fully staffed, which caused the service to run slow. However, our server Nick was super polite and kept us informed. Other than that we had a great experience. Prices were very reasonable ( forgot the take a picture of the menu) but this is our receipt as reference. We even got a 10% discount for the slower service. The menu was small, which I love. Yet it had something for everyone. The cocktail menu was amazing. The food quality was just good, but the presentation was great. I think they will improve with time. The restaurant has an awesome industrial look. On the other side of a glass wall decorated with wine bottles is the bar and lounge. After dinner we moved to the bar for drinks and Karaoke. The Bartender was very charismatic, he had us laughing all night long and the drinks were perfect. He even brought out chocolate milk as a joke to my husband who wasn't drinking. Started off with a great waiter named Nick he was very friendly. we had the Kale salad the dressing was really good, we had the Calamari and boneless wings also great. We shared the Hanger steak it was seasoned perfectly. No room for dessert maybe next time. After We went to the bar area to have a drink. the area is very cozy, they had great music and a large screen playing the game. The bartenders were great and made perfect drinks. Went to Grill 350 with 6 other women to celebrate a 50th birthday. We were comfortably seated. The restaurant is fairly new and nicely decorated. All of the staff was very friendly & accommodating. We all chose cocktails and, speaking for myself, the Cold Brew Martini was not only delicious but just strong enough. We ordered some apps to share including Calamari and Wings but the Handmade Chips & Dips were by far the favorite. The portion sizes are generous, if fact some of the ladies shared meals and had plenty of food to eat. Two of us had a fish special that was good. Another had the Eggplant Rollatini that she said was average. There is a bar in an adjoining room that had live music. There were about 10 interesting beers on draft. My only negative comment is that we waited too long for our cocktails. Otherwise, I would say to give the new place in town a try. read more

Used the restaurant for a birthday party they had a great package and I heard the food was pretty good. The space I give 4 stars only cause there was a lot of extra furniture around which made it a little difficult to set up photo booth and etc. The food we had the pasta great the chicken great the salmon was dry and tasted fishy. con:3 stars if we knew food would only be served for 1 hour for a 5 hour party I would've possible looked at other venues. we didn't know about the 1 hour serving and of course we had guest who were late due to traffic, pulse there was another event after ours so on the dot at 4 we were rushed out. The parties should've been spaced out better. The service was great by Anna however everyone else didn't speak English so it was difficult to communicate. Placed an order via grub hub after about 20 min it was confirmed and I headed to the establishment to pick up taking my time as the pickup time was still 25 min away. I entered the restaurant and after asking no less then 3 employees about picking up an order an employee (who was very polite and professional) returned to the front and told me there were no orders. She then asked for more details (I exhiband the order on my phone) she then walked away. She shortly after returned with a blonde woman who appeared to be the manager (who seemed bothered) The manager started the conversation with "We have no orders" She then told me unapologetically to call grub hub. She never once showed any apathy at all or offered to even take an order from us and quite honestly seemed bothered by us being there. We left. This place has potential. Came here with my friends and fiancé on Wednesday after work. The food was amazing and some great 90s music playing. As the night progressed there was a dj and bouncers were at the door. Still at the bar enjoying ourselves until randomly the bouncer comes over to us and tells my fiancé " you need to take your hat off and we won't have a problem". 1) what problems were you expecting from someone sitting at a bar minding his own business drinking water since he was driving? 2) there were numerous others with hats on and this bouncer singled us out never asking others to remove their hats. I get it the dress code changed and maybe after a time hats aren't allowed but is there a reason you walked up to only one individual sitting at the bar not even drinking alcohol and basically threaten him if he didn't take off his hat while at the same he was wearing a baseball hat. Literally all that had to be said was hey man no hats allowed after such and such time. Needless to say we pretty much left as we felt uncomfortable which is a shame because like I said the food was amazing. read more

A great addition to West Orange! The decor is beautiful and very inviting. I have been here 4 times both having dined in the main dining room and in the bar area. First time in dining room our waiter Nick was professional and great at recommending things to try. When I've sat in the bar area, waitress Jocelyn is amazing and so friendly. Each time I've returned I was personally greeted and felt right at home. The owner Travis is such a nice gentleman and always asks about my experience. You can tell he has a lot of pride in this place and really cares to make it a success with the customers. I've had the Kale Salad, Calamari, boneless wings, hanger steak, chips and dip and the arepas. All of my food has been delicious and with great flavor. My favorite drink is the Honey Fig. The dining room area is perfect for a date night or group dinners. The bar area is fun for drinks with friends and light bites (you can also get the full menu here as well). Having music weekends is a nice treat and there are also tv's to watch sports. I look forward to coming here and can see myself becoming a regular. It's a fairly new place and they seem to still be working some of the new restaurant kinks. That being said I have had nothing but a fabulous experience here. Reading some of the reviews I can see that people need to have more patience and give the place a chance. read more

Newly renovated restaurant in a hotel. Parking availability on weekend was in far back. We were told only table available was a communal table. It was actually a communal sofa, not table. Big difference! We both had the burger medium. Meat was good and cooked correctly, however the bun was too chewy and doughy. The fries were the worst I've tasted in a very long time. Greasy, not fully cooked with no flavor. You can always get a good vibe from a restaurant if you get bad fries or not properly cooked eggs. They had no Dijon or spicy mustard and no type of sauce for the burgers/ fries. Bistro? I think not. We won't be back. read more

I felt like I found a hidden Gem! I live further south of the place, but it was definitely worth the drive. The vibe of Grill350 definitely gave me a warm & cozy feeling the moment I walked in. We've been there several times, usually for the bar side but occasionally for the dinner with the family. Today we went for my fiancé's pre-bday party lunch (with the kids). So disappointing... The martinis were warm and after we requested them to be chilled they were just watered down. The burgers were beyond well done. My mom had to slather them in ketchup to get it down and my daughter nibbled on the bread but the burger was burned. The boneless wings seemed microwaved (so chewy). No one to complain to because no one was around. We got there around 12:30 and the dining section wasn't opened yet but they opened it for us because kids aren't allowed in the bar section. Maybe that's why?!?! Not sure... :( Anyway, it's never been stellar but certainly never so disappointing. The waiter was gracious and apologetic; clearly not his fault. I really think that with better chefs this place could be awesome! The first time we went there the ribeye was sent back twice and in an effort to not waste we just dealt with it. Please hire better chefs or get a better menu. The wait staff is usually very courteous and attentive and they deserve a shot at getting better tips. Just traveled cross-country from California. Been on an airplane all day, advised by the Wilshire Grand Hotel staff that restaurant closes around 8pm. We dropped our bags in our room and headed over to Grill 350 - walked in the door at 645pm. Hostess says sorry, our last seating cuts off at 630pm to meet our 8pm shutdown. So we missed this random "cutoff" by 15 minutes, restaurant is literally empty and we're turned away. Horrible customer experience. Notably, had to stay here due to proximity to a golf property for a friends wedding festivities that begin tomorrow (Friday). Bottom line, I can't imagine the food here can be worthwhile given the front of house service was so poor and unprofessional. read more

The menu choices were rather limited, but everyone in our party enjoyed their choices. The occasion was a retirement dinner for one of our colleagues, and their were 12 in our group. What was baffling was that there were very few other patrons on that Wednesday. Went on to get the avocado chipotle burger and I was very surprised on how the flavors worked together to make such a wonderful burger. We made Saturday night reservations for 8pm and were seated almost immediately.The place is a local establishment that used to be La Primavera owned by my old time buddy, Dominick Casalaro. Briana is the hostess and was very pleasant and informative and spent a few minutes talking about good old W.O. This Hotel restaurant has an excellent vibe (see pix) and were told they are in soft open mode. The menu had some interesting and fun selections and we welcome this type of dining and always like to support local businesses in our neighborhood. We were greeted by Nick,our server, who really does an excellent job and was working very hard, as there was limited service people working this night. We ordered GG Martini's that were nicely done and extremely reasonably priced. We immediately were served water and warm bread. I feel that the bread needs to be ramped up a bit as real foodies will judge a place by the bread they serve. It was just run of the mill hard Italian bread with sesame seeds with a nice aioli. We started with a Spinach and Crab dip app (see pix) that was well done, but needed more crab meat. Flavor was great. Portion was superb. We enjoyed our cocktails and app and noticed that they had table numbers on stainless steel holders, (two of which were cut out cardboard written in Magic Marker) which we thought was a little tacky, being they have some entrees upwards of $30. No big deal tho, growing pains, I guess. I ordered the Grilled Skirt Steak(see pix) and wifey ordered the Bronzino (see pix). Portions were great, flavors blended well and we had a great time. Travis, the owner came by our table to chat and is a perfect gentleman and was very attentive to my suggestions as being in the business for 40 years. He bought us an after dinner drink, which was very unexpected and he was a delight to talk to. We will be back and become regular customers and hope people give them a try and make this a successful venture in a very tough business segment. Great job by all!! read more

We tried it twice. Once when it first opened and then recently. While the servers are friendly and nice, they are amateurs and it doesn't seem like anyone there knows how to fix it. Dinners came moments after appetizers, only two of the three dinner plates were removed before coffee and dessert were served (this happened both times). I had to push the dirty dishes aside for them to put coffee down. They didn't seem to know they were supposed to pick it up. Three of us had steak and only two were cooked to order. Sending one back took a long time to fix. Mashed potatoes were not hot which causes safety concerns. Music was blaring so loud we had to shout to talk (in dining room, not bar). read more

I so wanted to prove the other YELP reviews wrong! The physical appearance of the restaurant brought me back to my childhood. It is warm and inviting. Unfortunately, that's where it stops. The restaurant is well staffed and at a quick glance, you can figure out the hierarchy of the wait staff. The managers are very visible, and after seeing them be called to almost every table, they have to be! We were a party of 4 and noticed that the managers were always being asked to tend to a complaint. They are very attentive and even acknowledged that YELP was not a big fan. The Bar is inviting; however, when you don't have an IPA, the only one on the menu, don't offer a Sam Adams something or other! My wife was told to order a double vodka and club since it was a better deal. Upon the first sip, she said it wasn't a double. The bar tender came over and confirmed it wasn't and offered her a double on the house, and left the original drink rather than adding to it! Kudos for him! But what about the trust factor? The menu and specials are limited and at 7:00 pm the day after Thanksgiving were already out of something. The hamburgers we ordered seemed like previously frozen and not prepared as ordered! Medium Rare was well done and the cheese wasn't even melted. Someone else ordered a $35 steak medium rare! Again, it was not as advertised and served raw! This led to an unsolicited visit from two managers, possibly husband and wife! Both were extremely apologetic, must have had much practice! The steak was taken back and cooked some more. It remained tasteless, and at this price, is criminal. The managers continued to be visible, but it was obvious it was the best of what the could produce! The only positives were the decor and that we had a YELP $15 for $30 coupon. In addition, for good faith, another $15 was deducted for the inconveniences. As I said, I so wanted to like this place! My question is why spend the time, money and effort in to a restaurant to offer such inferior food? Don't see myself going back unless to enjoy drinks at their happy hour! I had the great pleasure of having lunch here yesterday & so happy I did it was wonderful the place itself is stunning decorating beautifully I love how they mix all different elements of wood, steel, leather & a touch of copper ( Salt & Pepper shaker on table) and California shutters on windows, they also boost a beautiful bar room which is very large and tables for dining. In entering the restaurant, the owner is gracious & extremely friendly and may I add very handsome ( and happily married). It was very unprofessional this time around. Everything they asked us to do was done. Had a party of 30 everyone was there now they don't want to serve us after we did everything they asked. And why they give us one server for a party of 30 but have like 4 servers at the party next door. Mind blowing the server said one thing the manager Gina said and did another so I was totally confused. But what I do know is they lost a lot of money cause if this would have went great they would had business with us for a while cause my family would have continued to come. The first time we came no security but this time we came security what made them feel some type of way to have security just for our party because of our race. But it's cool cause we still found another place and enjoyed our night. Never in a million years would I have thought the Manager would be disrespectful to the point where my whole party would have to leave even after we did everything they asked. To me our kind is not welcome unless we are serving their kind. I was upset at first but now I'm glad we didn't spend our money with people that was TOTALLY UNGRATEFUL. Sunday night football! So I had family come into town and we wanted to go somewhere close and Grill 350 is a gem! I ordered the boneless wings and the spinach,artichoke and lump crab dip with chips. Ok...I read the reviews thinking "it's been open over a month, they will get it right." Nope! It is a comedy of a place. PROS: They did a nice job with the makeover...created a nice vibe and the live music works for the bar. No doubt, the staff wants to please--from the hostess to the entire wait staff. CONS: so sorry, but everything else. I don't expect white glove service--it's a pub! But to hire people whose sole redeeming quality is that they are nice and not train them is just not right!. These poor kids had no clue how to wait tables from greeting us, to taking orders, to serving to clearing. They were wonderfully nice but it seemed like my daughters when they were 3 playing tea party! Funny incident: one of us ordered a beer on tap and the server brought a different beer in a bottle...when I noted that I did not order that, the response was , "that's what we call your beer here!' Really? The menu was interesting but figure out what you want to be! Are you a pub style place (burgers, salad, pub food) or are you something else (fish, steak, pasta). The appetizers were reasonable but few alternatives to Fried! The bronzino, while plentiful, was mediocre at best covered in an indescribable sauce. It's too bad because my wife tasted it all night long and actually got sick from it! I had a burger (it's a pub!) Now, I like my meat cooked--I order most things 'medium'. This hockey puck never had a chance! It was so overcooked that even I could not eat it. To send it back would have meant another delay! Oh, the 'free bruschetta". Nice idea, horrific execution. Umm, I'm not Italian but I'm pretty sure bruschetta is more than just some diced tomatoes plopped in olive oil! Grill350 may, ultimately, make it as a bar. They need a more professional wait staff who have possibly done this job before yesterday. They need management who will teach the wait staff the job--in addition to being nice, they need to be competent. This is all unimportant if they cannot raise the quality of the food. I hope they can make it....it is a nice place with nice folks. Unfortunately, the product (food and Service) is awful. I had heard good things about this relatively new restaurant and finally got there to give it a try. I wanted to like it as it is convenient and looked like a nice atmosphere. However, it really didn't work. The food was ok, but inconsistent and menu somewhat limited. The crostini that they served when we sat down was stale, the chicken mole was very small and the house wine was barely drinkable. Also, I've never experienced this before at a restaurant, but the chairs at the tables are too high for the tables and therefore very uncomfortable (by the way, plastic table numbers on the tables - really?). There were many servers working, but service was unprofessional - lots of examples....... lots of choices in the area - this won't be one in the future for me. read more

However there was a patron at the bar sitting with other employees of the establishment that made several derogatory remarks towards my family that was not addressed by the employees that were in his company.
