I wish I could give this shop a higher review because I do adore this spot-- the vibes are wonderful and the edible cookie dough itself is DELICIOUS, but unfortunately each time I have gone, the service hasn't been great. The worker at the front is not approachable and not willing to assist when asked questions. Unfortunately, she does not make for a great experience, it sadly makes me feel unwelcome at the shop.

Very cute store. Sensory over load because there are a lot of cookies to choose from, but no nutritional contents on them, so basically you do not know how many calories your consuming, fat, protein, etc and the "help" was not "helpful". With that said, we ventured to purchase the truffles 6 for $12. (Aporox 150 calories each)Not that impressed. Dry and not sure how many grams of protein or sugar. As far as the shakes, again no nutritional information, very confusing and what made it worse was the rude "help". Btw. No where to sit down so you pay and leave. Very cute items for Easter, but you have to order in advance, so they do not make extra to purchase at time of visit. In conclusion, not impressed.

First time here today. Place is amazing. Has like 10+ flavored ready to eat cookie dough to eat right out if cup or to make cookies. I tried the French toast cookie. This is to die for. Plus tried the chocolate covered strawberry cookie. You must go here and try....

This place was decent...it's a cute store with a lot of different options. I'm not sure how actually healthy some of the products were, but I tried a few of the truffles and cookie flavors that were pretty good. The filled cookies are much better microwaved. The service was just average - the person working behind the counter wasn't very friendly or welcoming. The products were decent, but I'm not sure I'd go here again.

First off, the products are BOMB!!! The cookies are to die for! And honestly you can eat them guilt free as part of your prep bc they're so macro friendly. Second, CUSTOMER SERVICE is beyond! The moment you walk in, you are greeted by the staff and offered help to pick something of your tasting. I walked in a bit afraid because of prior reviews and quite honestly had an awesome experience. The owner is there herself and is super chill and down to earth. We ended up having a nice conversation and she did what owners do for their companies, create great honest relationships with her customers. I was very satisfied and will be back probably on a monthly basis

Delicious, great service, adorable treats. My partner and I come here weekly. Very grateful as my partner competes and he is able to indulge all the way up until show day.

We are frequent customers of the Dough Palace for many reason. First the place is not only adorably decorated for each holiday, but it is also spotless. It is meticulously clean, something I think is so important when purchasing food. As for the treats, we are fans of the truffles and pro-dough. Each season there are different flavors of Truffles and Prop-Dough, as well as the classics. As for truffles, you really can't go wrong. Cookie Butter, Half Baked and Red Velvet are a few of our faves. We usually try a different Pro-Dough flavor each time, and are always happy with our choice. It's delicious right out of the container or baked to make a cookie. And finally, both Dee and Ashley are super friendly and helpful. We love supporting Small Business owners, especially women, and you won't find two women that care more about their customers as much as Dee and Ashley. If you haven't been to the Dough Palace, I recommend you get there quickly. You won't be disappointed!!!!

Smaller version of a NY Cheesecake but tastes lighter. - Tiramisu cake - 4.5/5 stars. Very tasty and light. Her cousin, Tiramisu in a cup stole the show, though. 5/5 if I hadn't had her cousin. - Tiramisu cup - 5/5 stars. You are treated to a masterpiece. The mascarpone, the shot of coffee, the sweetness of the creame all play exquisitely well together. - Fruit Tart - 4/5 stars. Fresh berries were ripe and sweet. The crust was not soggy, at all. The custard was smooth and exceptional. - Creme Brulee - 4.5/5 stars. Not overly sweet and pure bliss. The top lager of touched crust, didn't hold up to the travel, sadly. It was soft but still delightful. - Custard cup - 4.5/5 stars. This reminded me of a Portuguese egg tart but better. - Giant horn - 5/5 stars. The outside crust was flaky and perfect. The inside filling was the perfect balance as it was silky smooth and delightful. Not overly sweet which pairs perfectly with coffee or tea. Stop reading this review and go get your edible delights.

They brought with them the best of mostly southern Italian and Sicilian pastries, cakes, and cookies. These delicacies all share a mixed past, some equally as French as they are Italian, and others showing Arabic-Sicilian influence. Many of the items continue to be made in the Italian tradition, while others have morphed into something uniquely Italian-American. Located off 46 East in Fairfield, this family-owned and operated establishment, founded in 1962, is one of our favorites for sweet desserts and Italian pastries. Upon arriving on this Christmas Day at Calandra's Italian and French Bakery, a steady stream of patrons entered its door to an interior space big and nicely designed, awaiting their turns on several available lines. On display in their numerous cases, there were cookies to cannolis, an assortment of cookies, pies, cakes, custom cakes, jarred sauces, and homemade pasta. I decided on a coconut custard pie, a pecan pie, and several pasteis de nata. Everything was so good and simply amazing, with a variety of freshly baked goods that cater to all tastes, especially the pasteis, just how the bakeries in Newark's Ironbound district make them. Will definitely be returning here for the next event.

To go a little further, I go to an event a few weeks ago where their cookies are the main dessert and see gluten free and the little one and I do a happy dance. I skeptically open the wrapper and taste one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've had in a long time. I then proceed to order just about everything they will ship. I do have to say that gluten free is going to be different for anyone who isn't used to it but this comes almost perfectly close to a regular cookie without having a million ingredients in it that you can't pronounce. Absolutely amazing. They're so good that my gluten loving brothers have been stealing all my cookies. Did Oprah name this the best gluten free chocolate chip cookie? Yes. Do I usually listen to Oprah? Debatable...but she did also rate the chocolate cake at The Chocolate Room as the best and she was right on about that. Generally gluten free cookies are either chewy because of date paste (in excess) or they are super thin and crunchy and lack those comforting flavors that you look for. This cookie has an amazing height, a super buttery taste and is loaded with chocolate chips. I also ordered the midnight double chocolate cookie and in general I turn my nose up at white chocolate chips but this reminded me of my favorite cookies I used to get at the mall when I was little. Again, buttery and delicious with the right amount of sweetness, not overboard at all - not even with the small amount of white chocolate. The oatmeal plus is another amazing cookie. I happen to love oatmeal cookies and it's one of the only things that I will bake gluten free myself because I don't trust anywhere else but these are awesome! The cranberries, and again with the aid of a few white chocolate chips (literally), are the perfect balance and make for an absolutely delightfully chewy oatmeal cookie. Super huge bonus - every one of my family members and the little one hate raisins so the cranberries are a very welcome change. The butterscotch walnut sugar cookie is amazing! I kind of wanted to do incredibly unhealthy things with it upon the first taste and sent some to a gluten free girlie friend and she said the same thing - divine. It's the perfect hit of sweet and salt. The brownies are a little more on the cakey side but I totally don't mind because again the flavor is perfect, chocolatey, not too sweet and a great texture. Mom and I both thought the same thing on the first taste - perfect vehicle for brownie sundaes. They also sell granola (which I didnt get this time but might have to soon) and breads (I suppose in the area, not for shipment) and the online ordering was super easy and fast. The super important thing is that they're so serious about being gluten free that celiacs everywhere can rejoice. Their facility was set up with all new equipment - no bread oven from another bakery or anything like that. They test their foods to a sensitivity that not even other brands (or probably bakeries) do and do not allow anything with gluten in the facility, because in case you didn't know cross contamination is so easy (Babycakes I'm looking at you). This was truly a find and a treat and I now have boxes and boxes of cookies that I thought were gonna last for a while but at the rate that everyone is eating them I'd be surprised if they last even two more weeks. Gluten free brownie sundae here we come!

I've been aware of this bakery/pastry establishment for a few years (I think it showed up in this relatively new apartment building on Main Street two or three years ago), but hadn't actually thought to go inside until yesterday morning. I was entrusted with obtaining a dessert for a weekend BBQ, and it occurred to me that this was at least the easiest spot to quickly grab something. The fact that the desserts were extremely good ended up being a pleasant accident/bonus. I brought one of my top tier chums to assist with the purchase. From very brief research, it seemed like the eclairs were the big selling point here. I thought it would also be a little wily on my part to get them because I tend to not enjoy eating food that has stuff in it, and figured I'd be unlikely to do anything too naughty with that. That turned out not to be accurate, but I digress. We got the five for $25 éclair deal, and procured a raspberry, a lemon meringue, a nutella, a pistachio and a cookies & cream. Just as we were about to wrap up, I also impulsively grabbed a cheddar/bacon scone, which was humongous and understandably caught my eye. The eclairs were definitely a hit. My personal favorite was the cookies & cream. The flavor was incredibly on point, and it was almost like a meta ice cream experience. The only issue with that one specifically was that the cream inside was runnier than the other pastries, which made it a little messy. Not a huge deal. The runner-up was probably the raspberry for me. Again, extremely flavorful, almost to a fault - it was overwhelmingly tart, which is obviously kind of a calling card for raspberries but if you're not into that, I'd stay away. The nutella was actually a little on the bland side for me but not bad. The lemon meringue was a big hit for everyone else, but I'm not a huge fan of that flavor to begin with - I don't think that's a mark against this place by any means. In hindsight, we probably wouldn't have gotten the pistachio, but none of us are hardcore pistachio fans. The cream consistency and dough for all of these was very high quality, and understandably a lot of this is going to come down to how you feel about specific flavors. In a final twist later on, I sampled the scone around dinner time and was very pleasantly surprised - the scone was very moist and tasty, and was reminiscent of a Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuit, though probably at least twice the size and with actual pieces of bacon in it. Very strong recommend on that front. The service was very good. We had a pleasant female cashier assisting us as my chum was literally squatting on the ground eagerly peering into the display case squealing out flavors to get. Zero issues there, and we were in and out within a few minutes uneventfully. There were also a lot of cakes and other types of pastries, so I expect I'll be returning shortly to obtain their assistance with another BBQ.
