Here's a piece of advice for someone trying to make it in the small business world- If you're going to Google images and not mark on your Instagram posts that the image posted is for inspiration only and not your actual work that's called FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! Update 8 months later- The owner still continues to post false advertisement with images saved from Google and Pinterest claiming it as their own product. The reason why my review is so harsh is because I want other buyers aware of the poor product they are going to receive that their hard earned cash paid for. DO NOT ORDER FROM CAPPIE CAKES! I left it out in the shade, it was an outside party. When I looked at the cake, my daughter's name looked like it was slapped on by a child and the top fondant swirl on top was uneven. No big deal... When I finally cut into the cake, it was very hard and seemed very dry right away. Not a typical moist cake. I honestly had no desire to even taste it and felt bad distributing it out. I had asked a few people how they liked it and they even said it was dry but the icing and everything else was good. I think they tried to be nice. I messaged SJ telling her I was not happy with it and even my guests felt the same. She was speechless and her feelings were hurt that I didn't like the cake. When she asked what she can do, I told her I wanted 50% off. Since most of it went in the garbage too. She eventually became very defensive and blamed me and saying something about the butter and how it didn't melt in the shade or how I should've left it out longer..? Which I never heard of and also saying she uses fresh ingredients and all her cakes are fresh and she puts in a lot of time into each of her cakes. I do believe her so I don't understand why I felt my cake was so hard and dry. Her husband even messaged me too. I even showed her screen shots of what my guests said and how they agreed that the cake was very dry. She didn't like that I sent her what my guests said.
