We recently ordered a smash cake, cupcakes, and themed sugar cookies for my son's 1st birthday. Woodland bakery was able to exactly replicate the image I shared for my son's cake. I had initially ordered the cake and cupcakes, but when my other plans fell through for giveaways to my guests last minute, Nancy worked with me to include an order of custom themed sugar cookies that not only looked amazing but tasted amazing too (I received several unsolicited compliments on them!) Highly recommend!

Pretty average bakery. Sugar cookies were fine, nothing amazing. The chocolate chip whoopie pie was good, but the family was not a fan of the crumb cake which they said is very popular.

I've been a loyal customer for years, but I will never go back. I'm not sure what changed but I would never get a cake from woodland with such horrible writing. They didn't even spell birthday out! Now I know why they didn't show it to me there. The cake itself tasted horrible, filling was awful. Definitely not worth the $30 it cost.

Stopped in with our grandson to get a few cookies. The selection was wide and colorful. They're all made on site and they looked awesome

Good baked goods, not a fan of the backstory and YouTube drama. Where never a Cakeboss but definitely were about crumbs to get there

A cute cafe in downtown Chatham with lots of street parking. Came here after lunch in the afternoon…read morespecifically for the coffee and desserts, and wow! They have multiple coffee options, and I really appreciated that the coffee actually had a strong, bold coffee flavor. I only wish I could've tried more of their desserts because so many of them looked amazing! Unfortunately, they were already almost sold out by around 3 PM (and this was on a weekday!) so definitely come earlier if you want the full selection! We tried a few desserts and really enjoyed everything. The éclair was a tiny bit on the sweeter side for me, but still good. The pistachio macaron was probably one of my favorites because it had such a strong pistachio flavor, which I love. It was soft with a great texture while still holding its shape perfectly. I also really enjoyed the Black Forest cake - the sponge was soft and moist with plenty of chocolate shavings and wasn't overly heavy. What made the experience even better was the staff. Everyone was so lovely, friendly, and genuinely helpful. They were super proactive with cleaning and helping and made us feel very welcome. I had such a good time here and will definitely be back! Maybe earlier next time so I can try even more of the desserts!

I'm a sucker for miniature cupcakes from a cuteness perspective but do hold them to a high standard…read morefor taste -- they have to live up to the fantasy to get a 5-star like this. Because they usually disappoint in the flavor department, I try to manage expectations. A friend served these at dinner last night and I smiled politely before my first bite but man-oh-man do they live up to the tiny perfection of their appearance. Light, airy cake, both chocolate and vanilla-based -- already pretty unusual. But some with added surprise touches of chips or sprinkles in exactly right proportions. And the frosting, just...WOW. Holy Toledo. Fluffy clouds of delicate buttercream, not a hint of greasiness or grinding sugar!!! With actual flavor of fruit in the strawberry and lemon and vanilla in the white toppings. My dream frosting in precisely the right amount relative to itty-bitty cake size. Remarkably, as tiny ones tend to quickly stakes, they are tasting just as amazing the next day, as I type this. Plus, the ones I passed over last night, thinking "meh, blue frosting, that'll be unbearably sweet" or had other reservations about? Uniformly delicious!!! Do I sound ridiculously fulsome about mini cupcakes? Yes, yes I do. But only because these are probably the best I've had in a decade (of many, many cupcake trials), in ANY size. The fact that they are beautiful, minute replicas of gourmet grown-up cupcakes is like getting a winning scratch-off in your birthday card from grandma. Pure bliss.

Wish they had more GF options since the cupcakes I picked up were delicious. I got two vanilla…read morecupcakes with vanilla/sprinkles and chocolate frosting. The chocolate frosting was thicker than the vanilla and the vanilla was definitely fluffier and lighter. Both were good but different. Other options were mini cupcakes but some cookies and other things in GF would have been great.

I had been wanting to try Liv Breads for so long, especially after all of the amazing reviews I had…read moreread and the positive feedback I had heard from family. I finally made it there the other day and was shocked at how substantial the place was. It was no small bakery, but was a full cafe and gourmet shop as well. Though I did not try their savory sandwiches, breads, salads, or spreads at that time, I did purchase some of their sweets. First, the Chocolate Rugelach were some of the best I have had. The delicate, flaky cookies were like little croissants and were ribboned with a rich chocolate spread. Their version also had hints of vanilla, which I really enjoyed. I also got one of their large Chocolate Chip Cookies, which was thin, but packed with gooey bittersweet and semi-sweet chocolate. It also had a light sprinkling of Maldon sea salt on the top. It was super decadent! Liv Breads exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to revisiting to try many more of their items.

I have never written a negative review before, which probably says something about how upsetting…read morethis experience was for me. My family and I have been regular customers at Liv Breads in Millburn for the past five or six years. I come here almost every day, often morning and evening, for coffee and breakfast, and my husband gets his coffee here literally every single day. We have always enjoyed the food and coffee and have spent a considerable amount of money supporting this bakery over the years. Even a regular black coffee here costs around $5 plus and when you are buying coffee and breakfast this frequently for years, you are clearly a loyal, paying customer. But what happened today genuinely hurt me. After finishing my coffee, I asked for the usual refill. The person serving me insisted that I bring back my used coffee cup before she would give me the refill. She then specifically told me that "a lot of people like you" have been asking for refills, and therefore she needed to see my cup before giving me one. If there is a new policy requiring customers to show their original cup, I have absolutely no problem with the policy. What upset me was the way it was communicated, particularly the phrase "people like you." As a brown-skinned Indian woman, I could not help but wonder what exactly "people like you" meant and whether I would have been spoken to the same way if I looked different. I am not claiming to know what was in anyone's mind, but I can say how the interaction made me feel: singled out, embarrassed and unwelcome. I have lived in the U.S. for years and cannot remember another interaction that made me feel this way. What makes it especially disappointing is that this wasn't an interaction between a business and someone who walked in for the first time. They know us. We have been coming here almost daily for years. Customer loyalty should mean something--not free coffee and not an exemption from reasonable policies, but simply being treated with familiarity, dignity and respect. The food and coffee have always been good, and that is exactly why we kept coming back for so many years. Unfortunately, after today's interaction, I walked away feeling deeply uncomfortable and no longer welcome. After five or six years of supporting this bakery, it genuinely makes me sad to say that I don't plan to return.
