Today we visited the famous (and diet infamous) Bakehouse by Joe Murphy in Madison, NJ. What can I say about their brownie except Yum! Not knowing what we were going to choose, we decided to go for the classic brownie, which is a fudgy, chocolatey, decadent treat that's perfect for any meal. The super friendly and extremely helpful person at the counter said "you get a different experience when it's cold versus room temperature" which we tried and now I want more. After decades in 5-star hotels and Michelin-star restaurants as a head pastry chef, Joe Murphy wanted to bring Parisian-style and luxury baked goods home - serving them up to my neighbors in NJ. Making high-quality baked goods accessible, from their custom cakes and pies to classic (but far from ordinary) cookies and brownies. Had their famous chocolate cake which was delicious. Since I'm not too much of a sweets gal def had this in three sittings. The iced latte was also very good not too strong but perfectly made. Service was excellent the girl behind the counter was super friendly and gave suggestions about what to try. Ambiance was great this is a spot to stop by and chat with friends or even enjoy a baked good and coffee while you read

Heard amazing things about this place and have been meaning to check it out for awhile. Finally had a chance to stop by today and I am so glad I finally tried it!! We got a number of things to try, including cheese danish, raspberry cheese danish, maple bacon croissant, ginger snap cookie, and of course, the signature blackout chocolate cake. Everything was absolutely delicious, the chocolate cake was probably one of the best chocolate cakes I ever had. It was moist, flavorful and perfectly sweet. The space is super cute and inviting. Can't wait to come back again soon!

Every time I'm in the area I stop by! The bakery has a great variety of pastries, both savory and sweet. You can tell they're baked fresh and they're always delicious! My favorite are the croissants that are so light and flaky! Of course the Brooklyn black out cake is also a must try, it beat Bobby Flay on his Food Network show! The service is always quick and so friendly. They'll also warm up a pastry for you! They have a few seats inside and outside to enjoy your treats. Parking is easy in a plaza. Definitely worth checking out!

Eating his blackout cake is better than sex! No wonder he beat Bobbie Flay! You'll love. Brownies and blondes are wonderful too

Everyone loved the cake! When we picked up the cake we couldn't resist the coffee and apple carrot muffin. So good.

Strawberry shortcake, not too sweet

Great bakery in New Providence. The strawberry shortcake is presented very differently than what you'd normally see. The cake part is super fluffy and whipped cream not overly sweet at all (just like how I prefer)! They have a variety of baked goods and cakes, like sprinkle cakes which looked fun.

Brooklyn Blackout Cake

Located in a small strip mall, parking is ample. Once you walk in, you are surrounded by the smell of baked goodies. Hello Diabetes!!! Lol I love their Brooklyn Blackout cake and their cheesecake. The cheesecake is light and decadent. The Blackout cake is something you just don't shove in to your face & swallow but something to swirl inside your mouth and savor the chocolatey goodness. Quite a trip from where I live but always worth the trek in a very nice upscale neighborhood. Service is good with the young kids in the counter, they give you tips depending on what you buy (storing & serving). Very helpful.

Finally got to experience this place after hearing of it for more than 2+ years! I've heard at…read moretimes this Coffee spot can be pretty packed, so I feel like I came on a really good day. First off: Service. I told the employee that this was my first time there, and they were more-than-happy to help me make a decision for my order. Patient and walked me through. Second: The Food. Let's get into it. 1) Cassava Latte ($7.50) - I was so pleasantly suprised at this drink; described as "(i)nspired by the Filipino dessert cake, made with condensed milk and coconut." The first sip, and I was intrigued! It was perfectly sweet, and the perfect mix of that coconut-dessert taste that cassava typically delivers! It tasted genuine, if that's possible. 2) Sinigang Croquette ($5.00) - This was interesting. Described as "Pork and Gabi (taro) shaped into a patty, rolled in Japanese bread crumbs, and deep fried. Served with our in-house sawsawan (dipping sauce)", it hit all the right notes. To be honest? $5.00 for 1 felt a bit steep. I'd pay $7.50 for two, though! 3) Boy Bawang Shio Pan ($7.50) - This was the most curious of all my purchases. Described as an "(i)n-house salt bread rolled in garlic and corn crumbs, filled with roasted garlic butter, topped with corn cheese whip. Inspired by the popular Filipino snack: Boy Bawang. THIS ITEM I SING ITS PRAISES. I am an absolute lover of the Boy Bawang Garlic Flavor Corn Snack --- much more pungent than anything Corn Nuts could ever offer. This Shio Pan absolutely delivered with its roasted garlic flavor! And as soon as you take a few bites ---- you get hit with that roasted garlic butter --- and let me tell you, they are not shy about their filling! Absolute master class --- but it's only for a limited run. You should definitely try! Third: Ambiance - The Cafe is quaint --- and has a seating area that could maybe fit between 18-24 people? It's just along the side of the business, but I managed to get a table for myself. Ayala, you did not disappoint! Can't wait to try your Sisig Flatbread for the next round!

I came into this place with very high expectations because it was ranked globally on beli. It was…read moregood, but it did miss a bit. First the good: The food was good! I had the sisig flatbread and the pork croquette. The sisig flatbread had very unique and complex flavors. I thought it was very creative. The croquette was fresh and tasty, but it was truly the sauce that came with it that was the star of the show. It bold and vinegary and tasted great with the sisig flat bread as well. I tried a bit of my friend's pandan waffle and it was quite tasty! I could really taste the pandan. Now the bad. The ube latte was mediocre. I asked for mine with matcha, but I really couldn't even taste the matcha. I think next time I might try their other drinks to see if there is a difference. However, I was really expecting better. Overall: I'd say the food is better than the drinks, which is a bit of a disappointment because I was hoping for both to be out of this world. The service was good and the staff was very kind. I also enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant as well.
