An adorable cafe right across from the Westfield train station. The owners are super nice and helpful, while the space is very inviting and calming. The star attraction here is the cupcake, many varieties and like a work of art. Love all the ones I've tried thus far.

Their special saturday "crookie" is worthy of a ritual. In addition to that... This place is authentically french with the sweet warmth of your favorite neighborhood bakery. Staff is great - warm without the overt cheerfulness. Get your pastry of choice, a double espresso , sit in the back by their kitchen -- then listen and watch the crew brainstorm a cake design, jumping smoothly between french and english. That's what I'm doing right now and I need not be anywhere else. What a perfect little moment.

Victoria's Cake is a " boutique bakery" with a French flare! Gourmet sweet treats and coffee/ tea selections! Offer baking classes and tea parties! Great service!! Beautiful place to enjoy your coffee!

Get their coffee. It's delicious and I've noticed a lot of people do. Wonderful and warm greeting, reminded me of Paris. And if you want a French bakery high, come in and take a whiff. What aroma. Everything is freshly put out and looks wonderful. I can't wait to try the pastry. They have tiny canelles and that will be my first try. Indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of outlets but wifi may not work consistently. Across from train station with plenty of parking out front.

Love this place! The owner is so nice and friendly! They make the best cappuccino and I love their Chocolicious cupcake and their Cookies & Cream cupcake! It's so pretty in there and a nice place to just sit and enjoy your coffee and pastry!

Very rude place. The owners are extremely defensive and rude. I had a horrible experience recently. Besides the horrible customer service the pastries were dry and one of them even burnt. Which is weird because at least their product used to be good.

    If "Scrumptious" was a photo.

We love this place and the family friendly atmosphere.. it's always good, always bright and always amazing.

I had this spot on my list for a while and finally got a chance to try. When I arrived I parked right in front of the bakery. I walked in and was greeted by the owner's mom. It was a cute bakery amd family ran. Some of the items were a bit pricey. I ordered the small nutella cupcake which was $5.50 and small beignets for $3.50. I paid and left. When I tried the baked goods they were good. Nice and moist and tasty.

They add this sticker to your cake box!

Victoria's Cake is absolutely one of the best additions to Westfield, NJ! Their baked goods are classic French and every single thing I've tried is delicious, from their baguettes to croissants to meringues to cupcakes to birthday cakes. I recently bought the strawberry mousse cake for my mom's birthday to Quatorze, a French restaurant in NYC. We all loved the traditional dense French cake, the fresh strawberries, the heavenly mousse. The cake is not angel food, the flavor is condensed. It's no wonder the French are slim, you don't need to keep eating to feel satiated! The bakery itself is so pretty and you feel transported to France. I recommend it highly!

This is literally the cutest bake shop! Right in downtown Westfield, Victoria's Cake just opened up their mother/daughter bakery! You walk in and you can't help but smile from all the pink, girly atmosphere (it makes you feel like you're in France) to the incredible menu of pastries, cupcakes and goodies! They have plenty of seating for coffee and snacks, as well as a huge 'lounge' area with couches, overlooking the kitchen! They even have baking classes! I can't wait to take my mom for a nice morning! If you need a cake, you can pre-order one! Victoria and her mom are delightful and i can't wait to go back!!

    Finished cake!

We went to the Thanksgiving cake decorating class and it was so much fun! What a fun night with friends and even better to walk away with a stunning treat to celebrate the holidays with your family and friends (not that it lasted that long - LOL!). Thank you Victoria, we loved hearing your story, how you came to Westfield, and enjoying your beautiful bakery! Amy

    Beautiful and yummy cakes!

Victoria's Cake is a wonderful addition to Westfield! Our family is a huge fan of the croissants, bread, cupcakes, cakes.. well everything! The shop is adorable and the owners (directly from France) couldn't be nicer. It is an amazing place to grab a cup of coffee, some fresh French pastries and sit and relax. Plus they have monthly baking classes, which are a lot of fun! Highly recommend! Pictures are gorgeous birthday cakes that Victoria made for our daughter's birthday. Be sure to stop by, it will be love at first bite!

This is a super cute little bakery and coffee shop in Downtown Westfield. There is street parking…read moreand a few parking lots in the area so we just parked at one, wanted about, and also made a stop here. As a nod to the name (Kirshenbaum is German for cherry tree), there are little cherries everywhere inside from signs to wallpaper. Ample seats, natural light, friendly staff, plus delectable treats make this place a good one to stop at. They also serve light bites but as we were sort of hopping from one place to another on a Sunday, I only ordered a few sweet treats. BLACK FOREST: my daughter picked this, likely because she thought it was a chocolate cake. But it was not your average chocolate cake. A good sized slice with moist cake, cherries, and dark chocolate bits throughout, I highly enjoyed this one. It's perfectly sweet - though I admit my daughter finished the exterior layer of frosting so the thin layered in between the cake were ideal for my taste buds. It was a bit too elevated for my daughter who only really wanted your regular chocolate cake. MATCHA CRUFFIN: This is a croissant-muffin filled with matcha cream, rolled in sugar. The laminated dough was packed so not like your airy-but-crispy-exterior croissant, nor was it noticeable buttery, but it did do its job by keeping its shape and the layers helped give its name. It was lovely to pull apart, with a nice, chewy texture. The filling wasn't exactly in the center (I shared this with my husband) so I dipped a little into the filling (borderline reminded me of pastry cream) that my husband got. It's light but also has a very nice matcha flavor that comes through. RASPBERRY LYCHEE PIE: I love pie and I was happy to find a uniquely flavored one here especially since it reminded me of my favorite ice cream flavor in Europe at Haagen Dazs years back (rose raspberry lychee) so I pounced on it. First off, this is definitely a mousse pie. We're vegetarian so a part of me wonders if gelatin was used to make this so I likely won't get this a second time without me asking the necessary questions - but it is good. As with most mousse confections, this is light and delicate in a way. Airy. Still substantial that I didn't feel cheated out of my money but not too filling. Nothing overpowered each other and the flavors and textures worked together beautifully. There were chunks of raspberries but I don't recall actual bits of lychee fruit in there, though you do get the flavor of it in there. I absolutely love the interesting flavors here and the items I got. I especially am a fan of how everything is perfectly sweet. I have a sweet tooth, but only for things that aren't too sweet and this is completely up my alley. They do have gluten free options but nothing extensive. And I'm pretty sure they include eggs. I have a kid with multiple food allergies and he couldn't have anything here so I got him a bottle of apple juice and he was content with it. I'll definitely stop by again to try more items and get a drink to go with. Maybe get my daughter a cookie since I hear they're pretty good.

The service was patient and friendly as we took some time on what to order. I tried four different offerings. Double Chocolate Chip Cookie ($4.25) - This was a dark chocolate cookie with chocolate chip chunks. This was a good size, but it just fell short for me. I liked the chewy middle and texture, but it just felt like more chocolate could have been tasted as crazy as that sounds. Strawberry Jam Donut ($3.85) - This was a brioche donut filled with their own strawberry jam. The strawberry jam was the lone highlight here. It was great, but the actual donut was not. It was also a little small for the price. I just did not think I liked the brioche type of donut here. It needed to be sweeter, but that jelly, exceptional. Cheesy Jalapeno Croissant ($7) - This was filled with mozzarella cheese, pickled jalapeno peppers, and was topped with an everything seasoning. This was definitely the best product tried of the day. The croissant was flaky and light while the inside had plenty of jalapenos and mozzarella. The jalapenos of this particular one were quite spicy, which was nice. The everything topping was not needed I thought. Gluten Free Strawberry Lemon Cake Slice ($7.25) - This was a lemon vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream. This was a nice sized slice. If I did not know this was gluten free before eating, I do not think I would have been able to tell. Having said that though, the cake slice as a whole was just okay. The cake had good texture, and the buttercream was nicely done, but it just was alright and did not excite me. Maybe, I was missing the gluten! Will I go back? Possibly.

Passed by this place countless times since it's on a main Street in downtown Westfield and finally…read moremade it in with my family on a Saturday morning. We were greeted as soon as we walked in... and then I quickly realized there were THREE people behind the counter. We were the only ones there for a few moments before another family walked in behind us. They had gone there before so generally knew what they wanted. Me? Not so much. Despite how many people were working at the time, there were no explanations or help... but they do respond to questions. They have a few small tables but it's a relatively small store. There are display cases filled with cookies, pastries, cupcakes, and cakes. Lots of character in there, but nothing is labeled and there are no prices other than the cookies (they're purchased by weight... 1 lb is 10 cookies). I sort of ran with it, but since I don't know the names of half the items, this will be a more general review. I grabbed a lobster tail and a sfogliatelle. They look similar at first glance... but when I asked, they are definitely NOT the same thing. In fact, she sounded a bit offended I asked. Hahaha. She mentioned something about the sfogliatelle being baked? It also comes in two sizes and I got the large. I later ate them and... I'm not too sure what the difference is because they're similar in shape. The lobster tail seems to be a flaky pastry that was cut in half and the cream piped in. The sfogliatelle was not cut but it was filled as well and I'm pretty sure they added orange zest to it... I liked that. The lobster tail didn't have any citrus that I remembered. I enjoyed them... but we ate them the next day. They weren't the crispiest then. Also got two large cannoli's filled with the regular cream. Plus a cream puff filled with "custard" (you can opt for ricotta instead). And an interesting beige white tart and a teeny fruit tart (I actually wanted the bigger fruit tart but they got the mini one instead... I didn't notice until we got home since everything is packed behind the counter). Cannolis were pretty good! Lots of cream and the shells were still crisp, but you could taste the oil since they're deep fried. I should have gotten the smaller size so the proportions would have been more balanced. The cream puff was a cream puff? Nice and light with the thick filling inside that wasn't too sweet. The fruit tart was good with a standard sweet tart shortbread crust. The mystery lattice tart thing was good as well! Not sweet and had very interesting flavors... fairly certain almonds were a part of it. Probably a version of frangipane? My daughter got a Spider-Man cupcake. Their cupcakes have a thin icing type topping instead of your typical piped frosting on top. They're also filled with a buttery frosting that isn't too sweet! I was pleasantly surprised. I was apprehensive when she was adamant on getting that cupcake because they're often overly sweet. I would like to note that a lot of their creams/custard filled goodies use the same filling. And it's not what I expected. Custard, it said. The filling was definitely more dense, not too sweet (a great thing), but also slightly grainy. I can't say they were eggy and they were far from the consistency of pudding. I'm thinking they might be ricotta based? The most loose "filling" we ate was probably the cannoli cream. Overall, I'm not sure exactly what I ate since they never really went the extra step or elaborated when I asked questions. Very to the point for a group of teenagers who were behind the counter. They were nice? But sort of uninterested. They seemed a little more enthusiastic about the other family. Oh yes. I also ordered a coffee for my husband... which wasn't rung up. I went back wondering where it was and it turns out it was forgotten about but we did eventually get it. He got a large and it is a HUGE cup. So... the goodies were pretty good. I was surprised in several ways - the fact I'm not too sure what I ordered and that they were perfectly sweet. But I found service lacking a bit. I will likely go back again if I'm in the area but I'd probably be just as clueless. We would have tried the goodies there and stayed longer but one of my kids has multiple food allergies and the place doesn't seem great for that (or for non-regulars) so we ate them later when our kid could have something as well. The pastries ended up being about $4-5 each and the cupcake was $4.50 - so the total adds up FAST. There is an automatic 3.75% service charge that was added on... not sure what that's about? The total was about $40 at the end, not including tip. My rating is a 3 because though I generally enjoyed the treats I got, I have mixed feelings due to the experience on this first visit as a whole. I'm hoping my future visits will be better.

Almost Home is a trendy cafe that has gorgeous wall decor, a comfy couch (if you want to enjoy your order without a table meal), and incredible food. They also have an adjacent parking lot, which was justifiably packed. Our Server was Maddie and she did an exceptional job throughout the entire meal. She gave appreciated recommendations and her coworkers kept us comfortable and satiated. All three of the beverages were nicely presented and thoroughly enjoyed: Pistachio Latte, Pumpkin Spice Latte, and a Shaken Espresso. Personally, the Shaken Espresso was VERY GOOD. It was served in a tall glass and the cinnamon, once stirred throughout the entire glass, elevated the taste to deliciousness. Now, onto the entrees: Blueberry Pancakes (two buttermilk pancakes, topped with blueberry compote, whipped ricotta, and powered sugar). I was told, that these were the best pancakes they've ever had. My entree was the Ricotta Toast (house whipped ricotta, topped with roasted tomatoes, local NJ honey, and balsamic glaze). This was my first time having Ricotta Toast and it was better than any other Avocado Toast I've ever had. The ricotta was smooth, creamy, and the glaze gave every bite a pleasantly sweet addition to the already delectable selection. Almost Home General has skyrocketed to the top of my breakfast/brunch options and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT, again. If Westfield is too far, they have other locations (Westwood, Jersey City, and Lincroft). Oh, and btw, they all have Google ratings of 4.5 and above. Nuff said.

Stopped in the other morning to try out Almost Home General after seeing so many posts…read more To start, place is very cute with loads of seating. Staff were very kind and very helpful!! They provided suggestions which I love. Ordered an iced log cabin. Loved the drink!! Only downside, even though it was iced, felt like warm. It was delicious regardless. Just felt like more ice was needed. Loved the positive sayings on the cups. Needed it that morning! Ordered an OG breakfast sandwich and that was delicious. Little pricy, but filling. Overall enjoyed it and will be back to try more!
