I actually was very pleasantly surprised by this option for the area. Don't be intimidated by immediately having to wait on line to order, as it moves so quickly. There weren't so many sandwich options, which was what brought us in. We got the burrata with mortadella schiacciata and the focaccia nuovo. The former was delicious. I'm used to a thicker spread of burrata so was interested in how thin this was but yet still so creamy. The bread could have been a skosh thicker but it was so buttery I didn't even mind. I stopped in with a gf for some afternoon coffee. Service is great! We were greeted by this lovely lady who I believe is the owner. She offered us some samples which were all very tasty. My gf got one of the sandwiches which I tried and the bread was very good. The bottom had this nice crisp and the rest was nice and airy. Today I ordered coffee as well and again was cold. I believe it's none dairy milk cause the coffee end up cold don't know why or how!!! It has a nice setup with interesting decor. Ordered 2 sandwiches. The sandwiches don't have prices indicated, but the 2 that we ordered were $15 each (they also had a truffle flavored one that was $25). While these are fairly expensive, the sandwiches are actually quite large and filling, so I felt that the price was quite reasonable. The sandwich itself was delicious. Definitely seemed in line with what I remember having in Italy. The bread was tasty, and I really enjoyed the fillings. My only complaint was about the nutella donut looking thing that we ordered. I didn't enjoy that, as it tasted like an ordinary regular donut with a bunch of nutella stuffed inside. Okay in concept but I expected a little more for the price. read more

The pricing was a bit pricy but but the box of cookies were the most expensive costing $32, the sandwich $9.50 and the fruit tart $6.25. The sandwich was $16. They must have been out of focaccia for the day so it was put on regular sourdough bread. It definitely was not worth $16. I was surprised by the hype online of this place. Maybe I caught them on an off day? There were 3 tiny circles of fresh mozzarella on my sandwich and barely any prosciutto. 2 small circles of tomatoes. And regular sourdough bread. I've been to other genuine Italian markers in NJ and they pack the sandwiches with prosciutto, among other things, for less than $16. I get the sense the restaurant is banking on the fact that they are in a nice town and people are willing to pay more. As one can see from the picture, you have to squint to see the prosciutto and it's actually tomato you may be mistaking for extra prosciutto. I gave 3 stars because the taste was fresh, but honestly I felt like I paid $16 for 2 slices of sourdough with a small amount of mozzarella and tomato. Ordered the prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich that was so tasty. The Tuscan focaccia bread is so light and flaky. Never had one taste like that! My colleague ordered the vegetarian fig, arugula and cheese sandwich that he also truly enjoyed. Shared a bottle of Sangiovese along with a cappuccino and a few custard (cream catalana) pastries that are made daily in house. They don't cut any corners here as the owner wanted it as authentic as it could be. Had to take some Italian cookies with me. Looks like they will be expanding to New York City soon.
