Babba's is one of the busiest bagel shops in Union County for a reason - they churn out a diverse set of delicious bagels alongside tasty breakfast sandwiches with consistency and kindness. One warning to those who failed the parking component of the drivers exam - the lot is a nightmare. One half backs up directly onto Terrill, and the whole of the lot has tight spaces. Though I can spot the lines, it appears I may have a hidden super power, as your average patron here will graciously take 2 or more spaces with their compact car. But if you get past that, or just decide to park down the side street or get a lift, you're in for a solid selection of carb-y goodness. My personal favorites are the cinnamon crunch and French toast bagels, which are specialty options beyond your standard choices. You can then top it all off with a handful of unique cream cheeses, or just slather it with standard cream cheese as the Jersey Gods intended. The last thing I'll say is that there's a good group of people there. The woman working the counter and a few other workers, once they get to know your face, are great at anticipating what you need and moving you through the queue quickly. I have been going here for years. I do recommend that you go in person. I have police orders on Grubhub and the orders never come correctly. Something is always a mistake so I recommend going in person. The line is always out of control. You never really know where to stand but when you do get your food, it is always decent. There really isn't a lot of seating in there most of people who are sitting down there waiting to get their food so I wouldn't recommend sitting down in there to eat. read more

I normally only come here on the weekends when I am in the area. I have gotten their pork roll, egg and cheese on a plain bagel or their egg white, spinach and feta wrap. I find that the only problem is their consistency. For example, I bought a wrap on Saturday and everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious. So good that I bought a wrap again on Sunday but it was greasy and way over cooked. BEST BAG SHOP IN CENTRAL JERSEY! I live less than a 10 minute drive away from here and of all the bagel spots in my area, this one is my go to all time favorite - hands down! They have a huge variety of bagels that you can pick from and one of my family's favorite including myself is this rainbow bagel - I LOVE THEM! I've never one like this in my area and found it to be super unique. The bag itself it super fresh and very fluffy whereas other bagel shops in the area lack the fluffy and airiness that I get from Babba's. This bag shop is a small section for sitting and eating if you choose to eat inside or outside for the warmer months. They also offer halal platters for lunch which I've never tried as of yet however speaking for the breakfast menu I can say it's great! This place is very very popular and that's how you can tell it really good. The staff is very friendly however it can be a bit hectic and busy for them in the mornings so I ask those who do go to be patient with them. They're all lovely and kind people. They bake and sell a variety of bagels, as well as a small selection of pastries and cookies. Eggs and other grill items are cooked to order, plus a typical selection of cold cut sandwiches, salads, smoked salmon, and cream cheeses. The owner is very nice, and I'm all for supporting local mom & pop businesses. However, I ordered an onion bagel with jalapeno cream cheese ($3), and was not too impressed. My onion bagel was soft and bready, without much flavor, maybe OK for a sandwich, but not up to standing on its own. We live down the street from Babbas and eat there often for breakfast or lunch togo. The food is good and staff is friendly. My only complaint is when we get home we often realize the order is wrong or something is missing. The staff is quite friendly but they don't work efficiently. They need to have separate counters for pick up or each staff should have a designated task.
