It looks like a nice brunch spot inside. Foods were very breakfast focused, and they serve…read morebreakfast all day. - Chicken Milanese, (4/5): salad was acidic and refreshing, especially with the cherry tomatoes. they gave plenty of nicely fried chicken - the other thing was it was on the drier side. They did give 3 flattened chunks of chicken, and it was filling - Crispy Eggplant: friend got this dish and she was perfectly pleased by the tiny pasta. A good veggie option! Just a heads up, I was charged extra for my chicken Milanese on accident, so double check your receipt!

To their credit the food is quite good and the service is attentive and friendly without being overbearing. So why the 3 Stars? Simple. There are no healthy options on the breakfast menu. Sure there are things that can be construed as healthy like egg white omelets, etc but there's no oatmeal, no overnight oats, no yogurt, no granola... Well, I think you see the point. To 90% of the egg, potato, pancake eating public this probably isn't an issue but to me it is. Ordered lemon ricotta pancakes which were quite good with a massive portion sure to delight most people but again, no short stack options and I barely made it through 1/2 of it. All in all, if the aforementioned issues are unimportant to you, I'd give them a try. If, on the other hand, you're like me, I'd look elsewhere to start my day.

And I'll tell them it wasn't but-- But once, there was the Diner, and it was a small room giving off warm light and smells of satisfaction. And anyone could come, and everyone would be welcome, and you'd sit in the chairs (which were just comfortable enough to keep you there for lunch), and get an earful of everybody else's business, and smile at the waitress, and complain to the waitstaff about what fools everybody's becoming, and gulp down two and a half cups of piping hot coffee from a piping hot mug, and eat a bowl of soup and half of an egg salad sandwich, and finish it off with a slice of pie, and in these small, often dirty, slices of time and place-- just for a little while-- America truly was good. It was great, even.

The diner is inside a classic boxcar and not much has changed since opening - which is the way it should stay. The service was great and everyone was friendly and accommodating. We arrived around 12 PM on a Sunday and waited about 10 minutes for a table. They don't have high pairs but they have booster seats that worked just as well. We ordered Taylor, ham, egg, and cheese on a roll, two pancakes with scrambled eggs, and the front toast plate that came with eggs and sausage. Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a roll was standard and good. The French toast was tasty. The pancakes were very, very good. Definitely order these! The diner is no-frills. It's classic food served the original way. It really feels like an authentic New Jersey establishment and I love that it hasn't changed.

Me and my girlfriend went to this place at 4:15pm. It's a Thursday so they had live music at 6:00pm…read moreso we stayed. Mind you we have had 4 drinks total since 4pm. At 7pm the waiter cut us off. Very disappointed, I live walking distance and have been coming here for the last 3 weeks. I personally think it's insane to get cut off, I asked the waiter "was it a manager?" He said no it's his decision since he cleared 4 glasses off the table that had been sitting there since 5pm. If you want to enjoy yourself avoid this place. Update: The server was new. The manger came out and fixed the situation, I was very pleased with the outcome as I only wanted one more. We ordered the flat bread pizza and it was very good compared to most restaurants in summit. Obviously I was upset prior, but rightfully so. I will come here again and continue the review on this place. Thank you to the managers who were quick to respond and came to us right before we left. If visiting summit I would come here and try the short rib!

The liquors and wines do not offer a lot of too shelf options but a really decent, no fuss drink list. The food was good. Nothing was bad. The jersey tomatoes are good, but you get the sense immediately that you're at an upper end Applebees. Don't let that hold you back. The tomatoes are fresh and it's a good mix of flavors. I had the short ribs, which is really pot roast and mashed potatoes. Again, really good and comfort food but not really flooring me. The last thing, that I am sure is not normal, but as soon as I walked inside I got a smell of septic issues. It continued for 30 min or so, then I think they addressed it bc there was another word smell and then both went away. So overall good spot and reliable. Great service! Decent food for a change up, family meet up, or comfort food and a drink or two. Sit on the patio.
