Stopped here on my walk today and ordered a sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel. It was very tasty The cheese was very good The bagel was smaller than I've gotten in that other places but that wasn't a deal breaker. The seating is adequate and the tables were clean. You can walk up and order or you can call it in. Overall it was a nice experience if I'm close by I would stop in and eat but it's not a go-to destination in my opinion read more

Came in for a bagel today, I forgot to ask for it toasted and the lady didnt give me an option either. so clearly it went over our head. she already had cream cheese on it and i asked can it be toasted she said "no." i asked well can i get a bagel toasted? I would give this place a zero if I could. Maybe the breakfast stuff is better , but we got 2 burgers and a Cuban that weren't worth a second bite. The beef patties were the cheapest of the cheap with no flavor that made me think this meat had been in the freezer for a long time. One was just a cheese burger but the other was supposed to be a California burger. Not so much. It was just a dry cheese burger with pickles. The worst part was that they each cost almost $9!! I went to this bagel place ONCE! There will never be a second time especially considering what I paid and what I got. I walked into this place and first of all when you walk into any sort of establishment there should be some sort of lighting, it makes the customer feel welcomed not making them feel like they're not walking into some some abandoned joint. There were 2 ladies who looking like they were running shop and the one taking orders from customers was BEYOND rude! I said "hey, how are you?" And got a blank stare as if I was burdening her by wanting to give her my money. I ordered a Taylor ham, egg whites and provolone cheese with hot sauce. The order took close to 30 minutes to make. The lady behind the grill making my sandwich wasn't even wearing gloves. Like come on people it's 2019 and is cross contamination not a thing anymore? From grabbing bread, raw eggs, raw meats and god knows what else. So remember how I ordered egg whites? My next point. She opens a little rinky dink fridge and pulls out one of those egg white cartons you get at shoprite. But hey at this point I sat down on my phone to kill time. Eventually my sandwich was ready. But in the mean time I did keep looking up and the lady working behind the counter (the rude one) didn't bother to wear gloves either as she served customers bagels and pastries and whatever was on display. So now I'm home figuring I'll eat this considering I paid close to $10 for it. I open the sandwich and saw melted American cheese but not only that they didn't even bother putting any hot sauce on it or ketchup for that matter, on the taylor ham wasn't even cooked fully either. Like seriously?! Lady 1 writes my order down and hands Lady 2 the ticket. Lady 2 then reads my ticket and proceeds to butcher my order. I took a few bites and threw the rest out. The bagel was drier then the Sahara too! They definitely need to get it together here because Supreme Bagel is right down the road! Moral of the story: Don't eat here! I was pleased to see a local bagel place with tons of options on the menu from sandwiches, baked goods, sweets, pancakes, etc. I had a sesame bagel with egg and cheese. It took a few minutes to prepare which is a good sign that it's made fresh. I enjoyed my bagel very much! Unfortunately I did not see Charlene A.'s review where she mentioned that they don't prepare the food with gloves. Gasp! I didn't notice but if I do return, I'll make note of it in my review. First time here. Place is clean and welcoming. However, the staff isn't. The menu looks appealing and tasteful. Not a fan of bashing a local business - nice to see a family owned business near by. The only thing that sticks out here is the "no gloves". The younger girls who worked there did used gloves but the older women who cooked the food did not. It is nasty especially since I saw them put lox and tomatoes on someone's bagel without gloves. There were some positive and some negative reviews so I figured I would give it a try and form my own opinion based off of my experience. I went to Bagel City in Edison and was greeting with a warm welcome from two women behind the counter although I can tell they were busy they were very attentive to me. I order a everything bagel with lox, cream cheese, and tomatoes and onions and grabbed a large coffee for only $10.68 for me that was a great price considering I am often eating in the city where you are paying close to 20 dollars for that... After the first bite I knew I made a good choice and didn't let the negative reviews convince me not to try this place out both the bagel and coffee were AMAZING. I definitely plan on going back to this place and will recommend it to anyone of my friends that are in the area. Use your better judgement and give this place a try it was awesome. read more

I don't think the bagels are even made in house. They don't have that fresh hand rolled bagel taste real bagel places do. If you're in a rush it'll do. Bagels are comparable to Dunkin donuts. I use to go here a lot, but after today I definitely will not be back. The owner and her sister are fantastic. The food however is not good anymore. Today was a disaster. My husband wanted turkey sausage, or beef sausage. We were told that " they only sell pork products " They did however have turkey bacon. I ordered an egg and cheese on a toasted bagel with butter. The bagel was on the hard side and the cream cheese was of an odd taste. I wouldn't say bad but different then most. The most appalling thing about this place was the women that run it. Just as I walked in the door I was immediately met by two ignorant condescending women who were immediately judging me. She puts the bulging one back into the fridge and makes an ignorant stupid remark like well they are just going to throw the can out anyhow. I thought especially if it explodes in their face but kept my mouth shut.
