A fine place to grab a quick lunch and some interesting caffeinated drinks. I would skip the fruit smoothies though. They're advertised as a puree of real fruit but they buy a bottle from Giovani Chilla and somehow make a smoothie out of it. The smoothie was overwhelmingly sweet so not a fan. I also ordered an avocado toast which was fine not the best and a chicken salad which was really good. I also bought a an eden snack and that was a healthy choice option that was still tasty. The Coffee House has one of the best coffee shop atmospheres I have experienced. If you are a fan of rock music, you'll enjoy the music and decor. I also really appreciate how friendly the staff is here. On my visit, I tried the frozen iced cappuccino, which was a nice, sweetened coffee treat. They let you sample this item as well! The iced chai is also a great choice. I enjoyed the roasted turkey sandwich, paired with a pretty solid macaroni salad. Overall, this is one of my favorite coffee shops I have visited. read more

I walked in after reading about the shop somewhere and on a weekend where I didn't have plans for going out. I took a moment to search through their menu, ordered, and it was ready minutes later. Very standard. People working didn't seem very chatty but it was still comfortable enough where I had no problem asking about The Ice Cream House that had some signs in the shop. Turns out the same owner owns both shops and they are across the street from each other I got a Bulletproof latte which is advertised to have been made with Kerrygold butter and organic coconut oil. Now, I have tried mixing coconut oil in my home coffee before as it gives a slight taste or aroma to each sip but I can't really get the proportion correctly and I end up using a little too much oil. But this was balanced mixed blend. I do taste hints of butter and it makes the drink itself savory where its almost indulgent to keep sipping. The theme of the shop is sort of 1960s to 1980s music vibe with photos or posters of Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, or Pink Floyd. Hope your employees realize they deserve better treatment, too. I've been to The Coffee House so many times. I usually order the avocado toast with fried egg (over medium) and bacon. Last week, after I cut the toast, I noticed the white of the egg was not cooked -it dripped. I kindly brought it to the counter and advised the cashier. Her reply was "you already cut it!" I responded that it was the way I found out it wasn't cooked. Then she tells the cook "the egg is not cooked." The cook then asked "What do you want me to do?, Now I need to make the whole thing over?" Then he said "Just take it from her!" He remade it but this time the egg was over hard. I will not be returning as I was embarrassed at how they handled this simple situation. read more

Full bodied and great roasted flavor that didn't fall flat with milk (almond milk $0.50) Great espresso to milk ratio, just the right amount of sweetness and mocha flavor. Right on the Clara Barton district and walkable to the Middlesex Greenway. Private parking lot and a cute outdoor space as well. They do serve hot foods, pastries and other breakfast things as well. Interior is clean and well spaced. Gray/ black and red is their theme, I usually like a cozier feel to coffee shops but this is just a personal preference. Cute little shop in Edison. Came 30 before close on Monday night and staff was great. Lots of variety and very affordable. Waters are only $1 per bottle (needed to wash down the ice cream across the street) and with 7 plus a medium iced dirty chai latte it was only $13 and change before tip. Dirty chai latte had good flavor- not too heavy (ordered with skim milk, but offer various milk and alternative options). Will be back when in the area. Definitely recommend for a friendly stop- inside and outside seating offered. Cute decor and a jukebox. read more

Got very excited finding a coffee house in Edison that had such high ratings. The reality is a little bit different. Walking in it does not feel like a coffee place, instead, it's more of a bodega or a 7-Eleven imitation. The refrigerators in the middle of the place did not make it warm and inviting, the wrapped muffins and cellophane and boxed up cakes look like they've been on the counter for longer than they should. The coffee is perfectly fine but not appetizing given the first impression mentioned above. They should also take the pictures off of their menu as it looks more like a diner instead of a coffee place. read more

Searched hi and low for a coffee shop in Edison, thank you Yelp for pointing me in this direction. Parking lot in the back and tons of street parking, also met with cute outdoor games and lots of seating with shade. Inside, there's a lot of seating, more games, puzzles, writing pads, kept the little ones busy, loveeee that for us lol. Staff was friendly and quickly took our order. We found The Coffee House on Yelp during our upcoming trip to Edison for Christmas Con at the NJ Expo Center and ended up visiting twice. On our first trip, I got the their bacon egg and cheese sandwich on brioche and the seasonal White Chocolate peppermint latte. The brioche was warm and perfectly toasted to hold the bacon egg and cheese. It's one of the best versions of that sandwich I've had and it comes down to the bread. The white chocolate peppermint latte was not too sweet and had the right level of peppermint and holiday spirit. On my second trip, I tried their avocado toast with hard boiled eggs as they are known for it and the candy cane latte. I didn't realize the avocado toast had sesames seeds in the Ebb seeds and when it arrived to my table and I realized they offered to remake it for me. Once I received it and tried it, it was delicious. The avocado was creamy and flavored and the bread was perfectly toasted. The candy cane latte was another great holiday beverage. Each time we came, we were greeted warmly by staff who checked us out at the register and delivered our food. The prices were completely reasonable. If I lived in this neighborhood, I'd to visit this place all the time. read more

I came here to meet a friend on a Friday morning and fell in love with this place! I was so impressed by the menu - there's something for everybody on it. They make all coffee and espresso drinks and they have 20+ syrup flavors to choose from! I got an oat milk latte with 2 pumps of toffee nut syrup and it was insanely good. My friend got a cortado and she said it was great too. There's also a big food menu with breakfast and lunch items. This vibey old school coffee house is a great place to catch up with friends or do some work. They have lots of tables and seating on weekend afternoon. There was a mix of people taking business calls and working, families catching up, and people on dates. I got the London Fog and it was perfectly made, not too sweet. I also got a chewy chocolate chip cookie. They have a good amount of food & snack options and everything was fairly priced! They also had a couple of board games on the side. The servers were friendly and delivered my drink to my table. Parking: there's a parking lot right behind the coffee shop, it was pretty full when I arrived but there is also street parking. This is my first time at the place. I ordered avocado toast for $8.5. The most disappointing thing was that I added salmon that was nicely presented on the picture of large board. I payed +$5 extra for the salmon and it is more than half of the price of the whole sandwich. And I got a little of leftovers from salmon. I had no time and no will to argue. Went to the coffee house and it has a nice sitting area inside. Seems like a great place to study and get work done. Coffee wasn't bad. I'll start by saying this is a very cute establishment. But it's literally ran by children. Everyone behind the counter was under 18, all 5 of them. I called ahead and placed my order, I get here and 4 out of the 5 people all said I didn't take an order, until the 5th kid came up and said oh yea I took a call, and then proceeded to make my order; which was a bummer because I was pressed for time, hence why I called ahead in the first place. Dude at the register was apologetic and I took it on the chin , pause, but it was still a pretty big inconvenience. He was clearly in charge and pretty professional I must add; which somewhat softened the blow, pause. The toast itself kinda made up for the kids, although it needed salt, but I'd highly suggest an adult be available or present if the business owner does actually read this review. I'm on the fence if I'd return or suggest this business to others, kinda leaning towards no, to be honest, but we'll see. To the business owner, I'm not sure if you read the review but I said Jacob was apologetic AND pretty professional. Not sure what else you'd like me to say, even if he's in college he's still a kid to me. As for the 2 honor student seniors you mentioned, they're also children to me. When I came in, you have 5 employees doing nothing, and a total of 2 tables with 2-3 customers each, all of whom were already being served at that time. Seemed extremely slow if you ask me, no one sitting outside either for that matter. So we can go back and forth over the fact that I called ahead and Jacob still had to find who took my order, just for them to ask me what kind of bread I wanted before they toasted it in front of my eyes. Happy Wednesday Adventurers! This place has become one of my favorite spots to find a good cup of coffee. It's also a really cute place to sit people watch, sip a really delicious espresso drink, and just enjoy the ambiance of the place. I ordered the cold brew which was pretty good but my favorite was the cortado (I've been looking for a place that made them or cortaditos). I also wanted to try the food so I ordered the ham with swiss on multigrain. I will say the food's pretty good, pricey than most places but I suppose compared to Panera you can't really compare the quality. I LOVE that they have plants---that really makes the place a lot more homey. This place reminds me of a coffee shop in Watkins Glen and I adored it there. I recommend this place for a coffee date, networking meet up, or just to focus a little more on that unfinished manuscript. read more

You know those cute coffee shops you see on TV and in the movies? They are real and this is it! I do not have a single negative comment about this coffee shop, it has EVERYTHING. The barista's were extremely nice, and even brought you over your coffee when it was done being made. I even asked for water and they gave me a big cup with nice for free, it was great! We got a cheese cake and chocolate trilogy and both tasted great and went amazingly with the coffee. They have so many coffee and dessert options it was so hard to choose from! The atmosphere of the whole place was super chill and relaxed even though it was packed with people. It was super cozy, people were there on coffee dates, or studying, or just hanging out like I was. One of my favorite things was they have books lined on the window and on the coffee tables for you to read, and when you walk in there was a table full of board games you could play! (we played jenga as you could see lol) We finished our coffee and sweets and we're getting ready to leave when two men walked in with guitars! And of course we weren't going to leave after seeing that! We stayed for about 4 songs and it was outstanding! I was over the moon because I LOVE coffee and I adore cute coffee shops and this was by far the best one I have ever been to. I got the grilled chicken sandwich which was fantastic. It came on nice thick bread toasted just enough, a whole grilled chicken cutlet, lettuce, tomato, provolone, mustard and mayo. Bam, a perfect little lunch. They double checked to make sure that I wanted everything on my sandwich (I did) and which cheese. The team that was working there was super kind and friendly. I even met the owner Mike who was also very nice. I was able to leisurely eat my lunch and then set up camp at a table and just get work done. As for the food, the Mediterranean avocado toast was full of flavors and delightful. It's one of the best avocado toast made over multigrain bread, I've had in a while. The strawberry and banana waffle with fresh fruits was moist inside and crisp on the outside. Lastly, the baja sandwich was so cheesy and appetizing, we were left so full. Very traditional coffee house located in south Edison. Came here during the week and it was more of a study space with soft music playing in the background. The baristas were friendly and willing to give an honest opinion on which coffee to choose based on the customers order. They have a big food selection and it looked delicious based on the menu. We were waiting to be seated at Jose Tejas and it was going to take an hour to get a spot so we decided to kill time. We were driving around and found this amazing gem in Edison. It was during the peak of the pandemic and it broke my heart to see the place so empty, just like most of the local small businesses so I decided to get some stuff. THEY HAD HAZELNUT GELATO AVAILABLE! Of course that was going to be a no brainer for me and also they had some sort of red eye iced coffee, more like a frappe and it tasted amazing. I discovered this place by accident one day when searching for brunch and I'm glad that I did. They have a decent selection of coffee along with sandwiches and toasts to pair with. I ordered a few things- avocado toast, grilled chicken sandwich,croissant, mocha latte and oven baked ham. Everything that we ordered was super yum and the coffee was refreshing. The croissant was so soft and crispy that it just melted in my mouth. The sandwiches had that great flavor and everything felt fresh. The avocado toast is to die for and I'd recommend everybody to try that. This coffee establishment was a delightful change from your regulars.
