The simit is fresh, plentiful sesame seeds and smells incredible. So appetizing. Tastes so good. My white mocha expresso was to die for. Thank you for a wonderful service.

As a big fan of the grill next door, I was also happy to see this new little cafe open up. Serving traditional and modern desserts, this little coffee shop specializes in Turkish delicacies. I had a latte and my family got some assorted desserts and tea. Everything was very tasty. The cafe is very cozy with decent sitting and hangout areas. The staff speaks Turkish and they were very accommodating to us. Prices are pretty average. Only downside is parking but that is typical for New Brunswick.

A cute cafe right in New Brunswick downtown with ample seating. They have good selection of pastries and Mediterranean sweets. Iced latte was bit milky for my liking but got better after adding an extra shot. Will definitely visit it again.

Fantastic baked goods and coffee. The apple turnover was amazing and not too sweet. Will return :)

Very cute cafe to come in and study! The decor and aesthetic was comfy and warm! Friend ordered the tres leches, which I of course had to try, and the cake was very fresh and moist! Will be coming back for more study sessions! Highly recommend to anyone in the area who wants to come for coffee and grab a quick pastry to go along with it! Ordered: October 20, 2022 via Dining-In

    Such a cute sitting area!!!

If you need a place to study or have a coffee date come here! Absolutely beautiful cafe. Totally underrated. Attached to Efe's restaurant which I've never eaten at. Conveniently located on Easton in downtown New Brunswick. Across from the Rutgers fitness center. Side street has a parking garage and plenty of metered parking. Metered parking is free before 8. Delicious drip coffee. Strong enough to be a functioning coffee but not bitter. Delicious pastries. Reasonably priced. $3 for a large coffee and $3-$4 for a pastry. I had an almond apple pastry. Crumbly dry almond pastry (in a good way) filled with apple filling and topped with almonds and powdered sugar. Not overpowering or too sweet. Tons of pastries and cakes available. Some of the pastries aren't available right away when they open at 7am, croissants came out on a fresh baking sheet around 8:30. I bought a chocolate croissant, custard fruit tart and a small fruit cake to go, with 20% tip those 3 items were $19. Had some issues using the square reader at the register but the girl was super nice and let me eat my food first and then come back after eating to pay. Turkish candies by the register. Chai concentrate available for purchase. Oat & almond milk available for $.75. Beautiful spacious sitting area. The nice part is that the register/ordering area is in a separate room from the seating so you don't have to deal with people just coming in for coffee. Super cute modern design with a chic coffee shop / farmhouse flair.

Great study spot! Covid-19 has taken away a lot of my ideal cafe spots in new brunswick because of no indoor dining. However, Efes is still open! I only got a coffee, but the cafe workers were open to me staying there for 3 hours to get some work and studying done! They even had mugs available for those dining inside! Recommended study spot for their good wifi and seating! Go check it out!

As we were finishing up a meal at Efes Mediterranean Grill Restaurant: Waitress: Would you like any desserts? Me: No, thank you! We are going to visit your new cafe next door. Waitress: Wonderful! Enjoy! Efes Mediterrnean Grill happens to be my favorite place for Turkish cusine. This restaurant has one of the most stunningly, gorgeous decors and I always enjoy the food and staff here. So when we saw them building a new coffee & dessert place right next door to their restaurant during the pandemic, we were very excited. Upon entering, it is nice & bright and we were greeted with an enthusiastic hello. The other side of the cafe is where all the seating were and it is quite spacious. Looking at the drink menu, I was already excited as there were many choices. I ordered the Chai Latte and the flavor came through perfectly. Most of the drinks can be ordered hot or cold. My first experience with baklava was not good. A Yelper told me not to give up on finding a good one. The Walnut Baklava here is now my favorite. Not too sweet and you can taste the delicious walnuts. Another amazing dessert we got was the Profiterole Spoon Cake. I didn't understand why they called it that because it looked like chocolate pudding. But when you dig your spoon into it, the profiteroles are inside. So darn good! Get it!! They also sell packaged Turkish little treats on the counter.

It's a Cute Cafe. We got Cappuccino, Americano and Pistachio cake, tart. Coffee was very good. We enjoyed cakes also.

Great atmosphere to work/ study and Wifi is available. Close to Rutgers University and NJ Transit train station. I had the strawberry flavored ice coffee and Turkish bagel. Very tasty. Friendly staff!

My friends and I kept walking past this café never thinking of going in but glad we did! Super nice food, great selection of music (good volume too) playing and the prices are really good. I was just surprised that a tiny apple cookie was $1.75 but other than that certainly affordable. Turkish coffee is often unbearable at cafés but lovely here. I definitely recommend this place!

They have some unique pastries that a typical cafe wouldn't have. This is a perfect place to study and get some work done, all while enjoying a coffee and some pastries!

Very disappointing. We had gyros and lentil soup. Pretty sure they just added a bunch of water to the soup.

Meet Fresh is a Taiwanese dessert shop specializing in traditional Chinese-style sweet dessert…read moresoups--comforting bowls built around ingredients such as red beans, sago, grass jelly, purple rice, tofu pudding, and almond. These desserts are common across Taiwan and much of East Asia, where sweet soups serve the role that cakes or pastries might in the West: a warm or cooling treat at the end of a meal or as an afternoon snack. The brand itself originated in Taichung, Taiwan, where it began as a small family shop inspired by traditional dessert recipes passed down through generations. Today Meet Fresh has expanded internationally, but the menu remains rooted in those classic Taiwanese dessert traditions. The menu includes hot and cold dessert soups, along with bubble teas, specialty drinks, ice creams, shaved ice desserts, and egg waffles--served plain or with a variety of fillings. I stopped in for a bowl of their Combo A hot red bean soup, topped with taro balls, fragrant red beans, crunchy peanuts, and soft, chewy boba. I also ordered a hot almond milk. For those unfamiliar with it, red bean soup is one of the classic desserts of Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine. Made from adzuki beans simmered until soft, it has a naturally earthy sweetness that is comforting without being overly sugary. It's often served hot in cooler weather and chilled in summer. The bowl here was generous and piping hot, exactly what you want from a dessert soup. The sweetness was well balanced--sweet, but not cloying--and the toppings added layers of texture that kept each spoonful interesting. The taro balls are another Taiwanese specialty: chewy dumplings made from taro and sweet potato starch with a texture somewhere between mochi and gnocchi. These were nicely elastic and pleasantly chewy. The peanuts added crunch, while the boba pearls brought their familiar soft chew, making the bowl a fun mix of textures. The hot almond milk was fragrant and soothing. In Chinese dessert culture this type of almond drink is often made from apricot kernels (sometimes called "Chinese almonds"), which gives it a slightly different aroma than Western almond milk. This one was very tasty, though it leaned a bit sweeter than I personally prefer. Service was pleasant and efficient, and the shop has ample seating, making it easy to sit and enjoy your dessert rather than rushing out the door. For anyone curious about Taiwanese desserts--or simply looking for something beyond cakes and pastries--Meet Fresh offers a comforting introduction to a whole world of sweet soups, chewy toppings, and traditional dessert flavors. I would happily return to explore more of the menu.

Meet Fresh is an international chain serving up Taiwanese desserts- shaved iced and grass jelly…read moredesserts along with milk tea and waffle creations. I'd recommend creating a custom dessert for what I felt like is better value, and coming at an off-hour due to the difficulty of finding parking in the plaza. --- Meet Fresh has a wide variety of desserts available: -Pudding & Q Mochi Milk Shaved Ice (L)- I shared it between 4 people, and while it was a good size and I enjoyed the toppings, personally it felt too expensive for the amount of ice! I would be on the fence reordering this. -Signature Grass Jelly (hot)- This came with a side of peanuts. For the relatively expensive signature grass jelly dish, I was a bit disappointed at the ratio of grass jelly to toppings. I would pass next time. -Custom icy grass jelly with 5 toppings [sesame rice balls, taro ball, ice cream, sago, and Q mochi (taro mochi)]- This came with a side of creamer. I really enjoyed both the flavor and toppings in the custom icy grass jelly!! The ratio of toppings was better for sure, but it is a more expensive option. I'd probably still go for this option next time. The restaurant is more or less self-service. It is self-seating. You first order at the kiosk or counter, and then retrieve your order once your number is called. Later, you take your tray and clean up yourself. The interior can seat fairly large groups, maybe 20-40 people total depending on how you sit. One of the biggest obstacles to enjoying Meet Fresh is finding parking in the hectic and overcrowded parking lot. I'd find it hard to justify fighting to find parking for Meet Fresh until I had something else to also do in the plaza. Overall, our group had pretty mixed ratings, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd recommend coming when you're willing to splurge on a custom dessert creation.
