This cafe is located in an unsuspecting plaza but the inside is so cute and cozy. We have had this place on our list for a while and finally got around to trying it. What we ordered: - Strawberry Matcha Latte - Pandan Macaron We enjoyed both of our items. The service was interesting. I can't say that it's quite a negative or a positive. Since it was our first time there, we took some time to look at the menu and came with questions when we ordered. I saw that they have a matcha latte on the menu but nowhere did I see any specials or what syrups could be added to the matcha. Because of this, I asked the person checking us out if they had any syrups and if they could be added to the drinks. He listed off the syrups (vanilla, hazelnut, etc) and also included a "strawberry puree" in the list. So I considered that and said I would order it with the strawberry puree. The woman who was making the drinks beside him then said something along the lines of "so you're ordering a strawberry matcha latte". Like I was suppose to know that and order that way. I responded "yeah, I guess so but is that on the menu because I don't see it". Then she confirmed it's not on the menu. I didn't know if it would cost more or if it wasn't suppose to be included as a syrup or if she was training him. It was just an odd interaction rubbed me the wrong way though and left an uncomfortable feeling for me. We were going to enjoy our stuff there but after that we decided to take it to go. I'm not sure if I will return as it is not a local spot for us and we made a special visit out there to try it. My drink was good and the macaron was also yummy. I would recommend it regardless because their stuff is good and my interaction could just be a one off. read more

One of my favorite little pleasures is finding new cafes, grabbing a latte and a sweet and enjoying the space for as long as I can. And since most of my work is remote, I get to find and try a lot of really wonderful cafes. Eminato popped up on Yelp while hunting for a coffee shop in the are and since then, I've been back a few times for the simple, clean & airy atmosphere as well as the good coffee. They are located in a strip mall, right next to a CVS, so parking is plentiful and easy. There were plenty of tables (about 8 or so) & strong wifi, so if you also plan to whip out your laptop and get work done, this is a good choice. There was even a table or two outside.The baristas were all super friendly and quick to bring out your order or clean a table. And the coffee! Lattes have always been good and, while I wish they were served hotter, they are for sure something I will be back to order again. In addition to coffees, they also have a big tea and boba menu. I came here today because the reviews were very high and their instagram featured some pretty good looking drinks! When i got there, it was a very small selection of baked goods, which was slightly disappointing. The guy that worked there took my order, I asked what kind of syrup flavors they had and he said "the normal ones" ... I go to a lot of coffee shops & most have at least 7 flavors, but he named caramel, vanilla, a floral one, and mocha. I was expecting a little more variety so 2/5. The latte itself isn't very sweet but it is very good. The latte is pretty strong. I got a cinnamon roll and got it warmed up and it was delish! They have a decent amount of seating imo. Eminato is a unique business for central Jersey. Eminato is tucked away in Hillsborough and is worth the trip from neighboring towns for great selections, friendly staff and a cheery atmosphere. Eminato's drink selections are always on point, from their bubble tea to their coffee/lattes. My personal favorites are the Amber Latte (which comes in a black bubble tea variety and a latte version- I always get it with boba), the thai tea latte and their fall seasonal specials (pumpkin candy latte & autumn fusion latte). Each drink has a rich flavor and is not too sweet. If you have a sweet tooth, I recommend their selection of macarons (straight from New York City). I have tried Eminato's raspberry macaron and the candy apple macaron. Both were incredibly fresh and flavorful! Each time I come to Eminato I am greeted by their friendly staff. Owners Orest and Sophia always make sure the atmosphere is inviting and the space is decorative and clean. My experience is consistently enhanced by the hospitable service provided by Gianna, Jasmine and Zoe behind the counter! I tried eminato for the first time during Hillsborough's Restaurant Week, because the baklava matcha weekly special sounded so delicious. The description stated it was their 'premium matcha, sweetened with honey, poured over smooth oat milk and crowned with pistachio cold foam', and it was exactly as described (without the honey making it too sweet which is what I was concerned about). You can tell it's made with premium matcha, and the hint of pistachio really complimented the drink. This cute cafe is tucked away in a small strip mall in Hillsborough. I was looking for a cafe since I was shopping in the area and came across eminato. I ordered ahead and got myself a Strawberry Matcha and it was made within 5 minutes! Thankfully it was waiting for me when I got there. I really liked the drink, I'm a sucker for warm matcha drinks. However i did have an energy crash a few hours later, so maybe the coffee beans they use and i don't necessarily match. food: i got the almond croissant and turkey/provolone croissant sandwich, and both were okay. i think they source this from another bakery or something (from previous reviewers) - but the inner filling of the almond was crumbly and not as smooth as i would've liked. the turkey/provolone was pretty good, had hints of honey mustard that i enjoyed. maybe adding more veggies would have made it a solid sandwich! read more

I've only been here a couple times so I can't speak for much just yet, but their Blue Lavender Latte and Matcha Green Tea Latte are delicious. The Matcha Latte isn't too bitter or too sweet, and the Blue Lavender Latte is a perfect combination of nutty, floral, and coffee flavors. This isn't too important, but I also like that the lattes aren't served too hot because I'm able to come here in the morning before work and drink it as soon as it's served. stopped by cafe brio to get some work done in the early afternoon on a weekday. my friend and i got cafe au lait and a black sesame bubble tea, respectively. both came out really fast and were decently priced. the cafe au lait was pretty good. the bubble tea was decent, it was a little too milky for my tastes and didn't have any tea in it. they did put a lot of black sesame powder though which was great. overall ambiance of the cafe was great, not super crowded but definitely lively. the wifi was fast and the chairs were really comfortable! actually really liked the chairs! read more

Excellent breakfast! Stopped by on a recent road trip, and wanted a warm breakfast and a cozy place to enjoy our meal, and Brio fit the bill! Yummy croissant sandwich with ham, cheese and maple mustard, warmed in the microwave. Also had a breakfast frittata and masala spiced hot chai latte. This is a special and quaint coffee shop in the area. They serve so many types of coffees, and even smoothies (max challenge anyone?). Their food selection is a range as well - I wasn't early enough to indulge but they do serve simple lunch items and baked goods which will be great for a snack or mid-day lunch, or on the way to work! As far as interior goes; I think it's so wonderful they have local artists displayed on the walls. They're crafted so that they highlight the profile of every artist. It's incredibly clean too so it's a nice break from a not-so-clean Starbucks you might enter. I must mention the chairs there are really comfortable, I like that it's not so couch/big chair type of place where you don't get too comfortable, just comfortable enough to enjoy a drink with someone at a table. I saw several people walking in near closing on a Sunday and the store kept open for awhile tending the customers needs. The owners here are incredibly humble and treat customers with care. Very nice place to sit, slow down, meet a friend and talk for hours, or also just take to go. A coffee flavor/type of the day is on the board. You can tell the owners take pride in the learning to appreciate coffee by providing the "flavor notes" and destination of origin. Lattes can be made with your choice of milk or sweetness (added honey to my matcha latte) to your taste. Bubble tea and flavored iced tea here is also solid. Bobas/bubbles are made fresh daily and are not tasteless gummies like some other places. I can drink the mango iced tea with popping boba all day everyday. They also added protein smoothies. Perfect addition if you are a The MAX gym member ;) Food selection is limited to pastries, muffins, danishes, empanadas, and quiches. All very good but that's it. The focus here is the coffee and teas. Cozy place tucked in the Hillsborough CVS shopping center. Very clean, and inviting for you to stay in a while since they serve you in real mugs if you decide to stay, lots of tables and power outlets for you to study or get work done. My daughter was searching through yelp and found this spot. It was a rainy day and we didn't have much to do so we got in the car and drove here from Bridgewater. I was slightly disappointed there was really nothing displayed in the glass as far as food. The menu although is your typical cafe menu we went specifically for Bubble Tea. I paid $11 for two not so big bubble teas which was pricy considering I could have gotten a bigger one else where. I ordered a Matcha and my daughter a Thai iced tea one. Cafe Brio is a nice, somewhat hidden, coffee shop. It has a cozy vibe with a seating area for around 20. The menu is interesting from pastries to a wide range of beverages. They have the normal espresso drinks with a few novel options, as well as a bubble tea menu. The prices are higher than Starbucks, but when you see the care and precision involved in making your espresso drink, you will know your money is well spent! read more
