A welcoming modern coffee spot. There's various seating options to choose from, it seems like a great spot to get some work or studying done. There's a selection of pastries. I have returned multiple times for the iced tiramisu latte. Highly recommend!
I absolutely love Chapter 2 Coffee, and honestly, I'm surprised I haven't left a review until now! It probably just escaped me because I finish my coffee or matcha in seconds every time I visit. The space itself is so warm, clean, and welcoming. There are a couple of tables up front near some fun merch and stickers, but if you want to sit down and work for a bit, they have a ton of space in the back with comfy couches and tables. Their menu is to die for! My absolute favorite is the Mango Matcha, it is creamy, refreshing, and has the perfect amount of sweetness. I also love trying their seasonal drinks; lately, I've been obsessed with their Coconut Ube Matcha and honestly wish I could drink it all year round. If you're a coffee lover, I highly recommend the Banana Brûlée Latte, which features a perfect roasted caramel flavor profile with a hint of banana without being overly sweet. They also carry a great selection of pastries and small bites, like sandwiches and toasts. The staff is always incredibly kind and friendly, and I love that they host community events, it's the perfect place to break out of your daily routine.
Cute spot for remote work, plus super friendly staff! Plenty of parking and seating too. Tried the Coastal Matcha with whole milk--super earthy and rich with the prettiest gradient. Then, they were kind enough to let me try the new Cookies N Cream Latte! Not overwhelming sweet but still very rich with cookie crumbles on top. I'll have to come back and try the Tiramisu plus food items!
The cheddar and scallion scone was so delicious and I was able to get it heated up. I got the cookies and cream latte with almond milk and it was delicious. It was recommended as a seasonal item so I definitely had to try it. The was so sweet and kind and really made me feel welcome. I went in the early afternoon so it wasn't too crowded. They have a few tables in the back and cozy spaces is to do work.
Chapter 2 Coffee in Piscataway is a great little spot that gets the basics right. I ordered a latte and was seriously impressed--smooth, rich espresso with perfectly textured milk and a clean, balanced finish. You can tell there's real attention to detail here. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, making it an easy place to stop in and unwind. Simple, well-executed coffee done right. Definitely worth checking out.
environment 10/10: i love the variety of seating. there are some sitting areas and also a bar chair area where you can stand while you study and also a couch area as well. the decor is amazing overall and it feels cozy. parking 10/10: parking lot. menu 8/10: the menu was a simple brunch cafe menu and they had a variety of pastries but they were very limited so if you come later in the day, there may not be much available. their drinks were like a good 7/10 just because I couldn't really taste the tiramisu from my latte and the cocoa powder just clumped up and was kinda weird to drink. the banana bread latte also didn't really taste as deep and rich as it should have (i've made banana bread syrup before). price: $$

Unique options like the Dubai Chocolate and the Banana Cold Brew are both rich, refreshing, and crafted with care. The atmosphere is just right for any mood whether you want to sit back and relax, dive into a good book, catch up on emails, or study for a while. It's cozy yet open, with seating that makes you want to linger.
You know what my biggest pet-peeve is when I get flavored lattes? When I can't taste the flavor(s) I ordered. After having my first peanut butter latte in Tucson that blew me away I was super excited to see a PB Banana latte here at Chapter 2. Unfortunately, the peanut butter was subtle and I think they forgot the ripe banana because I couldn't detect any. The espresso came through nicely though. We also got their almond crossiant. The cashier asked if I wanted it warmed up and I said yes. We waited and waited and by the time we were halfway done sipping our coffee, I had to go up to ask about it. The young girl actually gave me a straight face and acted like they didn't forget and when they served it to us it was not heated up. At that point I'm like why bother asking again. All-in-all it was okay. They do have a very exciting menu with interesting flavor combo lattes. Maybe I ordered the wrong drink? Probably won't return since I was not wowed on this first visit. Onto Chapter 3 of my coffee adventures...
Very chic and elegant coffee shop. If you're looking for a place with great coffee and great seating, this is a place to be! First thing I noticed when coming into the coffee shop was the amount of people that were sitting and working. It is definitely a hub for people to sit and relax or study while getting a drink. I tried their tiramisu latte, which I highly recommend. Creamy, sweet, and bold, the tiramisu latte is one of the best that I've had! They are also known for their Matcha, which I can't wait to come back and try. There was plenty of seating in the front of the café back of the café as well as outside. The staff was very sweet and very nice, helpful with different recommendations of what's currently popular on their menu.
I came here initially for a Yelp event, but had to come back on my own time. The environment is just as cozy and comfy, and the service was fast and friendly. My friend got the Passionfruit refresher, and I got the Mango Matcha this time around. The Mango matcha sounded super unique so I had to try it! The flavors actually go so well with each other and it was not too sweet. My new go to study spot! :^)

What a nice find! I'm having fun discovering coffee shops in this area since my kid goes to school nearby. I really enjoyed their tiramisu latte and hummus toast- service was great and the space was cozy.
I was introduced to Chapter 2 Coffee Roasters through a Yelp Elite Experience and a Yelp Elite Event and I've been hooked ever since. The downside is that I don't live closer. However, when work brought me in their direction recently, I had to pay a visit to get one of my favorite drinks: their signature Ube Coconut Matcha. Chapter 2 Coffee Roasters isn't very far from the Rutgers campus, so don't be surprised if the place is packed with college kids if you visit on a weekday. Nevertheless, Chapter 2 Coffee Roasters will keep you coming back with their delicious drinks, friendly service, and welcoming environment. During my most recent visit, I've experienced all of the above. I like how the staff will actually strike up a conversation with you sometimes. If you're in the area, go check them out! read more

Honestly didn't know how I was going to feel about the tiramisu latte but my bf got it and it was so delicious. We got a second one to go it was that good. The wait can be a little bit when it gets busy but it was definitely worth the wait. read more

Pretty solid spot in Piscataway. They carry Balthazar pastries- sweet and savory. Service is friendly and efficient, the baristas were very helpful! Interior is modern, clean and pretty much quiet, just quiet murmurings and chatting when I went to pick up a cup. I tried the iced tiramisu latte and it was good. Coffee to milk/tiramisu flavor ratio was missing a bit of the espresso, I would've preferred a stronger espresso taste, but I would go back to try more of their drinks since they are fairly new to the area. Parking lot, credit cards, clean restroom. Would recommend! read more

So glad they finally opened! I've been to their coffee truck a few times at various events. They're always friendly and we always get a bag of beans to take home. The truck never had espresso based hot drinks, though. Their new space has an industrial vibe, with warm touches. I wish there was more natural light but their establishment extends back, so no windows back there. We ordered a seasonal danish, which was cream filled with sliced strawberries. It was just okay, nothing special. We also got a flat white with oat milk and a latte with oat milk, to stay. Though they had mugs and despite asking for it to stay, everything still came in one time use disposable cups and bags. Maybe they just didn't want to deal with washing up? Both the latte and the flat whites were much too foamy, and not that silky creamy mouth feel you'd want. They still tasted good though. read more

Saw this place on the way to an appointment in the same complex. So I stopped by after for a latte. I got a hot matcha latte. I am new to matcha so wasn't too sure what to expect. I really did enjoy it, creamy and light at the same time. The matcha was mixed well. I feel like I chugged it because I enjoyed it so much. They have a wide variety so I'll deff be back to try other coffees and their baked goods. Loved the atmosphere. I would definitely take my laptop here to do some work or meet a friend to chitchat. Wow! Nothing bad to say about this place. I was around the area & wanted to see if they had the matcha cloud and they did. I was super excited to try this place & their drinks. The coconut matcha cloud was so perfect, the girl who made it was so excited to even make it. I told her it looked so perfect. The taste was so rich & I loved it! I also ordered a tiramisu latte, another drink that was so flavorful & perfect. They put so much effort to make these drinks & I love that. Drinks were 10/10. Ambiance was very quiet & the place was nice, you can sit there & do your work as well. Service was amazing they greeted me as soon as I walked in & they were patient to take my order. Stepped into Chapter 2 Coffee Roasters this past Saturday morning, and it was the ideal way to kick off the weekend! The space is clean, minimalist decor, seating in front and back of the coffee bar. The vibe was buzzing but still relaxed, with that wonderful aroma of freshly roasted beans filling the air. We started with a classic latte, and it was absolute perfection - creamy, well-balanced, and with a rich espresso flavor that wasn't overwhelmed by the milk. We also ordered their cold brew, and It was incredibly smooth, low in acidity, and had a delicious, refreshing taste that was perfect for sipping on a warm morning.Beyond the excellent coffee, the staff was friendly and efficient, making the whole experience even better. Stumbled upon this place while searching for local coffee shops in my area. They have a lot of flavors and can custom flavor cold foam as well! They also have ample space inside if you want to sit and chat with friend or do some work on your laptop. I got a salted maple honey cold brew with salted maple cold foam. I went here for the Yelp experience and I now adopt it as my new cafe. The experience was great. They are so welcoming. I loved the aesthetics and all the work/lounging areas. There is some seating outside and plenty of parking. They have a good menu and affordable. I loved that they converse with the customers. That just showed me they get to know their customers. I had the strawberry matcha (a matcha lover of course) and my daughter had an ice latte both drinks were delicious. Ironically a couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of trying the lavender lemonade while they were at the Metuchen market didn't realize it was the same establishment until today. and that was good as well. I came in on Monday to work from here and the ambiance was so great-- it's cool and modern, with some good seating and even a small enclosed area to take calls in. I ended up ordering the iced Dubai chocolate latte which was delicious even as I nursed it for a few hours. The barista that took my order was really sweet and we chatted for a while. Such a cute and cozy spot with a chill atmosphere. Perfect for catching up, studying, or just slowing down for a bit. We popped in for drinks and loved the warm, welcoming interior. I got the Tiramisu Latte which comes with tiramisu foam. It sounded amazing, but I couldn't really taste the tiramisu part. The coffee itself was solid though--smooth and well-balanced. My boyfriend tried the Spooky Special Latte (black sesame with ube cold foam). It was creative and looked fun, but same issue--the black sesame flavor didn't really come through, even though the sesame seeds were definitely there. We ordered online so we didn't really get to interact with anyone. I was waiting for a bit though cause we didn't see where the pick up spot was(which was my fault) but someone was right in front of me, didn't even acknowledge my presence lol. the cozy vibe makes me want to come back to try other drinks or maybe a pastry(if they have one) next time. Overall, worth checking out if you're in the area and like a calm coffee shop with personality. : Would definitely return just for the aesthetic alone. A hidden gem with potential. read more

I stopped by Chapter 2 Coffee Roasters for a matcha and interior looked like the perfect place to get work done or meet up with someone. There is some seating in the front and a lot more available seating in the back of the café. I ordered the strawberry matcha, which was pretty good, but it comes with strawberry cold foam whereas I prefer the strawberry on the bottom of the matcha. Overall, Chapter 2 Coffee Roasters is a cute spot in Piscataway so I would recommend visiting if you're in the area! read more

I absolutely loved this place! It's a perfect spot to chill, read, or get some work done. The staff is super friendly. Coffee is incredible. My favourite is Tiramisu Latte, it's rich, smooth, and just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the espresso. Easily one of the best specialty lattes I've had in a while!! I also picked up a coffee bag to brew at home (posting a photo of the cup I made). The beans are freshly roasted and has a very rich aroma! In the back, there's a roasting room where I got to watch them roast the beans, it was cool to see behind the scenes that adds to the experience. read more
