We stopped here unexpectedly when seeing it after eating at the pizzeria next door. There is a tent outside the front door of the restaurant where you could sit outside at a bench if you like. We had parked at the metered parking lot across the street, so we needed to put another quarter in to stay and have dessert here. It's a Portugese / Brazilian restaurant & bakery. We were shocked to see that it opens at 4:40 in the morning! There were several breakfast dishes on the menu. They also had sandwiches, empanadas, and most importantly desserts ! I was excited to see they had chocolate flan ! Omg this was sooooo good. It had chocolate sprinkles on top AND they drizzled chocolate sauce over it. It was so creamy and decadent. I highly recommend this for chocolate lovers. My husband and his brother split a piece of cake. To me, it slightly tasted like sweet cornbread with chocolate icing. To go for the next morning, I took home one of their dulce de leche donuts. Omg this is so good. The donut is not as sweet as an American donut, it's more sweet bread-like. It was absolutely filled with dulce de leche caramel and topped with powdered sugar. The guy that waited on us was very friendly and I think he was amused at my excitement finding all these goodies there. The inside of the restaurant is very casual with several small tables. This place was fairly popular as folks kept walking in and ordering. This is definitely worth the stop here for their baked goods. read more

Came here because it's such a short walk from my apartment and heard it had great pastries. Don't listen to the reviews that say they weren't helpful if you don't speak Portuguese. The woman helped us today and answered any questions we had. The Portuguese egg tart was light, crispy and had a amazing sweetness to it. The dulce de leche donut was massive!!! It had so much caramel I could barely eat half. The espresso was a perfect touch to end the light snack. They have a large variety of other pastries and lunch specials as well. read more

Stupid good. I just learned about this place while searching for Kibis (Yucatan Mexico street food). Cirino's kibi equivalents are good, but not quite the same as what we were looking for. My wife and I enjoyed the Pork and onions, Quibe, and an empanada. The food was on point. Incredibly flavorful and delicious. But hold on, this is a bakery. First off the coffee is off the charts awesome. I would consider stopping here just for the coffee. The bakery items have to be illegal they are so good and rich. We had a dolce de leche donut which immediately put me into a sugar overdose and food coma. I will not be able to drive through South River without picking one up for me and my wife. I also got their chocolate cake; however, I was too full to taste. I am saving it for later. I am giddy like a school girl. Cafe Cirino I will be back soon. read more

Cafe Cirino is great, get to sit outside and enjoy a good cup of coffee. Everything I've tried off the menu of breads, pastries and food has been good. Anything you order, if they haven't run out of it yet, is fresh. Everyone there is super friendly, even the fellow patrons who greet you with a "bom dia" as you walk past them. read more

Ordered to go/no dining at this time during pandemic: iced coffee (very good), Portuguese egg tart (the inside of the egg tarts were runny, not sure if fully cooked & chewy from the bottom), banana cake, croissants (huge & good), orange flat muffin, fried cheese stuffed & chicken & cheese stuffed empanada like things. Recommend everything except the egg tarts. Items are displayed in the glass display case with no prices, names or descriptions. Staff was kind enough to answer questions & describe the items. So, I've been meaning to order from this restaurant for the longest time. I love South American cuisine, esp. Peruvian, Brazilian and Argentinian fare. After trying Cafe Cirino's food today, I realize I have seriously been sleeping on this place. I did a big order so my family could sample multiple items. Everything was absolutely delicious. And the portions for the price! The empanadas are the size of a big tortilla cut in half. So glad I didn't order the large chicken empanada because it would probably be bigger than my plates! The pig in a blanket is the size of a corndog. The risoles, croquettes, and coxinhas are bigger than any I've tried in the past. Everything is well-seasoned and fresh. And I ordered via delivery, and yet the fried items were still crispy upon arrival because of how they packaged the food. Their corn mousse is the freaking truth! I want to try more of their sweet treats and that chocolate flan on another visit. Thank you Cirino! I will be a repeat customer! read more

Customer service and especially the owners are extremely rude and disrespectful. I have never experienced an owner be that rude and use excuses for not picking up the phone. There's way better options for Brazilian food. read more

Food is great! Absolutely love their coixinhas, cheese bread,and delicious pastries. Their espresso and cappuccino were marvelous! Place can be way too busy, way to tight ,and so crowded to the point of being uncomfortable but the food is good! No street parking only metered parking! read more
