The servers are very friendly and kind. I observed one server giving a couple suggestions for popular dishes. We got fresh squeezed orange juice and a Greek coffee double. I loved the fresh orange juice and how refreshing it was. There is outdoor and indoor seating and the lighting inside is really calming and inviting. The beef gyro and fig omelet were light, yet filling and made with very fresh ingredients. I would get both dishes again. They also have many pastries as well as other gourmet foods that can be purchased. A popular spot but not super packed on a Saturday afternoon. read more

Ellinikon is a cute Greek market and coffee shop. My cousin and I stopped in for coffee. It was pretty busy on a Monday afternoon but we were able to find a two top inside. They have a nice sized patio out front, however most people were sitting inside. I ordered an Iced Caprice Cookie Butter Latte with Oat Milk. After I paid, the cashier handed me a mini bottle of water and informed me that all coffee purchases come with a free bottle of water. How nice! The latte was really good, but very sweet! It tasted better once it was stirred and I enjoyed the cinnamon stick that topped it. The market had an assortment of items like pastries, sandwiches, herbs, spices, olive oil, vinegar, and snacks. The pastries looked wonderful and I probably would have purchased one if we hadn't already eaten lunch. I love Greek food and would be here all the time if I lived in the area. read more

Ellinikon is a hot spot in town. They moved from a smaller location to this bigger space and really amped it up. Beautiful patio with outdoor seating. Dog friendly patio with water bowls. Interior is all decked out with Christmas decorations. They offer a full drink menu in the European style. There is a pastry case and quick food menu. I had the turkey croissant and it was perfect. The pistachio latte is on their seasonal menu and it's so cute. read more

This place is a hidden gem nestled in Highland Park which offers delicious and authentic Greek pastries and desserts which can be paired with a coffee. And, there's a market located inside of the shop to purchase products directly from Greece! I was greeted the moment I walked in and the service was superb - I felt so welcomed (as if I stepped foot into someone's home). This place is great. Super cool coffee shop/diner ambience inside, and they have actually good vegan pastries. As someone who can't eat dairy and desperately misses flaky pastries, the vegan leek pastry really hit the spot. I tried a pistachio latte as well and it was so pretty and tasty. I would come back here again and again just for their Pistachio Baklava. I don't know where they get their honey that was drizzled and incorporated into the baklava but Oooooh myyyyy goodness, I couldn't stop raving about it with every bite. It's flaky, filled with tons of pistachios, not overly sweet, AND THAT HONEY!!!! It was all about that honey for me. There are many other wonderful yummy pastries (sweet & savory) on display as well. I have my eye on a few for next time. All the drinks we ordered were crafted perfectly. My son loved his pistachio mocha latte, said he could taste the pistachio. I loved my hot Coconut Matcha. I'll probably go down their entire drink menu one by one in my future visits. We were also enjoying the Fleetwood Mac tracks that were playing inside the shop. Lots of seating inside and out. Love this coffee shop! They have parking which is a huge perk especially being so close to New Brunswick! Their coffee is super strong and there's tons of space inside if you want to work from the restaurant. I had an iced latte and didn't order any food but will be returning to try some. The staff is also super friendly and will recommend things if you're debating on what to get. Great cafe/market located minutes from Rutgers NB/Piscataway. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and had such a wonderful experience. This place is bigger than I expected with a cozy dinning area, and a beautiful greek marketplace with a few more seating options. The cafe had a bunch of options to choose from to eat from greek salads and sandwiches to pastries... I wound up ordering the Lemon and Hibiscus Iced Tea with a croissant. The croissant was so good! One of the best I've ever had. It was so buttery and chewy just the way I like it, but it wasn't too flaky leaving crumbs everywhere. The Hibiscus tea came unsweetened but was very refreshing. There was also a counter with sugar where I assume you could sweeten the tea but it was really good on its own. After hours of getting work done I decided to take home more pastries, ordering the Baclava and Feta Pie with honey which were so delicious. The service here is wonderful ! Peter was very helpful giving me tips on how best to eat the Feta Pie. He also informed me this was a family owned business, which I loved. This made my experience even better. If you're working from or just want to visit a beautiful cafe. You should definitely give this place a try. read more

So I'm visiting for Thanksgiving and randomly driving around and see the name. Recognized from some Yelp recon earlier in the week and was happy to stop in. Boy am I glad I did! The crisp weather was the only reminder I wasn't back in Greece. The spanakopita and Greek coffee really nailed it. It was rich, flaky pie dough, unlike most versions we have in the US. The baristas gentle accent brought a smile that this was Greek, delivered by true Greeks! Very tasty food at this neighborhood cafe. Today we tried one of the salads and a gyro. You order at the counter and they buzz you when the food is ready. Wr have tried various sandwiches and salads in the past. Their baked goods are wonderful too. Variations of baklava and other sweets too. The breads are nice and crusty. There are numerous Greek products available to purchase at the store. The food is a 5 but I cannot give a 5 rating to any restaurant where you order at a counter and buss your own table. read more

This is one of the best spots to come and get some fresh feta or Greek confections. I will stop and hear from time to time just to get some baklava or whatever else they have in their case. You can buy things by the piece so only get one if you want to try it or get a container is full which is really nice. They have a good selection of olives in the back. And their cheese selection I think is pretty good considering their stocking Greek cheeses only. They also have a nice espresso machine where you can get some coffee, and there are a few tables outside and some bar seating inside. The total number of seats inside and outside may be around 8. So you're really not stopping here for more than a coffee and a snack. I've only ever seen the same guy or woman working behind the counter they're both very nice that both given recommendations to me, and they were both things I was happy with when I got home. I'm really happy that this place is in town, even happier that if I wanted to I could walk here. And if you needed some Greek themed items I would definitely stop in to check it out as they may have what you need. read more

I saw this Greek Cafe on Too Good to Go, and I was excited to see what I'd get in my package! When I got there, I was shocked by how big the Cafe was! One side was a coffee cafe and the other was the bakery and store. They had a lot of items from Greece, and I was really tempted to buy some olive oil and snacks. They had a great variety of pastries too, everything was unique. When I was picking up my Too Good to Go, I was a bit disappointed with what I got in the bag. I had gotten 2 chocolate croissant and an almond croissant. I was hoping I would've gotten something a bit more unique like their mango or apple donuts, or their baklava. Maybe next time I'll get lucky. I do think their Too Good to Go is worth it though as I paid $4.99 for 3 pastries, and when I was looking at the prices there, $4.99 was the price for one croissant! The service was really quick, the people who were working there didn't really talk to me but it was convenient being in and out. I'd come back again to see everything they have at the store in more detail, and maybe I'd buy something! read more

The best orange juice on this side of the Atlantic, along with a lot of other goodies. It's a split situation, half boutique and half sit down cafe, but I liked choosing some high quality olive oil and cookies while waiting for food/drinks. Went to this lovely little gem for a quick coffee and bite to eat after work. The market has traditional Greek goods such as coffee, tea, sauces, olives, pasta - you name it! The cafe is set up beautifully with a wide variety of delicious treats. I was looking to try the spanakopita but they were sold out for the day, so I ended up with the spinach and feta phillo which was absolutely delicious.
