College town joint with not much of an atmosphere. They make really good sandwiches and some are creative. They also offer a combo with a drink, half a sandwich, and a soup for a reasonable price. Everything is made to order and it can be slow but worth it nonetheless.

I ordered the drunken parm chicken sandwich.... I didn't taste the vodka sauce they say they put on it BUT, it was delicious! The bread was perfect! It was soft & yummy! & it was garlic bread! The chicken was cooked perfectly, not too breaded & perfectly cooked. I ordered it on door dash & the fries were still warm!!!!!!!!! (& DELICIOUS) The chicken sandwich was warm as well. I am SO happy with my first experience eating at this establishment & I recommend them ! I'm excited to try their tea & the eggplant parm!!!!!! I'll be back!

We ordered from the special New Brunswick restaurant weeks menu: one appetizer, two sandwiches, two drinks, and one dessert bar for $35. The restaurant isn't fancy; it's basically a sandwich shop. You order at the counter, they bring you the food, and you clean up your table once you're done! We had zucchini trio with pesto sauce, grilled cheese, bbq pulled pork sandwich, lemonade, a bottle of water, and a magic bar for $36.50 before tips. The pulled pork sandwich was great but messy as Cole slaw was service on top of the pork. It's like eating sloppy Joe. But it was very delicious. We couldn't finish all the food; took the magic bar home for later.

Loved this place! It's got a charm to it. We felt like we found a treasure in the mist of New Brunswick. Staff is very hospitable and friendly. They were happy at the end of the day. The display counters were full with yummy looking bakery goods. The board behind the counter described specials for the day. They having inside seating which is very nice. It s not a big place but it has a big heart. It's like a comfortable place that makes time stand still. I would definitely go back for breakfast then for tea then for coffee . I will work on being a regular!!

Really delicious food! Loved both the sandwiches and it is a really great breakfast place! Coffee was also good and service is fast! A very cute sit down that feels intimate! Outdoors seating available when the weather is nicer but they also have a very cute takeout window. Small though so can get packed!

Met a friend here for breakfast. It was just alright. Not great. I was excited to try a homemade pop tart but they were out. Living on the west coast for 10 years now, I was eager to have pork roll, egg, and cheese and this one was fine but not great, particularly because the bread didn't taste fresh. The "honey vanilla" yogurt tasted plain. There is no table service, you order at a counter and go pick it up. The ambiance is cute, like an old house.

summary: Absolutely love fritz's food BUT (and its a big butt) the service can be a bit dodgy and some things on the menu are lacking... I wish I could give this place 3.75 stars because its not quite 4 stars but not quite 3.... So I have come here a million times because it is really close to my house and the space is super cute. I will say that I have always had a good, fresh meal every time I eat here. The fries are soo fresh, tasty, and not over fried. Also, I always get the mix & match where you can choose a style sandwich and your protein. This time I got the Buffalo style and I wanted the crispy portabello as the protein but they did not have any. They were nice to offer me alternatives like a fried eggplant but I just got the crispy chicken instead (im not vegetarian i just like mushrooms). Anyways my sandwich was amazing, the pictures dont do it justice because it was a bit messy but the chicken is soo good, juicy, and crunchy. The sauce is perfectly spicy but not too hot and the bread is toasted beautifully. However, my friend who came with me had a rather different experience food wise. He ordered the General Tso crispy chicken sandwich which is literally just a piece of fried chicken with general tso sauce/marinade and green onions. It was kinda surprising because my sandwich was so full of toppings that this one would be so mundane. He also wished that there was more sauce on the sandwich, maybe some lettuce, or something to add a bit more flair to the rather dry sandwich. This is an issue ive noticed consistently with the items on the menu that arent the mix & match sandwiches which confuses me because the mix and match is always so perfect! Also, the person taking our order was very nice but took a very long time to get our order placed for some reason (maybe he was new to cashiering?) and then it took a very long time for the food to actually come out to us. If you are not ordering ahead, this is probably not the place for a quick meal...

If Fritz's was around when I went to RU, I'm confident it would have been a staple. Not only was the food great, but I loved that they had indoor and outdoor seating. I was in the are killing time before an event close by and wanted a place I could get some food and do some work. Usually I'll just look for a cafe but Fritz's was the perfect find! I got the Turkey Avocado BLT, a bottle of water and sat outside since it was an expectedly beautiful day. The sandwich was fantastic! Sliced roasted turkey, avocado, bacon, tomato, lettuce and all on some toasted white bread. It was perfect and filled me up. I placed my order inside, was able to grab my seat outside and they brought my food out when it was all ready. I really love their outdoor seating, by the way. They have some tables and then a few stools set up along their railing. Perfect if you plan to eat and pull out your laptop at the same time. I am so happy I found this spot! It was filled with students who had the same idea as me, getting some work done. Hoping I can stop in again soon so I can keep making my way through the really wonderful menu.

    Beef Blend Meatball Parm
    Daniel T.

TLDR: Beef Blend Meatball Parm is filling and delicious in this cozy spot I ordered the Beef Blend Meatball Parm. On first bite of the slightly-too-big-for-mouth sandwich you get a lot of bread. Amazing. The warm roll is perfectly garlicky and buttery. It's complex yet mild flavors pair well with the meaty, cheesy filling inside. The classic meatball, provolone, tomato sauce combo was a great balance of salty, sweet, and tart. I sat outside on the porch, which was a cute little spot. It was slightly chilly that day, but the sandwich warmed me up. Looking forward to more meatball parms down the road!

Classic Reuben and General Tso's Crispy Chicken Sandwich
    Adam O.

Excited to try more food from here. I would I say my sandwich was only really a 4-4.5 but my wife's was like a 6 so that balances out right. Get the Reuben. Like don't ask questions just try that first. And you're welcome. It was really, really good. The corned beef, the marble rye, the sauce, the sour kraut, and especially the cheese we're all excellent. Oh and so was the salted caramel blondie. The fries and sweet potato fries were good and they give you way too many so really you could share an order with someone. I wanted the General Tso's crispy chicken to be great but it was just ok to good. The bread was good. The chicken was good although it was tough in a few spots. The sauce was tasty but there was no depth to the flavor at all. It had a sweetness to it but not heat or flavor depth I'm used to when I have a General Tso's dish.

    Fiesta Nachos
    Nina L.

TLDR - must try the nachos!, simple and hearty quinoa bowl, cozy patio seating Fritz's is a great place to eat on a sunny day because you can grab a spot on their porch! This was my second time coming here and I had to get the nachos to share again. They freshly cut and fry their tortilla chips so they come out nice and hot and crispy. I balanced out the meal with a healthy quinoa salad that was packet with corn, salsa avocado. Pro tip: using the nachos to scoop up the quinoa bowl is also pretty tasty I'll be back here for more casual but cute lunches!

Fritz's Catering (Jonathan , Rebecka and the Team ) did an Exceptional Job for my 50th Birthday Party. What an incredible experience thanks to the team. Fritz's played a major role on this event and I am extremely pleased with the outcome !! Guests are still raving over the how delicious the food was and exceptional service.. The Birthday theme was an outdoor backyard event " Caribbean Island " . Rebecka and Jonathan customized each and every food and drink items with the fine details & high quality ingredients. Each item for Cocktails , Appetizers , Main course and desserts were created for our liking and exactly what we wanted. It was a truly a Custom menu which was crafted for our party . The live station with Paella , and Smoked Briskets was exceptionally with presentation and the desserts and cake were outstanding closing the night !! The Fritz's Service during the event was once again exceptional and the team catered to all of the guests needs with care and fine hospitality. I would Highly recommend Fritz to anyone who is interested in obtaining Catering Services. We will definitely obtain their services in the future!

The 2nd time I ordered the Veggie Wrap which I decided to turn into a sandwich. That didn't work so well. The burgers were good too. The items all had the option of fries or salad. All the food was good, except the fish and chips was batter and very little fish. The old school ambiance is really nice. The restaurant has an upstairs and downstairs dining area, each with its own bar. If in the area for a show, Tavern on the George has it down to a science getting all the groups in and out in time. Although, the food is nothing special, I'd come here again.

A short walk later, I found myself at Destination Dogs, a place I had seen in photographs that suggested capaciousness. In reality, it is smaller.  This is not a complaint, just an observation.  I remember once hearing something about the contents of small packages. At 12:30 the place was full. Packed with humanity and appetite. I was seated quickly, as if someone had anticipated my hunger in advance. From the bar came the sound of construction crews discussing their midday rituals. Apparently this is where they come on Fridays, to repair themselves while they repair the city. It explained everything. Service was swift and attentive, a minor miracle given the crowd. I began with a Scotch egg, an item that seemed to have wandered in from another story entirely. I ordered it for that reason. I had always imagined my first Scotch egg would be eaten in an English pub under low ceilings and older regrets. Instead, here it was. Perfectly crisp, warm, and generous. The universe does not ask for permission. Then came the main event. The menu is an atlas of hot dogs. Domestic. International. Proteins in tube form arranged like possibilities. There is even an invitation to build your own, which I accepted. I attempted to recreate a favorite from Crif Dogs, a thing called the Spicy Redneck. Bacon wrapped dog. Pickled jalapenos. Coleslaw. Simple in theory. Destination Dogs improved upon it in every way that matters. The bacon crisped with purpose. The jalapenos spoke clearly. The coleslaw behaved. The hot dog itself seemed proud to be there. All of this, plus a 16 ounce beer, cost me about twenty five dollars with tip. A small price for order in a chaotic universe. Five stars. Not because perfection exists, but because this comes close enough to make the argument.

I let the bartender pick for me, and she nailed it. She chose an all-beef dog that was basically a Big Mac in hot dog form. I was skeptical at first, but wow this hit in all the right ways. Awesome presentation, even better flavor. I could've easily eaten three of these. I also tried the onion rings, the bartender warned me they were just "meh," and she wasn't wrong, lol. For round two, I went with an all-beef dog topped with pastrami this is basically a Reuben-style dog. Another win! Great flavor, great presentation. Overall, I'd totally recommend Destination Dogs if you're in the area. Just a heads up, if there's a game on, it gets loud. Like "can't-hear-your-friend-next-to-you" loud. But if that's your vibe, you'll love it.

My cousin stopped by there about a month ago when she was in the area and gave it great reviews. I was feeling A Kind of Way a couple of weekends ago and just really wanted a cold beer. So me and huzzo stopped in. Service was good and beer was solid. This week I wanted another beer. Blame your president as he insists upon annihilating everyone and sending our collective pressure through the roof. We arrived about 20 minutes before the end of Happy Hour and snagged a couple of beers as well as wings and a shrimp quesadilla. The food was great but the service was the real stunner. I found myself stuck between two beers and the bartender suggested Arnold Palmering it and going halfsies on both. Fantastic decision - the mixed drink was refreshing and tart without being too pedestrian or too far afield. Food came out quickly and deliciously. Saved $15 on food prices alone during Happy Hour. Fat things: The bar stools are excellent - steel with a wide seat and a foot bar so your legs don't fall asleep. And they don't pack too many of them in so it's easy to get into and out of your seat without bumping someone else. Other stuff: They have regular indoor seating and an outdoor seating area on the side with couches, high table, and heat lamps. Overall, the space is open, airy, bright, and clean. It's pretty packed when the temps warm up but shoulder season is very nice for us right now. Be advised: Regular menu prices still seem steep - like everything else these days. But the food is good and they have a very nice craft beer selection. If you can't make happy hour and are looking to treat yourself this might be it. We'll def return!

I had Hendricks up with olives. Nicely chilled glass and shaken to perfection. When our friends arrived we were seated in the front of the dining room along the windows. Acoustics a little better but I still had some trouble hearing my wife across the table. The wine list had a decent selection and even some good values mixed in with the typical 3X prices. We had a couple of bottles of Sancerre which arrived properly chilled and went well with our food. Oyster selection was very good. I let the chef pick some cold water varieties from PEI. The Bad Boys and Momma Mia were excellent. Briney, properly chilled and nice accoutrements. We also had calamari and zucchini which were perfectly fried. The bread was pretty good too. Worth noting. For entrees we had the Branzino (2), Sole and Halibut. They were served with a small portion of tasty potatoes and generous pile of sauteed spinach. All on the mark. Server was very attentive but not overbearing. Perfect pace. Bussers cleared plates timely. We had a nice relaxing and enjoyable evening. Solid dining experience. We will definitely return. Perhaps sit at the bar next time. The one pecular thing about the place is that you need to get on an elevator to go to the restrooms which are located in the basement. I would prefer to use the stairs but apparently, they are for staff only.
