Stopped here for a quick bite this morning. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a toasted egg bagel with butter. I didn't have to wait long for it either. The bagel was very fresh and soft. The sandwich in whole was very good. The bagel spot could use a bit more of a menu of breakfast items when walking in. I saw some stuff for some sandwiches but I did not see much of a breakfast menu. I just placed an order for the sandwich is wanted. But that's about it. I would come back and grab breakfast here again.

Amazing bagels.. service is kool.. ultimately it's a nice low key deli with really great bagels. I like coming here and would suggest it to others who aren't familiar with the area.. I dare to say they have the best bagels in town..but they have other stuff too that's not too shabby either. It can get packed on weekends and early mornings, so clearly they're doing something right! Inside is low key seedy but I doubt people go there for the ambiance.

This is THE Central Jersey bagel spot! I remember the first time I was introduced to this place and was amazed that I was missing out onbsome place so close to home. They always have fresh bagels, and I am a classic lady who loves her sundried tomato spread and everything bagel. The bagels are the perfect chewy balance with a nice crust to it. They have plenty of savory options, with their sliced lox with cream cheese being a top hit as well. Don't sleep on the grill menu either, as it probably is the best bang fod your buck options around. If you are more of a sweets person, they have plenty of specialty cream cheese spreads that are sweet as well. Service is immaculate here as they have about 4-5 people constantly helping out the customers, and they just rotate which cash register they are on based on what is available. Cash does save you an extra credit card fee here. The parking lot is small, but everyone is in and out so quickly, even if there is a line out the door, you won't be waiting more than 20 minutes. It is a very casual place that is mostly for takeout, but you have some seating available there as well if you are headed out on a lil roadtrip or making a pitstop.

Couldn't make it to NJ without a stop to The Bagel Pantry. The smell of hot, fresh and delicious bagels emits as you walk in the door. The service was courteous, and our wait was less than 2 minutes. They even allowed us to do a half and half cream cheese half apple/ pie cream cheese container. ( Yes...was curious about how that would taste on my plain bagel even though my yelpie said that was blasphemy. ) Small quaint bagel shop right outside main street . Absolutely will be back.

Busy bagel joint in the heart of Edison. Bagels are denser than I prefer, but still a good mastication. The variety of cream cheese spreads is greater than average (Confetti cream cheese? Are you kidding me!?), but I found my veggie cream cheese to be superior to many I have tried elsewhere. Service is fast and friendly. I was in the shop less than 5 minutes with bag in hand and out the back door into the parking lot. If they would try a bit less kneading to allow more air pockets in the dough, they would likely hit my preferred texture, but who am I to debate their success? Besides, many folk like it this way.

I wouldn't even consider this a full egg on my breakfast sandwich. Their bagels are ok? But I would not go back for any type of egg sandwich especially what they charge.

A must visit in the Metuchen and Edison area. They offer a variety of the freshest bagels and an assortment of cream cheeses. My favorite Yelpie and I's favorite when visiting this area. On the weekends I would recommend going early as the line is out the door at times. The service is always amazing and helpful. They are so fresh and good there is tendency to dig in while driving Enjoy!

The bagels at the Bagel Pantry are the perfect consistency- super fluffy and doughy with a chewy exterior. They have a lot of cream cheese to choose from; both sweet, savory, and seasonal varieties. I've been here several times and I always get a bagel with cream cheese because they are so good on their own, so I haven't yet ventured into the "egg and cheese" or other types of breakfasts you can get from here. Their service is super speedy, sometimes there is a line but it goes really fast and since I don't get my bagel toasted, I swear it's done in under a minute once my order is given. I am a huge lover of salted bagels, and unfortunately their salted bagel is a tad too much salt for my liking, but that's not enough to take away a star since it's more just my preference (plus you can just scrap off the excess). I love the everything bagel and eventually I'll get around to trying more varieties and options. Right now for fall they have pumpkin spice cream cheese as well as apple pie!

Bagel pantry has been a staple spot in my life for the past 15 years (at least). I've gone there throughout middle school, high school, college, and still do to this day. Bagels are always hot and fresh and the cream cheese selection is immaculate. My go to is a plain bagel toasted with a veggie cream cheese, though I also sometimes get a sausage egg and cheese, extra sausage. I love that they use a more kielbasa type sausage instead of the typical breakfast sausage. Have been coming here for many years, and will continue for many more years to come!

I loved my bagels at the bagel Pantry. I ordered the poppy seed bagel and the sesame seed bagel. I Requested both bagels to be toasted and ordered chive cream cheese. The bagels were really good in flavor and cream cheese Was a hefty portion. I couldn't believe how full I got after consuming both the bagels. The restaurant had other breakfast sandwiches available with bagels and plenty of variety of bagels and cream cheese.

The place is overrated. Bagels are bland, and expensive. The staff is nice and hard working, but the bagels just not worth it.

One of the best in the tristate area, as good as or better than famed places in NYC and Jersey Shore.

They serve fresh bagels (not overly doughy or chewy), tasty spreads, Efficient service so know your order before getting to counter.

Would I recommend it? Yes. Is it worth seeing once? Also yes. It has that big, theatrical, old-school deli energy where the portions are part of the show. That said, I'm not in the camp that every good restaurant is automatically a five-star spot. When everything is a five, it gets harder to separate the truly elite places, the hometown heroes, and the restaurants worth planning a trip around. Harold's lands for me as a very solid three-point-something, graciously rounded to four because they have a Marine Corps flag hung in reception. The food was good, the portions were whatever you make it, and the whole place has novelty value without feeling like a total gimmick. The sandwiches are large enough to satisfy a hungry, medium-sized guy without completely defeating him. And honestly, on a menu full of meat, my favorite thing may have been the healthy pickled salad/pickle bar situation -- bright, crunchy, and a great counterbalance to the heavier deli classics. My biggest knock was the service atmosphere. There seemed to be an army of staff, but not much interaction beyond their phones. Maybe I caught it at an off time, and maybe the place comes alive when it's packed, but that kept the experience from feeling warmer or more special. Overall: fun stop, good food, convenient location, and worth doing if you're passing through. Memorable four.
