My bagel was not fresh. It was hard and she asked me if I wanted it toasted and when I asked if it was soft she assured me it was. My friend ordered a poppy seed bagel with butter which she did get, but she threw it away because it was so salty, she couldn't eat it. It is pretty and nice and cheery inside, but no place to sit. Sometimes we need a place to sit and relax while having a cup of coffee and a bagel on a Saturday morning. read more

Got bagels here back to back mornings because I missed east coast bagels. These were weirdly crispy on the outside, but I did not dislike it. The strawberry cream cheese here is very light and fluffy. The cream cheese with smoked salmon bits was okay. I did see a pile of trash in the kitchen area that seemed largely ignored by all staff, which I thought was strange. read more

Aside the "new" owner and the rising prices, the quality and taste of the bagel and sandwiches have always been good, but the coffee, what has happened? It's always been consistent and flavorful, but in the last two weeks, it's had a burnt taste and an aftertaste like milk that is just going off. As a seven-day-a-week customer, I used to go back and buy a second large cup, but no more. It's no better or worse than coffee at 7-11. They need to stop trying to squeeze even penny from this ( and other ) location and go back to providing quality and value for the dollar. read more

Customer service is horrible. The short lady with bangs was extremely rude. The food is overpriced, and the prices constantly change for the exact same items. Customer service is not about arguing with customers over 50 cents or a dollar. The money was never the issue. I simply wanted clarity on why I was charged four different prices for the same item on different occasions. Instead of properly explaining the pricing, honoring the last price I paid, and simply clarifying the correct price moving forward, the situation turned completely unprofessional. I even called the other employee who previously charged me so she could explain the pricing difference. Instead, the lady with bangs began screaming at and belittling her over a 50-cent difference. Completely unnecessary and truly unbelievable behavior. I strongly believe in respectful customer service, and the screaming and yelling that took place was completely unacceptable. read more

I was in the mood for bagels and found this place by chance. What a gem. There are SO many bagel choices , subs , etc. my bagel was fresh and the cream cheese was quality cream cheese. My bacon was cooked perfectly and they give you a nice amount for a side. This will now be one of my favorite bagel stops in the future . read more

I can't believe l've deprived myself of the joy of eating these bagels all these years. At first I thought they didn't look that appetizing but DON'T LET APPEARANCES FOOL YOU. The bagel itself has so much flavor -- if I didn't have any cream cheese I would still enjoy it! And it's kinda crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside. The more I chewed the better the bagel tasted. Also the scallion cream was excellent too. Service was very quick too despite all the other customers. Definitely going to visit again! read more

I used to come here for years. After covid i noticed everything changed. The quality of the bagels and the cream cheese wasnt the same . I decided to try again years later but no they decided to put money before the customers. But no same cheap quality for everything Bagels are tasteless and bland. Theyre using the cheapest and worst cream cheese ive tried. No one is wearing hairnets or gloves The same hands that make your food touch the money This place has gotten dirty and inconsiderate of the customers But most people eat garbage so they dont know a good bagel or good breakfast read more

As a New Jersey native, this is my go to spot for bagels and quick breakfast items. Reasons why this is my favorite: 1) huge assortment of bagels! They have every flavor you could want. But you should go early if you can because it's a popular spot and they run out of some items quickly 2) the service is fast! They have a really hardworking staff who do a great job and prepare your food very quickly and don't skimp on the portions. 3) huge breakfast/lunch menu. Pretty sure the entire menu is all day but they have a really large menu of sandwiches and wraps that you might be in the mood for for either breakfast or lunch. 4) very reasonably priced. You get generous portions and they don't skimp at all. Only con? Don't expect to sit down and eat, they have very limited space and they tend to be very busy especially in the mornings. This is strictly a breakfast and lunch spot so they close around 3. read more

I'm really torn about this review because I've been to this restaurant a total of three times. The first time was a few years ago and I don't remember loving it. But, upon a few recommendations more recently, I decided to give it another try. In the past couple weeks, I came here twice and both experiences were different. The first time I came, the bagel was really amazing; it had a crispy outside and soft inside, it was large in size, and tasted very fresh. The second time, I came back, again around the same time in the morning, and the bagel was smaller and not as crispy or fluffy. Both times I ordered the same thing which was an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. Even the cream cheese was different the second time...there were barely any scallions the second time and the cream cheese just tasted very plain. I'm confused about the consistency of the two experiences but I'll be back again since it's so close to where I live, I think I'll give it a few more tries before I decide to either become a loyal customer or abandon hopes of it being good, consistently. This earned three stars from me purely because I did really enjoy my bagel the first time. I am hoping the second time was a fluke and that the bagels will be really fresh again next time I visit. read more

The food is delicious. However, it could use a little salt. I ordered eggs, potatoes, and bacon and French toast. All was very good. Since I ordered Uber, they didn't send utensils after stating there was a need. They also didn't send salt nor pepper or napkins. This is important when ppl order, especially to a hotel. They also didn't send syrup for the French toast. I also ordered the Italian sub and they forgot to send the chips. So even though the food was good, the order was incomplete. read more

Great service and great prices. Returning to the office has been difficulty but one of the perks is Bagel Friday. I stopped in here last week since it was my turn for bagels and I was in and out in minutes. They move quickly and have a pretty large menu. The muffins are really good too! read more

I miss this bagel place. I used to live around the corner from them. Tiny little parking lot off of route 27 so be careful driving. Classic NJ bagels. They can get really busy and chaotic sometimes. The service is hit or miss. A really good bagel. Not a write home to your mom stellar bagel but really good. No good coffee choices, pretty much only regular or decaf. No iced option. No specialty creamers. very confusing that they have multiple locations only separated by Roman numerals. My bridesmaids ordered their bagels for my brunch bridal shower and the order got sent to the wrong location lol I even had their plain bagel on my wedding day lol Occasionally they offer mini bagels and bialys. They have good lunch specials at reasonable prices. read more

First time here and they charged me 18.09 for a bagel sandwich (Taylor ham egg n cheese) and coffee. I just looked at the menu and I was totally overcharged. Recently had a weird craving for a fresh breakfast bagel. Woke up today and was determined to find a spot locally and stumbled upon La Bagel. Going into the store, it was pretty clean and straight forward. I had ordered a wheat everything bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. It came out of be around $5.50 which was quite expensive especially it did not live up to its par. It took the girl 1 minute to get my sandwich and I knew she did not even toasted it as requested. As I indulge my bagel sandwich anyways, there was no cheese to be found. Highly disappointed and probably would not recommend wasting time or money into this place. So sad. read more

La Bagel I - my sad bacon egg and cheese. didn't even toast my bagel and they forgot the cheese :( - Bagels Near Me - Edison, New Jersey

We stopped in here quickly to get a bite to eat and I think it ended up being a mistake that we came an hour before La Bagel closed. When we walked in, we were told that we couldn't order off of the hot options menu. I was really feeling a panini so I was a bit disappointed. They really turned off the grill//panini press with a hour still left to go before they closed? Weird. We opted to get the Turkey Bacon club and it was okay but nothing special. (Also, we couldn't have bacon on it because the grill was off so it was more like a general Turkey club.) The other thing about La Bagel is the inside just feels really grimy and old. There was dirt kind of caked up where the floor meets the wall and overall it kind of just seemed very unsanitary. I wouldn't come here again. read more

I just paid $10.54 for 6 bagels is a bit much specially when they aren't very good. I got 3 plain and 3 French toast bagels. It's the second time I stop in and have the same experience. The staff is rude at best. No hi, no thank you, no how can i help you. The few words that were spoken towards me were few and the woman that helped me had the-im doing you a favor and I hate my job attitude. The entire staff needs some manners and the bagels need flavor. read more

This was my first time here. The woman gave me an egg bagel instead of an eight grain bagel, even though she double checked so she knew what I said. She also cut the bagels at an extreme angle so they couldn't fit in the toaster. If it were just one thing, maybe it might've been a mistake or a slip. This was FOUR bagels cut this way. Plus the bagel that was not even the right bagel. read more

Awesome bagels and they get everything right all the time and they are fast, love it thank you guys

Top notch bagels with generous spreads and lox. Easy to order in person. Friendly service.

My job orders from here all the time. They have delicious wraps. I usually get the W-6....which has grilled chicken with roasted peppers and mozzarella cheese. There bagels look amazing, even though I never tried them. The service is fast and they deliver. They have good breakfast sandwiches and platters, which they serve all day long. There macaroni salad is pretty good as well. This place is great for lunch. read more

So I had to bring my car to the dealer for service today and while I waited I tried this place for the first time - I ordered a sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel and a medium coffee. Both were amazing. The coffee was smooth and rich. The bagel itself was really delicious! Both together it was like 6 bucks. Not bad. They have a super extensive menu too. Great variety of bagels (next time I'm getting the French toast bagel) Also good to know they accept credit and debit too. I hate when places are cash only (I never carry cash) read more

I thought this was a pretty decent bagel spot. Stopped in for the first time on 11/4/17 for 2 cold cut sandwiches. They seem to be very popular as there was a pretty long line. The wait wasn't terrible but you have to make sure that you're in the right line. We stood behind some people that we thought were waiting to order but they had actually already ordered and were waiting for their items to be made. Once we figured that out and placed our order, it was done pretty quick. read more

I have driven past this place for probably the last ten years and I've never gone in and have always wanted to. Today I decided to go in and order a wrap. It's 245, they close at 5 or at least that's what google stated. I walk in am greeted by a girl sweeping the floor.l I'm standing there for about a min and then the same girl says to me "we are closed"! I used to go to la bagel all the time. I live down the street. I'm not sure what happened if they changed owners or not but i am done with them. I decided to give them one last chance today and use the order online that yelp offers. I go in and start speaking with the one man who says there is no such thing. Mid conversation he answers the phone and points his finger at me. So I go up to the other lady and she looks at me like I have 3 heads saying there is no order and didn't even offer to make it for me. Rude and over priced.
