Great for fresh food - the Farmers market sandwich on everything bagel was delicious and the little side of pasta was also tasty, very olive forward. I got the ABCG juice - the ginger comes thru strong with a nice kick. The space is decorated well with lots of seating. It's comfortable spot with a small book shelf for while you're in the store. I applaud the wellness shots, the ambiance and friendliness of staff. I have a complaint about the last few breakfast sandwiches. The breads, particularly the kaiser rolls are NEVER fresh. It appears as if you freeze them or leave them out to dry. Then you try to toast them to bring it back to life and its horrible. Also the eggs seem pre cooked in advanced, really dry and hard!! One thing that Rt 22 doesn't have us a smoothie place so it was nice that this bagel place offers all kinds of smoothies You can even choose type of milk including soy and almond milk which is great . I also saw options to put chia seeds in it as well! I've never had any food here ... but this would be a good option if you want a quick breakfast sandwich etc while on Rt 22 it has a mom and pop feel to it inside ... shop and dining area needs some serious updating to make the place more appealing especially with Starbucks next door I'm not sure about the live music but Sunday morning - I saw a female setting up with a guitar - live music is a nice touch read more

The sandwich tasted like leftover fry oil from frying fish, which I found very strange but also suspicious given the proximity of the place to (it's located in back of) a fish fry joint (the Chippery). Was disgusting. Also, the bagel itself was not particularly good. It didn't taste like a fresh, NY-style bagel; rather, it tasted and had the texture more so of one of those bagels you'd buy at the supermarket in packs. So incredibly disappointed with my experience today. I made an order for a smoothie and I told them twice on the phone I am extremely extremely allergic to dairy. I go to pick up the smoothie (which they made a large and charged me more but I kindly didn't say anything and paid for it) and asked them again if there was any dairy in it and they told me no. After only drinking some of it cause of the size, two hours later I'm at work profusely sweating, acid reflux, about to pass out on the floor. Thankfully my boss let me go home and I've been throwing up nonstop for the last two hours. I called Skolnik's to tell them what happened and asked for a refund. The woman on the phone was so rude I was appalled. She was yelling at me and accusing me of lying, and told me I can't receive a refund. Please save your time and go somewhere else. Dude behind the counter looks at me like I'm a leper. He says I just gave your sandwich away to the girl pulling out of the parking lot, go get it. Wow, to call these bagels is a tragedy. Their "bagels" are really rolls with holes in the center. I ordered an everything bagel with bacon egg and cheese, which was a plain bagel/roll with sesame and poppy seeds on top an egg and two thin slices of bacon folded over (to look like four slices from the outside. The bacon was an extra $2. As for taste, It lacked any real flavor or crunchy outside. I really regret not getting a sandwich here, and instead, got a $14 salad with capers and salmon lox. I thought it would be a bigger salad but it still satisfied my craving. As I was waiting for them to make it, I remember thinking that I would never dine in there because the place looked so run-down. They have dingy emerald green carpets, and an annoying fly kept buzzing around the front counter. It was a huge turn off. There is a green carpet in the dining area that is extremely stained and has food all over it, all the appliances are old and dingy, including the cash register which looks so dirty. There are stacks of paper and books behind the counter and the meat cases never look clean or fresh. Even the floor/walls look dirty. This place has good drinks and juices and ok food but they need to put some money into their business. Everything in there looks like it needs to be replaced or deep cleaned. It is usually pretty busy but they need to take some of that money and invest it back into the restaurant itself. Some new appliances, flooring, paint would go a long way! read more
