Iconic bagel shop that gets the basics right. Flavors are very simple. We ordered a half-dozen bagels, cream cheese, and lox. Bagels have an excellent balance between crisp exterior and chewy interior. The bagel has enough structure that it holds together when you bite or tear off a piece, but remains soft to the bite. (Skip the mini bagel which gets tougher due to the thinner dough.) The cream cheese is dense and very mild with the slightest tang. Both items want a little something more for flavor. In particular, the bagel tastes like plain flour and might benefit from a longer rise to allow more development. That said, the texture is excellent and makes for a great sandwich when you add the fixings. read more

These bagels were really good, soft, and fresh, but a little small. The cream cheese too was delicious, with a variety of spreads to choose from. There was a little bit of seating inside and outside, with only a couple of tables but standing isn't an issue for me. The salt bagels could have used more salt, as seen in the picture, the top half didn't have too much. The service was slow, and the workers didn't seem to remember the orders and had to repeatedly ask for what our orders were, but I believe they had new workers, so it's understandable. A lot of people love these bagels, I have seen a line out the door. I would say they're not bad and I'd come back here but I wouldn't commute for this. They offer a senior discount on Wednesday's for a dozen bagels. I helped by ordering for my dad, he paid, and then he remembered about the discount. He waited in line, again, and was told that the *policy* was that the person ordering had to be the senior. Despite the fact that he paid, Ans I asked him what to order. I was nearby and searched for the best bagel shop in the area. Lately I've been on a kick. Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, lox, onions, and tomatoes. Got a sesame seed since they were out of everything. There are a couple of countertop seats facing the streets should you decide to eat in. The bagel was missing the outer crunch that is a staple in a A1 bagel. I also prefer thin sliced red onions on my lox w/ cream cheese, and they had white onions cut a bit on the thick side. This might just be a personal preference and could have asked before hand, so they don't lose any points for that part. Also it was around 9 bucks. I'm happy with the 7.50 I pay at my regular place, even though it's not an astronomical difference. We love this place but I feel violated today. Got my usual order of a dozen bagels and a dozen mini bagels and a few cream cheeses, and 3 whitefish salad bagel twists. As I was opening the bagel twists telling my guests that these are really special, they had embarrassingly sparse whitefish salad, like it was put on them scraped off. Bagels Supreme has the best bagels in the area, hands down. The storefront is reminiscent of old school NY bagel shops and their bagels taste like it too! They're perfectly chewy and tender on the inside, crispy on the outside. My go-to order is an everything bagel with the chive cream cheese. The cream cheese tastes very fresh and isn't overdone with chives, but have enough to give it flavor. They usually put too much cream cheese in the bagel, but I'd rather be able to take out the cream cheese than complain of not having enough. There's something very cathartic about coming here in the morning, waiting in line for bagels as you watch them pop up of the oven and placed in the metal wire bins in the display. They tend to be busy during this time, but seem to handle the crowd efficiently. The coffee here isn't that bad either. What else can I ask for? read more

When I have morning errands, I'm almost always drawn here for an everything bagel (topped with poppy seed, sesame seed, garlic, onion and salt) with cream cheese or jelly and butter. Either I've been very lucky or it's coincidental that each time, I've had bagels that just came out of the oven, firm and glossy on the outside while soft and chewy on the inside- perfect.
