Pretty outstanding coffee shop. Right at the heart of Maplewood, this cozy breakfast coffee shop is a local gem with its dependable, flavorful offerings. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a leisurely meal, I find it charming. The coffee is always fresh and darkly roasted. From scrambled eggs to avocado toast, every dish is crafted with care, but one standout item is their oatmeal. It's rich, creamy, and consistently delicious, grab it with fruit and granola. Even their potatoes (coupled with eggs) are seasoned and cut extremely well. What sets this coffee shop apart is the attention to detail: they seem to focus on using high-quality ingredients. Staff are friendly and it's clear that they take pride in the food they serve, creating a consistent and enjoyable experience for customers. It can be challenging getting a table during peak hours but it's certainly worth the try!

First time trying one of their bowls. Would not recommend. It was frozen solid and the flavor was a little off. Although, everything else on the menu that i have tried is very good.

Such a great, neighborhood family-owned place. Lots of heart and friendliness. For vegans, there's a tofu scramble I love (just say no eggs). They make a great Americano. I really love it here. A great staple of Maplewood.

Fast service and above average food except for their bakery items. Ordered their vegetable jalfrezi which was good, just wish it had more veggies in it like baby corn, bell peppers etc (very small naan pieces). On the other hand, the lemon loaf was a disappointment it was stale and had no flavor!

The place was busy when I went in but I decided to get a latte and pick up one of their black and white cookies. The latte was ok but the cookie was great. The place was not bad but the prices were a little steep for the quality of food received. However, I would still go to there over the Starbucks, so in that area, not a bad place to get your espresso drink fixing.

Popular and good breakfast/brunch spot. Service is fast and good. A little expensive for some of the items or substitutes, but overall good!

I finally made it there the other day and was shocked at how substantial the place was. It was no small bakery, but was a full cafe and gourmet shop as well. Though I did not try their savory sandwiches, breads, salads, or spreads at that time, I did purchase some of their sweets. First, the Chocolate Rugelach were some of the best I have had. The delicate, flaky cookies were like little croissants and were ribboned with a rich chocolate spread. Their version also had hints of vanilla, which I really enjoyed. I also got one of their large Chocolate Chip Cookies, which was thin, but packed with gooey bittersweet and semi-sweet chocolate. It also had a light sprinkling of Maldon sea salt on the top. It was super decadent! Liv Breads exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to revisiting to try many more of their items.

The systems they have in place are fascinating. It feels like they're trying to reinvent the wheel when it comes to ordering/picking up, and it's super inefficient. First off: Service. I told the employee that this was my first time there, and they were more-than-happy to help me make a decision for my order. Patient and walked me through. Second: The Food. Let's get into it. 1) Cassava Latte ($7.50) - I was so pleasantly suprised at this drink; described as "(i)nspired by the Filipino dessert cake, made with condensed milk and coconut." The first sip, and I was intrigued! It was perfectly sweet, and the perfect mix of that coconut-dessert taste that cassava typically delivers! It tasted genuine, if that's possible. 2) Sinigang Croquette ($5.00) - This was interesting. Described as "Pork and Gabi (taro) shaped into a patty, rolled in Japanese bread crumbs, and deep fried. Served with our in-house sawsawan (dipping sauce)", it hit all the right notes. To be honest? $5.00 for 1 felt a bit steep. I'd pay $7.50 for two, though! 3) Boy Bawang Shio Pan ($7.50) - This was the most curious of all my purchases. Described as an "(i)n-house salt bread rolled in garlic and corn crumbs, filled with roasted garlic butter, topped with corn cheese whip. Inspired by the popular Filipino snack: Boy Bawang. THIS ITEM I SING ITS PRAISES. I am an absolute lover of the Boy Bawang Garlic Flavor Corn Snack --- much more pungent than anything Corn Nuts could ever offer. This Shio Pan absolutely delivered with its roasted garlic flavor! And as soon as you take a few bites ---- you get hit with that roasted garlic butter --- and let me tell you, they are not shy about their filling! Absolute master class --- but it's only for a limited run. You should definitely try! Third: Ambiance - The Cafe is quaint --- and has a seating area that could maybe fit between 18-24 people? It's just along the side of the business, but I managed to get a table for myself. Ayala, you did not disappoint! Can't wait to try your Sisig Flatbread for the next round!

Once you bite into it, the chicken isn't mushy at all -- you can actually see the fibers, and it's very juicy and tender. The seasoning is well done and not overly salty. I went with their house sauce, which has a slightly pickled chili vibe -- mildly sour, a bit spicy, and with a unique aroma that's hard to describe but really enjoyable. The fried chicken burger was also impressive -- definitely shows some skill in execution. One unexpected highlight was the cornbread. I usually don't enjoy cinnamon-flavored desserts, but this one grew on me quickly. The texture was excellent, and it ended up being a pleasant surprise.
