Finally got to experience this place after hearing of it for more than 2+ years! I've heard at times this Coffee spot can be pretty packed, so I feel like I came on a really good day. First off: Service. I told the employee that this was my first time there, and they were more-than-happy to help me make a decision for my order. Patient and walked me through. Second: The Food. Let's get into it. 1) Cassava Latte ($7.50) - I was so pleasantly suprised at this drink; described as "(i)nspired by the Filipino dessert cake, made with condensed milk and coconut." The first sip, and I was intrigued! It was perfectly sweet, and the perfect mix of that coconut-dessert taste that cassava typically delivers! It tasted genuine, if that's possible. 2) Sinigang Croquette ($5.00) - This was interesting. Described as "Pork and Gabi (taro) shaped into a patty, rolled in Japanese bread crumbs, and deep fried. Served with our in-house sawsawan (dipping sauce)", it hit all the right notes. To be honest? $5.00 for 1 felt a bit steep. I'd pay $7.50 for two, though! 3) Boy Bawang Shio Pan ($7.50) - This was the most curious of all my purchases. Described as an "(i)n-house salt bread rolled in garlic and corn crumbs, filled with roasted garlic butter, topped with corn cheese whip. Inspired by the popular Filipino snack: Boy Bawang. I came into this place with very high expectations because it was ranked globally on beli. It was good, but it did miss a bit. First the good: The food was good! I had the sisig flatbread and the pork croquette. The sisig flatbread had very unique and complex flavors. I thought it was very creative. The croquette was fresh and tasty, but it was truly the sauce that came with it that was the star of the show. It bold and vinegary and tasted great with the sisig flat bread as well. I tried a bit of my friend's pandan waffle and it was quite tasty! I could really taste the pandan. Now the bad. The ube latte was mediocre. I asked for mine with matcha, but I really couldn't even taste the matcha. I think next time I might try their other drinks to see if there is a difference. However, I was really expecting better. Overall: I'd say the food is better than the drinks, which is a bit of a disappointment because I was hoping for both to be out of this world. The service was good and the staff was very kind. This weekend I went to Ayala Coffee to grab breakfast. I had been before but only really tried their drinks. I was excited to give their food offerings a try. It was around 11AM on a Sunday and the place was pretty busy. There was 1 free table and a decent line. Even so, the service was quick and friendly. My party had ordered a good amount of food and it all came out in a reasonable amount of time. According to the signage on the table they have a 1 hr dining limit on weekends which is plenty of time for you to enjoy your food and drink. The corned beef sandwich actually used corned beef brisket which was nice. It had just enough fat on it for added flavor without being overwhelming. It was nice and tender and perfectly seasoned. The hash brown in the sandwich added a fantastic crunch and the ube bread it was served on was nice and fluffy. The fried egg on top (optional) was a nice addition. I really liked this. We also tried the Sinigang Croquette. Definitely a unique offering. It's a mixture of pork and taro rolled into a patty and fried. It's served alongside a dipping sauce that added a nice tartness. Honestly I didn't get too much pork flavor; it felt like it was mostly the taro inside. Nevertheless it was still really good. The last thing we tried was the Sisig Flatbread. This was my least favorite thing but it was still pretty good. It also felt a little light on the pork but the calamansi aioli was really good. I probably wouldn't get this again just because it cost about as much as one of the breakfast sandwiches. The drinks are great and they offer a good variety. You're bound to find something you like. The space isn't the biggest, but it's clean and feels very cozy. The prices are a little high, but in line with higher end specialty coffee shops. I really enjoyed the food too. I'm 20-25 minutes from Union, but I literally make the drive over almost once a month because I craveeeeeeeeeeee it. I LOVE their tocino egg hash breakfast sandwich (it's on ube potato roll) and with hot sauce on the side. It's like my favorite breakfast sandwich.... I also LOVE their ube matcha latte. A long drive home and a need for a pick me up led me to discover Ayala Coffee. Located inside an unassuming building, is the cutest coffee shop. The vibe is modern and clean, yet full of character. The baristas are welcoming and super helpful, whether they're explaining the menu or customizing a drink. They offer plenty of pastries, a full food menu, and rotating seasonal specials. Came on an early monday and the place was already busy. We found a spot for two but by 10:30am almost all the seats were taken. We got their spamganisa and tocino sandwich, pastries and of course their lattes. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the tocino more than the spam as the latter didnt really taste exactly like spam as it was flavored differently. Lacked the salty and savory taste i was used too lol The tocino though was sweet and had that savory taste which i liked. The pastries were good and i actually loved the ube champorado croissant. for the lattes, i tried their apple pie. I shouldve thought about how im not really info fruity lattes so this was a no-go for me - shouldve just gotten their signatures but i tend to try something new so there's that. It tasted like it was made in advance, instead freshly made by order. The barista was helpful and did hint that the pastries were freshly baked. Not gonna lie, my friends and I risked getting a ticket and put a stomp on the gas in order to get to Ayala Coffee before they closed.... And do we regret our decisions? NOT ONE BIT. Ayala was truly worth the trek and all the stress we had to endure to get here... that's how good this place is! Got the ube matcha latte and a box of their pastries and everything was sooo delicious! As a Filipina, it is so refreshing to see Filipino food be put on the map. Ayala does a great job of honoring the Filipino flavors we have grown up to love but with a bit of a modern twist. I love seeing all the different creations they develop which are so creative. I've heard only great things about this place from soo many people and it truly, truly lives up to the hype. As someone who is willing to drive almost an hour away to go here, I assure you that Ayala is always worth the visit. A guaranteed great (and yummy!!!) time. My friend and I walked in at 10:30 am on a Sunday, and we were impressed by the cute, minimal decor and the extensive menu. Seating was limited, but we were able to grab a table just as a couple was leaving. For drinks, my friend ordered the buko oolong tea, and I ordered the fig cardamom latte, and both were DELICIOUS. For food, I got the panna cotta (which was basically a silken tofu dessert w/ sago) and ube croissant, and they were both super yummy (not too sweet). Ayala Coffee is such a gem to discover! I wasn't even looking for coffee, but we spotted a woman walking by with a latte that immediately caught my eye. After a little online searching, we tracked down the cup on their Yelp page and had to stop by. The Flan Latte has quickly become our go to, though I also love the Lavender Latte and trying new a new one each time we go. The sandwiches are delicious, made with fresh bread and high quality ingredients. My personal favorite is the Spamganisa breakfast sandwich because the sausage is perfectly seasoned, paired with crispy hashbrowns and pickled veggies. Another favorite is the Tocino sandwich, which we like to add egg and avocado to. All their pastries are amazing too, and I love trying a new one each visit. I'm especially excited to have a local Filipino coffee shop nearby! I'm a fan of a Filipino author who writes murder mysteries based on her cultural and owns a coffee shop with friends in her books, so it's been a dream to try the traditional baked goods and unique drinks she writes about a few minutes aways from home. My only small critique is that their online ordering system could use some work, as it's not always smooth. Otherwise, Ayala Coffee is a must visit spot and I recommend them to everyone. Big fan of their drinks and have frequented their other location but when I visited on 12/23/24, they mentioned that their new location was opening that day and actually sold food as well. So off we went as they were very close to one another. The new location is much bigger and very beautiful! There is some limited seating there as well on the left wall. I think it's great that they expanded. What we ordered: - Ube latte - Cassava latte - Kale Caesar Salad - Filipino Fried Chicken and Pandan Waffles - Tita Tess's crispy fried chicken thigh marinated in patis, star anise, and buttermilk with pandan and coconut waffles. Topped with arnibal and coconut whip The drinks remain delicious and the food is also so good. Definitely looking forward to trying out more of their dishes. LOVE ayala from the coffee shop they had before so have been anticipating this store opening up since then street parking around the area small line but not too much of a wait limited amount of tables but they do have a time limit during busy times so you can't set up shop & study for hours on end staff was a bit off putting though (we had an issue with not getting the points for our order which was over $70- we didn't realize we had to put in our number before paying and when we mentioned it afterwards, they said they couldn't do anything about it so we lost out on the "points" which was upsetting as i do see myself coming here enough to want to use the rewards i accumulate) ASIDE FROM THAT, food and drinks were AMAZING.there is nothing you can go wrong with but i absolutely LOVED their breakfast sandwiches - super delicious highly recommend read more

Great Filipino coffeeshop, and this location is a beautiful upgrade from their smaller cafe. We came on a Sunday and it was packed - so busy that we had to wait in line outside, but it moved rather quickly. The drinks are all great - the pandan latte and ube lattes are my favorites, though the person in front of us mentioned that the matcha is delicious (so I'll have to check that out next time!). For food, I really enjoyed the farroz caldo , which is something I've never had before (fusion of porridge and oatmeal but with farro) with a delicious and almost cheesy, savory flavor. The fish sandwich was sold out, but I definitely want to try that next time. Seating is rather tight, and you'll have to get lucky with someone leaving. Thankfully the staff is pretty accommodating, and will try to enforce 45 min seating time if other customers have been sitting too long. read more

Recently moved back to NJ and decided to try this relatively new coffee spot in Union and was not disappointed. It is a beautiful space inside, clean, very inviting. There are a few seating areas and could easily see myself sitting here on an afternoon sipping away while finishing some work. Service was quick and everyone is super friendly. Ordered: Milo/banana cream cold brew: So good, you can taste the Milo in the coffee and it pairs so well with the banana cream top. It's not super sweet but the right amount of coffee bitterness and the banana sweetness Leche flan latte: OMG, as a Stan for Filipino leche flan, I think this is the greatest vehicle for caffeine, it is on the sweeter side but absolutely delicious Food: Tried 3 pastries and I think that I'll be back for so much more. Kudos to who is making these cause they were incredible. Tried the strawberry matcha croissant was super delicious, the peach mango pie (better than any I've ever tried), and an absolutely divine chocolate chip cookie. Since I've been wanting to try this place for a hot minute, I took this opportunity to check it out. Besides, it was the Friday before my birthday and I wanted to treat myself. The cafe had a pretty steady line. I ordered an ube matcha, ube croissant, and the fried chicken with pandan waffle. I decided to dine in to enjoy my chicken and waffle while it was hot and fresh. After receiving my drink and croissant at the counter, my chicken and waffle was eventually brought out to me. I was directed to where the utensils and napkins were to help myself. I enjoyed my food and matcha. I took the croissant home to share. I had a small piece of it, but it was delicious. The cafe itself is very cute and bright. They played some good music as well. The only downside is if you're dining in, the seating is tight. It's so tight that you will easily bump into the table next to you trying to get to your seat. I tried to sit with some space between myself and others to avoid this, but as more people came in to dine in, it was unavoidable. I'd hate for my butt to land in someone's plate and vice versa. Very much enjoyed my iced matcha latte with UBE. Did not expect the flavors to mesh well but it pleasantly surprised me. Split an order of the Spamganisa sandwich and the palabok pasta. I think all Filipinos have high expectations when it comes to our cuisine, and this cafe does a great job of creating a fusion menu. Firstly the ambiance. I LOVE their decor here. It's chic yet cozy. Modern and comfortable at the same time. My only ding is that there aren't quite enough seats for everyone who wants to come visit and especially during the lunchtime rush. The cutlery and plates are so pretty, and you can tell they thoughtfully designed the space. Now the food and drinks. I've tried all the signature lattes -- ube, pandan, cassava, and definitely loved the pandan and cassava. The ube I had asked for a shot of espresso, but it was a miss for me as maybe the added coffee made it taste more muddy than it should have? Overall, I'd say the coffee is solid and would go back for the pandan and cassava. As far as food -- they have a deconstructed arroz caldo that was a bit too underseasoned and not quite what I wanted. We weren't a big fan of this dish. However, their cheese pimiento burger is FANTASTIC. I dream about that burger and you can get it with a side of fries. We had tried their ube croissant which was only ok. Came here at 9:30 for breakfast. It wasn't busy when we got there and since it was my first time, it took me some time to go through the menu and the staff was very patient with me. It was very hard to choose as everything sounded delicious but we ended up ordering their sinigang pork croquette, spamganisa breakfast sandwich, carmalized honey butter toast, and ube pie. I also ordered their ube latte as well. Their sinigang pork croquette was a very nice marriage between sinigang and Japanese croquette and using taro instead of potatoes. It was crispy on the outside, not as creamy and hot on the inside but I liked that there were chunks of taro to give it some texture. The pork was well seasoned and flavorful. And I'm not sure what they used but there's sprinkles of something sour in the top to tie in the true flavors of sinigang. It had a nice balance of savory and sour flavors. I also really enjoyed their spamganisa breakfast sandwich. The bun was soft and fluffy, the egg was done just right with the yolk not overly cooked or too runny b cause I don't like it when it gets messy. The hash brown was crispy and the spam wasn't overall salty. It's definitely something I would order again next I go. Their honey butter toast had a good ube flavor, but I found the toast to be too hard and overly sweet with the honey. I wish the toast had a nice crust on the outside but still fluffy and soft inside. I also found it quite expensive for the portion that was given as the piece of toast itself was probably half of a normal piece of bread. The ube pie was a hard miss for me. The it lacked ube flavor and for some odd reason, I tasted ginger in there. The crust was also not flaky enough for me. I would skip this next time. The ube latte had a good ube flavor and helped balance out the bitterness from the coffee. I did however, found it a little too sweet for my liking so I would ask if it's possible to decrease the sugar level next time. The cafe got really busy soon after we sat down and they had very limited number of tables so I would go early if you're set on enjoying your food there. Overall, I enjoyed their food, more on their savory options versus their sweets. I have heard they have really good croissant but they weren't available today as I was told their machine broke down. Most recently I bought some pastries, I really loved the Ube Champorado croissant. Drinks continue to be consistently great! My boyfriend and I came here last week and we really enjoyed it. Super cozy vibes from the minute you walk in. I had the pumpkin cheesecake cold brew, it was bomb. My boyfriend had the strawberry matcha and tocino sandwich. I tried both and they were so good, especially the tocino sandwich. Really appreciate the blend of cultures here, its super well done. Ayala coffee has been impressing us since they were in their old location. As they relocated, they also expanded their menu. Modern approach to traditional Filipino flavours showcased their creativity. Pandan Waffles with coconut whip(genius, btw) was innovative and I love pouring the "arnibal" into the fried chicken. Something about the fried chicken that tasted nostalgic to me. The layers of spamganisa, atchara and hash brown in an ube potato roll gave gratifying bites. These were all familiar individual ingredients by itself but combined, became a cohesive sandwich. Ensaymada cruffin was not only a prettier version but also more delicate than the traditional one. It would go well with any of their lattes. My choice was Ube latte cos it was amazing. Next, I will try the Horchata Latte. Staff was welcoming. read more

Ayala does not disappoint with anything on their menu. I have tried their numerous Signature Lattes and they're all so very tasteful. The Ube Latte is by far my favorite out of the bunch. They have a Spamganisa Breakfast Sandwhich, that was life changing to me. It had Longanisa flavored pork spam, atchara, chrispy hashbornw, and kewpie mayo in an ube potato roll. YUM! This place can get busy during the weekend and seating is very limited. But don't let that deter you from stopping by and grabbing a bite to eat and a coffee, even if it is to-go. read more

This is a high end and very popular Filipino coffee shop in Union NJ. Let's forget Starbucks for a while. We went and decided to try their Cassava Latte, Ube Latte, Ensaymada Cruffin and Ube Champorado Croissant. They tasted unique and delicious. Servers are friendly and kind. Nice ambiance. Pricey and very limited parking. I have no idea why the owners chose this place, but young people frequently come here not to hang out but they love the items they offer for sale. Their customers are only allowed a maximum of 1 hr to dine, since they have small area for dine in. Hoping that they open branches to other places in NJ. Godspeed Ayala Coffee. read more

This place is so cute! The ube croissant was so fresh! The croissant surprisingly had a lot of ube filling. The croissant weighed like 2lbs. The spam sandwich included an egg, hash brown, cheese and spam. A very filling sandwich! Just not that there is not a lot of seating so it's only an hour per sitting. read more

I really like this place and always thought they had the best coffee in Union! However, my last two experiences have been below average. I spent 30 minutes to order a latte because their supply chain logistics aren't nailed down. The flow of the line is backwards, so you're cutting through the line to get your drink! Their vanilla latte is undrinkably sweet and the regular latte I ordered is burning hot. read more
