They bake fresh baugettes every morning right in the store. These are my favorite baguettes from anywhere around here. I also like that their imported cheeses are pre-trimmed with no waste, no rind or wax to cut off and throw away. Barth's has a great selection of imported condiments, sauces, mustards, German chocolate bars and cookies. Their frozen ravioli is also very good. I always have some of that in my freezer for an easy meal.

This was one of the words the urchins taught me. But I want to share this anecdote. Kid comes in and wants to buy some candy. It's not enough to use a credit card, below their minimum. He doesn't have enough cash. This causes a fight. A fight? Yes. They want him to take it and pay them tomorrow. He doesn't want to take it. They won't let him leave until he does. He reluctantly takes it repeatedly promising he will bring the money tomorrow. They shrug. Shrug I tell you. She tells me, "He's a nice kid he comes in all the time. His brother comes in." These aren't homemade, special family recipe...these are restaurant depot type resales....they are fine and tasty but for the price being charged, I expect something special. Many food trucks charge this much and more and I am happy to pay it when it seems like something unique and special and not something I can pick up from a frozen section of a food store. Just beware of the prices... i ordered and was shell shocked when I heard the total but still was hopeful my socks would be knocked off. Needless to say...they stayed firmly in place.
