We attended a wedding in Morristown Museum, NJ on 10/22/2022. They hired the bestttt caterers ever! We were definitely well fed unlike other weddings we've been to! Loved their staff who were super friendly! They came and offered us more food without any hesitation and thattttttt was a plus, my friend! We loveddd their shrimp cocktails and their mini meatballs! Love that everything was individually plated while being passed around! Their stationary appetizers weren't too shabby neither, got a great selection of cheeses. Perfect for us, cheese lovers. DA catered my companies picnic today and I was disappointed. After hearing such amazing reviews, I just knew we were in for some finger licking good food. Well, that's NOT what we got. The burgers were well done on the outside and raw on the inside. I bit down into my burger and saw nothing but blood! We notified one of the workers about the raw burgers but he seemed very confused. Language barrier maybe?? The chicken was smothered in sauce but lacked flavor. It also could've cooked a little bit longer as it was a task getting the meat off the bone. Raw chicken will kill you so we trashed it. The macaroni salad was tasty but the potato salad was bland. Everything was a hot mess on the tables. The staff was uninterested in making things look presentable or throwing away the 6 empty ketchup bottles on the condiment table. I can't say enough at all. We came once and are hooked. I would come every single day if I could. This place is easily easily 5 stars. Not only would they make whatever you want, you can taste how fresh the ingredients are. They have so much selection. From salads to meats to sandwiches, I've never ordered an item that's wasn't phenomenal. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They remember my order and even make a sauce for me on request. You can order in or walk in and you won't wait too long ever; even mid lunch. The place is decorated so nicely and there is outdoor seating. Some cool vintage pinball machines inside and other old items make it such a nice feel. I will forever recommend this place to anyone in this area. read more

The food here is quite good. Better than Cullins in Florham Park. I had David Alan cater a baby shower for me a few years ago, and they did a good job. Most of the time, however, I stop by just to pick-up a salad for lunch or dinner. Their salads are delicious and, as another reviewer noted, they're big enough for 2 people or 2 meals. My only complaint, and the reason that I deducted one star, is that David Alan's hours change a lot; and no matter what closing time is posted on their door, the staff will close-up early if they want to. If the door says closing time is 4:00 pm, I expect them to be open until then. However, on more that one occasion, I've arrived at ~3:40 to find the place dark and the door locked. David Alan Caterers just catered our office event for Administrative Assistant's Day and we were all very impressed. Many had never tried red quinoa before but they are all fans now! The steak cut like butter and was cooked to perfection! Chicken was also delicious, as was the pasta salad and green salad - and the SHRIMP --- so perfectly seasoned!! And the freshest fruit!!! I got my first #sandwich from here. I got the Morris ($7.50) Grilled portobello mushrooms, fresh mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes, balsamic dressing on foccacia. Good texture on the shrooms. The flavors blended perfectly. The balsamic was a good quality because it was not bitter like the lower end ones. I plan on returning to check out the rest of the offerings. Salads and hot specials looked very good. The prices seemed reasonable compared to the competition. The dining room looked very nice, but I got take out. Can't wait to go back. read more

Had my sons party catered through them. Nice staff over the phone, professional. The food was great! They give you everything! We had the carnival themed party, the burgers was fantastic, gourmet with all the fixings. The only thing I wish I would've known prior to picking up my order is that they don't put the burgers and hot dogs together. You have to bun everything. But they give you enough trays to do so. Also, piece of advice get your final total before you hang up. I knew about how much it would be, always good to ask. read more

This is a great local spot for a quick and healthy lunch in the EH area. Daily specials are always tempting but I'm a big fan of the Whitestone sandwich (shrimp salad with havarti and mesclun on a croissant) and the sliced london broil sandwich (the name is escaping me now - I think the Essex). I usually opt for some grilled chicken or grilled shrimp with steamed or grilled veggies at lunch time. It's about 6.95 and you get a lot of food! Salads are huge (last me two meals) and delicious. There are so many dressings to select from - I love the greek dressing and the pesto vinaigrette. It's def. worth a trip! read more

Second time getting their lunch at our office and it was a last minute order, but they were able to fill our order politely and quickly, and everyone loved the food. Plentiful and delicious, with fresh pasta and salad, cookies and soda, I love that they set everything up for us. Sadly I cannot concur with most of these reviews giving their questionable billing practices. My company had used their services on a number of occasions, however recently we placed a sandwich order for 25 people and were told we would be called in the afternoon with a price quote which I expected to be in the $250 price range. The call never came and when the food was delivered the next day I was shocked by the $500 bill. I called them the next day and argued that had they quoted me a price I could have had the chance to rectify the error. They refused to take responsibility. I emailed Mr. Alan himself who assured me that he would look into the matter further. It has now been more than 2 months and he never responded. I would stay away regardless of the quality of their food as they have misleading order practices and did not confirm the price of the order in advance to allow it to be verified. read more

We used DAC for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah, and from beginning to end, nothing but a great experience. Unlike others in the business, DAC works with any budget, getting creative in menus to make the event like no other. From the planning to the actual event, working with DAC was seamless. The food was utterly fantastic, what you'd expect from a Michelin rated restaurant. At the end of the day, the staff "gets it" and makes the event from a food standpoint one to remember.
