We were hired to create two balloon arches at this venue within the same week. During our first visit on a weekday, our experience was excellent. The maître d' was welcoming, respectful, and made sure we had everything we needed. He explained the venue's expectations regarding the floors and walls, and treated us professionally from start to finish. Unfortunately, our second visit on a Saturday was completely different. As soon as we unloaded our vehicle and arrived upstairs, the owner, Peter, approached us with a noticeably cold and unfriendly attitude. Instead of introducing himself or welcoming us, his first comments were asking who we were there for and warning us not to scratch the floors or walls. We politely explained that we had just worked at the venue earlier that week and had already been informed of those guidelines. He walked away abruptly, then returned and said he was "just doing his job," offering what felt like a half-hearted apology. Throughout the setup, we felt uncomfortable and closely monitored. At one point, while I was bringing additional supplies in from the car, I noticed him watching me and then pulling a staff member aside to whisper something. The interaction left us feeling unwelcome and singled out. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that every other staff member we encountered was kind, professional, and genuinely pleasant to work with. They treated us with courtesy and respect, which made the contrast even more noticeable. As vendors, we expect to be treated professionally while doing our jobs. Unfortunately, this visit left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome despite our previous positive experience at the same venue.

The service was very friendly and appreciated throughout the entire night. The cocktail hour was one of the better ones I attended. There was a raw bar, taco station, pasta station, sushi station, etc. My favorite items tried were the sliced beef and chicken in a waffle cone. The beef was cooked to a medium rare temperature and extremely flavorful. The chicken in a waffle cone was a great balance of sweet and spicy with a good amount of chicken in the cone. The sushi was decent at best, while the stuffed rigatoni was tasty too. The raw bar was a little underwhelming as I was not a fan of the raw oysters, but I did not try everything so maybe I just had a few poor ones. The first course of the night was the estate signature salad. It contained arugula, baby greens with julienne apples and an aged white wine vinaigrette. It was topped with caramelized walnuts and manchego cheese. It was a well put together salad. All the toppings complimented one another nicely especially the cheese and vinaigrette. For an entrée, I had the chateaubriand. It was roasted in a cabernet sauce and garnished with caramelized scallops. There was also a side of asparagus, carrots, and potatoes. The asparagus was fine, but the carrots were too hard. The potatoes were not too bad either, very creamy and packed with rosemary I believe. They actually asked for a temperature, which was unusual at a wedding. I asked for medium rare, and it came out a touch over, but not too big of a deal. It was a nice sized portion with just enough flavor. I also tried the salmon Oscar, which was topped with lump crabmeat and a cream sauce. The salmon and crabmeat were both too dry unfortunately. There needed to be more seasoning present as well. I also tried the chicken caprese, which was stuffed with mozzarella cheese and pesto served with roasted cherry tomatoes with vodka sauce. This was another solid tasting dish, great layers from the filing in the chicken. Finally, I also tried the spinach and ricotta stuffed eggplant with a tomato-basil sauce. This was another satisfying dish and was not too heavy like I thought it might be. This had great flavor. Will I go back? Yup.

Still, we made the decision to bring in an expert to elevate our ideas and bring them to life the right way. After attending a wedding expo, we felt overwhelmed. We interviewed several planners. From our first meeting, Stacey removed every fear we had. She listened carefully. She understood our vision. She gave us structure, direction, and confidence from day one. For a full year, Stacey and her team guided us through every step. She managed everything. From our stationery to the napkins. From the overall theme to the décor with the florist. She coordinated vendors, negotiated contracts, and kept every moving part aligned. Everything was handled in a timely fashion. Nothing was rushed. Nothing was late. Every detail landed exactly when it needed to. She saved us money. She saved us time. She eliminated stress. I am someone who likes control. It was hard for me to hand the reins over to someone else. But it was extremely liberating to watch an experienced professional take charge. I stopped worrying about logistics. I started enjoying the process. That shift changed everything for us. Our wedding was one week after Christmas. While most people were still in holiday mode, Stacey was in constant communication with vendors. She stayed ahead of issues we did not even know existed. She protected the timeline and kept everything moving. During wedding week, Stacey and her team went above and beyond. They showed up early. They followed through. They anticipated needs before anyone had to ask. On the wedding day, everything ran like a Swiss watch. The timing was precise. The transitions were seamless. We were able to stay present and enjoy every moment because Stacey was executing behind the scenes. We feel blessed to have had Stacey guide us through this journey. She became more than our planner. She became a true friend, and she will remain one. If you are feeling overwhelmed like we once did, trust Stacey. She has the experience, the network, and the leadership to deliver at the highest level. We wish Stacey and her team nothing but continued success. Love, Melissa & Duff

Very disappointed with lack of communication, lack of details and professionalism…read more I attempted to rate this company in 2021, but Stacy deleted it, so hopefully this review will stick. We wasted thousands of dollars hiring Stacy. At first she was attentive towards my daughter, but as time went by she lost interest. The one time we really needed help with her dress, and she didn't return my call. In fact as the MOB she never acknowledged me the day of the wedding except when I asked to move the cards to a safer spot at reception in which she gave me an attitude. Don't expect her to be at the venue the morning of when the bride shows up or stay until the end. She shows up later to take a picture of rings etc with some fake flowers. ( not my daughters). Also, don't bother using the paper company next door. Little black dress. Hugh rip off. I sat at a table next to the owner, who never looked at me never mind acknowledge the person filling her bank account. Bottom line my daughter could have done all the planning herself. The planner at your venue is all you need. Don't waste your money .

I am a very controlling person and I was afraid to let someone else take the reins but with them I knew it was all going to be fabulous and extraordinary. I trusted them immediately with it all. The service they offer is top notch and we got exactly what we paid for and more. My Husband was just as involved in the planning process as I was and he could not thank them enough for all they did. We followed all their instructions about when we needed things accomplished and it was a breeze. They were there with us every step of the way. I had the most wonderful, unstressful year of planning a wedding. I think back now and know I could not have done this without them. They kept us on our wedding budget by moving our numbers around so we could have every single thing on our wedding wish list. They have the best connections in the wedding industry and they hooked us up with some amazing, outta this world vendors that understood our style. My Bellissima's attention to detail from the stationary (save the dates, wedding invitations, day of stationary), welcome boxes, favors, centerpieces and table linens to our amazing cake was executed beautifully with extra details I didn't even know could exist. It told our story and that is the best thing about these two Ladies.. they tell your story. Each and every wedding they do is special and one of a kind. That's the service you will be getting when you hire My Bellissima. Our wedding day was beyond amazing - beyond fantastic. We walked into our ballroom and it said it all. I was literally in tears. I could not believe what I was seeing was our wedding. They had accomplished exactly what we wanted, that WOW wedding from the purple tones, glam and romantic, over the top with fireworks (literally) and of course, BLING. Words can never express how wonderful and amazing these gals are but hire them and you will be one happy bride. 5 stars is not enough for them. I would give them the whole universe! She is absolutely amazing and will help craft an event that is better than you could have imagined. She has been such a pleasure to work with, and would highly recommend her. Let me back up and give you some context. My husband and I knew we wanted to get married in NJ on my uncle's farm. The only problems with that were that we lived across the country in Portland and we didn't have a building to have the ceremony in. My husband and I also both worked full time jobs. We began to realize that we'd have some time constraints on our hands and hiring a wedding planner might not be a bad idea. After reading some reviews online, I reached out to a few planners and set up a couple of introductory calls to hear about their services and experiences. When I started talking to different wedding planner, every one of them started off by telling me about all of their packages and what was included in their service. Lindsay was different. Unlike the other planners who immediately went into their sales pitch, Lindsay wanted to hear our story and what we wanted in our wedding. It seemed like she genuinely wanted to help us create our special day, not just give us a cookie cutter list of services. This was such a refreshing and personal way of approaching wedding planning. I knew from that minute that I wanted her to plan my wedding. Lindsay of Simply Sunshine Events is an amazing events planner, coordinator, and event designer. She covers a wide array of events, from wedding and baby showers to corporate events and fundraisers. And every single review that I read about the company was simply glowing. Not only is she professional, candid, creative, and helpful, but she just seemed like someone who I would work well with. Ironically we both grew up super close to one another, so we instantly clicked on that part of our past. Even without that connection, I knew that we would get along well. We decided to get help on both the design portion as well as the planning portion of our wedding. I'm really not the most creative person in the world and I felt like we needed help putting together the overall vision. We were presented with a personalize design brief with a couple of different options. Once we decided on a vision, Lindsay was able to pick out vendor options that she thought would work well with the venue and overall theme. It was so much less overwhelming being able to choose out of a couple of highly recommended vendors than to have to choose from everyone in the area. Which leads me to another important thing that Lindsay brought to the table: experience. Not only has she worked with all of these people before, but she has seen all the ins and outs of doing a wedding at a "home" venue. Initially, we thought it would be more cost efficient and easier to have an at home wedding. However, it turns out that this makes the whole planning process much more difficult since we had to not only style a wedding but actually create a venue. Lindsay instantly knew all the things we needed to look into - a tent, flooring, a generator, bathrooms, the list goes on and on. She provided us super detail specific timelines of when we should do each task, as well as supplemental tools to assist us along the way. With Lindsay's help, my husband and I made a lot of the big decisions pretty early on in the planning process. I completely trusted Lindsay's opinion on vendors and that really worked out well for us. We had amazing food and cake tastings, had a florist meeting on site that was spot on, and have a Chaplain who gave me chills when going through ceremony options. The best part about the whole deal is that Lindsay can sometimes get her clients special discounts with vendors that she works with regularly, and passes those deals directly to her clients. Some planners will take those discounts as profits, but Lindsay has an awesome system where she charged us one flat fee for everything listed in her contract and helped us save money elsewhere. She was a huge help in constructing our budget and sticking to it. Overall, I'm so glad we worked with Simply Sunshine for both the planning and design part of our wedding. The wedding went off beautifully and I was so glad I could just relax and be fully present on the wedding day. Even though there was threat of rain all the way up to the actual day, we were able to execute a plan B (extra tents for the ceremony and cocktail hour) that most people had no idea was actually not what we originally intended. I was so thankful to have such an amazing team of vendors backing me up through the preparation and actual day, even when we threw curve balls at them. Simply Sunshine Events has made this whole planning process less stressful than I was initially expecting, and made our wedding day more amazing than I ever could have hoped for.
