Really small mom and pop shop in downtown Summit. It was my first visit here last week to get special candy for a baby shower. The owner, Donna, was there and willing to help with whatever I wanted. I bought a dark chocolate covered pretzel with m&ms and a large dark chocolate peanut butter cup. Both were yummy and delicious. For an alternative shower favor, I purchased some jelly belly jelly beans. Everything was super fresh and tasty. Just be careful about the shop location...it is tucked in between a few shops and you have to pay attention to find this little gem! read more

What a wonderful little shop, packed full of any sweet thing you could ever want! Walking by one night with our grandson when we were visiting town on our way to see the Statue of Liberty, he noticed this shop. Of course we decided to go in because we're grandparents and we indulge our grandkids like that. But the door was locked so we moved on, but our grandson lingered, taking in the sights of all that deliciousness just out of reach. Well, just then Donna, the owner, came to the door and opened up the shop for us! What a sweetheart! We found exactly what we all wanted (my husband likes the old-style candy that's hard to find and my grandson likes the sweet and sour stuff) and had a wonderful conversation with Donna and the other nice lady behind the counter. OMG!! These people are the most amazing chocolate shop! I live out of state, and my mom was having a rough day due to the weather. So I thought, the best way to cheer her up is to send her chocolates! I called up Sweet Nothings and spoke with Elisa, who was so friendly and willing to help me with my mission! She gave me some great ideas and within minutes put together a beautiful package at a very reasonable price. My mom receive the delivery within A few hours and put the BIGGEST smile on her face! Not only that, but my mom said how delicious the chocolates are and loved the variety. I am writing this review because I was so happy and pleased with my purchase of a sweet tooth basket that i had asked to be made up for a icu nurse and her team at overlook...Donna is the nicest and most helpful person...the nurse were surprised and thankful and said the basket was beautifully assembled..... I have also seen Donna engaged with the kids from middle school, especially on a Friday after school and she is so nice and patient with them. This little shop is so cute. They have a wide variety of candy, including types that a safe for people with allergies. They also have other cute trinkets. In the summer for example, they have floats and pool noodles. Candy is reasonably priced. There is a vintage gumball machine which is a must try. You'll probably get more than 1 gumball, and you have the chance to win a capsule. The little capsules are worth a couple dollars in the store. The ladies behind the counter are very friendly. Stopped in to bring my brother some Chocolate as he was in Overlook Hospital. I bought several boxes for my brother, my Father and me! Good chocolate and very friendly staff. They are very close to Overlooks Neuro Center, and parking was easy. My brother really enjoyed the Chocolates and my Dad loved the dark chocolate bark and rasberry jellys. Normally, I would go online and order a gift basket for a holiday. This coming Easter holiday, I had a senior moment and I forgot to made any order. I then check out the reviews for Sweet Nothings. Needless to say, I was impressed. With the help of my GPS, I went to the store. Finding a parking space was hard, but it was worth the trip. I told them what I was looking for ( 2 Easter gift baskets for adult), and they went out of their way to help me. They made me feel like I was an old customer of their. Donna may be the most amazing woman I have ever met. I was looking to get some last minute sweets for my daughter and mother and Donna took the time to make me feel like a local celebrity. She greeted me warmly and kindly and proceeded to give me thoughtful details about all my selections. She even let me know about another local shop where I could find a stuffed animal I was looking for. I've never had such a fantastic experience at a retail store during a busy holiday afternoon. Donna and her staff are the best!!! Besides having a HUGE selection of chocolate (including Moonstruck and Lake Champlain brands), candy (including hard-to-find retro candy and numerous Jelly Belly flavors) and NUT-FREE treats , they also sell an array of beautiful home goods (candles, linens, etc.) that make for wonderful housewarming or hostess gifts--the staff will even create a gorgeous gift basket for you!
