Right in the heart of Westfield downtown, strolling past it after dinner and couldn't stop myself. Tons of variety for chocolate fans, they sell chocolate coated everything - pretzels, popsicles, Graham crackers, Oreos and rice krispies to name a few ! My eyes were on the Gelato however, the staff were friendly. Tried a few flavors and went for half and half of Vanilla caramel & Strawberry chocolate truffle. The flavors were subtle, not extra sweet, just the right amount. However I cut down 2 stars since the texture felt more like a lighter/skinnier icecream than a traditional Gelato. It lacked the thickness and creaminess that you get in a Gelato. But nice spot, great portions and value for money !! read more

Decided to try The Chocolate Bar after dinner today. As a lover of sweets, this place was one I figured I had to try. I am honestly disappointed. Although this could be a good spot for tweens on a date or families with picky little ones, I found this place to be lacking. It does have a nice "hip, modern" ambiance to it befitting Westfields younger demographic, but that's all you'll get out of it. The staff was friendly and let us taste the ice cream. However, it was lacking and simply tasted store bought. If you're wanting to try this spot, by all means go ahead! I will however be passing up a retry! Enjoy! read more

The place smelled amazing and the gelato was great. Too bad the service was horrible. I was there with 6 of my family members. One paid for everyone and left a nice tip. When they gave my dad his espresso at the register, he didn't use the lid and accidentally left it at the counter. All of a sudden we hear one of the workers yelling very rudely to pick up trash. We didn't understand what was going on at first because all we heard/saw was the attitude and yelling. She eventually went around the counter and got in our faces, yelling about the "trash" he left at the counter. Once we realized what was going on, we were shocked that an unused lid caused such a commotion. She started to complain to other customers about us and then eventually followed us outside and kept yelling and asked for my dad's name. Once again, it was an unused lid and he didn't even realize was left on the counter. It was an honest mistake. This girl could have easily put it back or nicely asked him. She was insanely rude with such a horrible attitude that was SO uncalled for. This is such a shame to find this kind of negativity in this town. I also noticed her having an attitude towards someone else when we first walked in. Never coming back. read more

This was a walk up and order window with menus scattered about. What we got was very good. Chocolate covered strawberries, peanut butter marshmallows, chocolate covered pretzels and Turtles. I will definitely revisit to try other things another time. They had ice cream options as well. A pretty good list of flavors to choose from. We stopped in here after our date night in Westfield. We were craving gelato and I was excited that they had so many delicious flavors. They offer samples, but I decided to go for the hazelnut chocolate. It was really delicious and the girl gave me a generous scoop with my sugar cone. I didn't have any time to take a photo of my gelato as I ate it all before it melted, but it was so tasty and refreshing! There were a lot of peanut butter cup pieces which was great! A small cup comes with two scoops and is very reasonably priced. This is one of my favorite places in Westfield. I've been going for years and the quality is always great. I usually get the gelato from here. The Roche is my favorite and tastes like a Ferrero Roche. The works is really great and is chock full of mix ins like oreos, cookie dough, chocolate chips, and sprinkles. You can also do an affogato here (at least pre Covid) and add a shot of espresso to the gelato. I definitely recommend this place for all your sweet tooth needs read more

Absolutely disgraceful customer service. After a nice dinner, my family stops in for gelato and couple hot espressos. After bringing the staff what I thought to be well-deserved customers, and leaving a tip, my grandfather accidentally left the lid to his espresso on the counter. He apologized, but not before a female employee rudely tells him off, shoving a finger past his head to point at a garbage can, although there was one right next to her behind the counter. After complaining about him to the next set of customers, she proceeds to leave the store, and follow him down the block, demanding his name and personal information. Some of the worst service I've ever seen, and I hope that said employee learns to avoid unnecessary confrontation. Gelato was decent though, and I feel bad for the rest of the staff, considering how cordial and polite they were. read more

You'll see chocolates in every variation and permutation known to man, plus gelatos, sorbets, chocolate based espresso drinks, chocolate pretzels, cookies, truffles, turtles, brownies, biscottis and chocolate dipped strawberries. I had a small dish of their Stracciatella gelato - a very good vanilla gelato with thin chocolate flakes. It was outstanding!! So creamy and decadent and they have over two dozen unique flavors. I ordered what I normally would from Starbucks...what I get once a month because Starbucks costs Madbucks...a VentiMochaFrapNoWhip. But I took out the 'venti' part. Kei$ha (the girl at the counter, she told me her name, but I can't remember it...the drink she gave me gave me short term memory loss, it was so good and she looked like Kei$ha) told me they didn't make fraps. However, she would try and 'build' me one. She took about 8 minutes...but it was worth it. So good. SO GOOD. That meant a lot to me. Since then, I've had their ice cream...that is just as good as the service Kei$ha provided me with that summer day. I had a drink that will never exist again. This place is amazing. Everything is home made. My fiance had an amazing latte. The owner ended up asking if he wanted special additions that we didn't even think of (my fiance got the cinnamon!) I got an fresh hot spiced cider, I've always loved cider and was excited to find this one so pleasing. The gelato was no overly sweet and very flavorful. It was a wonderful experience for a fall day! The owner was funny and extremely friendly. He greeted us very joyously asking if we had questions. He took a lot of pride in his items emphasizing that theu were handmade. I was thoroughly impressed. He even got into a conversation with us about he has always meant to make choco covered bacon buy hadn't gotten around to it.
