There were so many amazing macaron flavors I had never seen before (i.e champagne, rose lychee, lavender, earl grey tea). These macarons were some of the best I've had - the perfect amount of filling and the cookie was fluffy and soft. I got 14 different flavors, but my favorites were the champagne and the rasberry. The storefront is so aesthetically pleasing, which is what initially put this spot on my radar as I was passing through Cranford. The outside is painted pink and decorated with pink flowers and pink tables. The inside is just as cute - so cozy and elegant! Definitely will be coming here again for the macarons, but will be making my way through their pastries, cakes, and sandwiches as well. As soon as I walked in, the delicious aroma of fresh baked sweet goodies infused me, even with a double mask on. The window display is so cute with rustic wooden trays each holding a different variety of croissants. Inside you'll find beautiful and unique pastries. I had the almond croissant- filled with an almond paste and buttery soft layers of dough, it was really delicious. The ends of the croissant were the best parts where I savored the flaky, crusty corners. I also tried the hazelnut pastry- it's like eating the pastry version of a ferrero rocher chocolate. Finally got a chance to try this place. I'm quite close, and wish that I'd come sooner. The Macarons were fairly good. They are not the best that I've had, but price was decent @ 12 for $25. There was a large variety of flavors. The presentation was nice, so would be good for a gift. We got a few small pastries/cakes, and those were really good. Better than most of the local bakeries in presentation and taste in my opinon. Each item was $5.5 which I think is reasonable given the quality. And apparantly they can make bigger versions of anything... you just need to order in advance. I believe you just tell them the # of people and they make the appropriate size (and the price is 5.5 pp). read more

My favorite cake flavor is the Caraibe (passionfruit) while my husband's favorite is the Framboises A La Pistache (raspberry and pistachio). There is also a menu attached to the window so you can look at it before you order. The employees are very friendly and took safety measures for proper social distancing. I got 6 macarons for $2.50 each. I chose the flavors: dairy-free mango, passionfruit, rose lychee, strawberry poppies, lavender, and cotton candy. Out of the 6 flavors, I think I like lavender the most because it has a strong lavender flavor that I really love. I would say the flavors all have strong flavoring to it and taste amazing. So I finally came to this place after having it bookmarked in yelp for over a year. I suddenly had a sweet tooth and decided to take the 20min drive. The place is small and cute. I went around 4 so most of the fresh pastries I saw online were gone. They had a few desserts too. The ladies behind the counter were really nice and patient. They took the time ti explain everything to me. Everything looked good. My only con is that most of the desserts they had, had either chocolate, hazelnuts, or nuts in it. No i am not allergic, but I wanted variety and not be in a chocolate coma because I adore chocolate. I really wanted the "nutella bread" ive been seeing on yelp but they stated the baker hasnt made it for a while. I dont remember the names of the desserts but one was raspberry cheesecake, dark chocolate mousse, and a chocolate eclair. All were perfect. It was stale and some how tasted like the butter had turned when it was made. I immediately spit it out and threw out the rest. It cost over $5 +tip and was a very disappointing experience. I have been back and forth about trying this spot and decided I finally would. When I walked in I began looking around. They had all kinds of sweets around. I asked a few questions with a nice young man. I had my eye on a peach tart and went with it. The only thing I didn't like was it was exposed and not covered like some of the other items. Let me start by saying, EVERYTHING I had here is absolutely delicious! The reason for 3 stars is the service I received today. I placed a custom birthday cake over the phone two days ago (June 3rd) I went to the store on June 5th around 11:30AM to pick up the cake. The cake was not yet ready as they had to wirte "Happy Birthday" on the cake. No big deal. As I waited near all the delicious bakery items. I ask the young lady at the counter for help. I wanted to purchase additional items. I felt she was annoyed at my request, but she reluctantly helped me. This is something new. I have not had any problems at this store before. I felt I was bothering her by asking her to do her job. I was the only customer in the store at the time so I could not observe how she interacted with other customers. I will give her the benefit of the doubt. She may be having a bad day or didn't want to be at work. It may be an one off situation. As a paying customer I felt I did not receive the customer experience we normally get here. This experience left a bad aftertaste for me. Personally I will not be coming back. While everything here is delicious, I expect the service to match the product they are selling. Everyone else was delightful and helpful. read more

This amazing French patisserie is a real gem in downtown Cranford. Raja spent a lot of time explaining their delights to me. The café prepares croissant sandwiches, along with a full espresso bar. They also have gelato and sorbet from a Brooklyn gelateria. The huge variety of their popular macarons are bought in, because they can't have a gluten-free kitchen in their tiny space, but their beautiful French pastries, croissants, brioches, and baguettes are baked fresh daily by the chef, and are as close to Paris as you can get right now. read more

Oh my goodness, this place deserves all of the hype. I had Le Caraibe (passion fruit) and it was one of the best things I ever put in my mouth. You have to have a forkful of all of the elements together because the pâtisserie chef here absolutely knows what he's doing. It's so perfectly put together, tasting almost like a limoncello pastry but one million times better. Side note -- make sure you refrigerate the pastries and whatnot that you get! The employees inside too are so sweet and personable. They're French and it shows that they know exactly what they're doing in there. On top of that, this place is right in the heart of downtown and is so well-kept and adorable. It's a little shoppe but with a good number of inside and outdoor tables (when it's not COVID times). I was there the day they opened and fell in love immediately with the bright cafe and felt like I was whisked away to France. The croissants and pain au chocolat are so, so good there. And of course, the macarons are wonderful! They have so many fantastic flavors and every one I've had is filled with the perfect amount of filling and the cookies are magical. The mini dessert was passion for mousse with a mango compote, Coconut sponge, and white crunch. I eat the entire thing in one sitting it was absolutely delectable. So airy and just the right amount of sweet with the fruit. I ordered a cake the day before as well and for $40 this cake is an absolute steal. It was a vanilla mousse, with a cream Brulé Vanilla chocolate sponge , and a white chocolatey crunch. The cake was beautiful as well as delicious I had three pieces in one day (happy birthday to me!). The chef even came out to show me the cake before boxing it. Parking is easy in the neighborhood. The front window of the shop is certainly eye catching with the pastries displayed across the window...letting the food do the talking! I ordered a macchiato and a small sampling of macaroons and sat outside to just chill a bit. The macchiato was delicious and so were the macarons. The interior has 1 glass cases of just macaroons and separate one for decadent looking desserts. I know I would get myself into trouble ordering so I just stuck with the macarons.
