Today we drove down to Morristown's #armory to experience Dessertopia! There was a wide variety of vendors. Everything looked fantastic! We met Steph aka Dr Tran she makes these amazing macarons ! We had to get some and I even picked one for my husband since it's his year this lunar new year, the year of the snake! She was so cool and nice! Super talented! And if a visit to dessertopia gave any cavities she's also a dentist !
I was captured by her beautiful and colorful macarons. Such cute characters and great flavors. Her personality and service is great as well. I highly recommend her macarons. I tried her custom made dragon bento macaron cake for my son. Pistachio flavor was on point. Perfect crunchiness and softness. It's perfect for a small gathering we cut into multiple slices for my family. The ube macaron flavor was also perfect. I also highly recommend the unreleased Dubai chocolate macaron. Worth it. Definitely give her macarons a try! She has plenty of flavors for everyone. Support small business owners.
I FINALLY MADE IT TO ONE OF HER POP-UP LOCATION!!! First thing first!! Follow her on Instagram!! So you know where she will have her pop up location, and her menu ahead of time!! Do make it easy when you are on a long line waiting and you know exactly what you want!!! I tried 6 of her macarons today!! Taro milk tea, Thai tea, Black sesame, Lavender earl grey, Turon, and ube creme bulee!! Ube and Thai tea was my favorite!!! Yes they are not cheap, but they are pretty good!!! She also do custom order, and classes!!! It seem fun!!!
I can not say enough great things about Steph's Macarons. I discovered her pop ups via Yelp and I've been back two other times to get her delicious macarons. Not only are they super cute and pretty on the outside but they are slightly crunchy and then super soft and delicious on the inside. I absolutely adore all the different flavors she offers - from cookies and cream to ube to pistachio to cinnamon toast crunch to taro to thai tea to even cheddar! (I have yet to try the cheddar macaron). And so many more flavors I didn't list! My kids and I love going to her pop ups which are usually in different ice cream or coffee shops. She has such a beautiful display and my kids love choosing the different characters they want to buy and devour. My daughter's faves are any chocolate macarons and the cinnamon toast crunch ones. My son loves the cookies and cream and ube flavors. My favorite? Basically ALL of them. Steph is also so so kind and patient. She always greets us with a smile and gives us the time we need to pick out the perfect macarons to feast upon. Thank you Steph for the delicious macarons and for all your pop ups! We hope to see you again soon!
I discovered Steph's Macarons at a popup at Femme in Hackensack NJ back in August 2023. From seeing her stylish trending macarons and trendy flavors (ube, taro, Thai tea, chocolate ganache, Dubai chocolate kunafa), I started following her. A plethora of macaron selections on her menu. And if you love macarons that much, she even offers a macaron baking class! What more can she offer?! If you are in the NJ/NYC area, highly recommend taking her macaron baking class or following her at a pop-up! Her instagram (@stephsmacarons) has up to date pop-ups, menus, and availability. Give her a follow!
Beautiful and tasty macarons by Steph! Steph is a star being a dentist by day and macaron baker and artist by night. When you get a dozen you get to have a little tasting of everything! My husband and I were eyes open wide with how delicious the Turon Macaron was, banana caramelized macaron who knew! The strawberry crunch cake macaron was also my favorite and my family members who love it all got a text, and they're all jealous because it's in NJ. This was so worth the drive from CT to check out the pop up and try these pretty macarons. I'll need to convince my Jersey family members to get these macarons for their next event!
I was excited to finally try out Steph's macarons and bought some at Kogarocon. Made sure we got there early to get the anime themed ones. Not only were they cute but tasted so good. You can taste the flavors really come through without it being overly sweet. The texture was perfect combo of soft/moist with crunch to the shell. We bought the combo that had a few from the different tiers of macarons. Really liked the ube crem brûlée, strawberry crunch, Samoa cookie, earl grey Totoro and lemon! My kids enjoyed the all the characters (Squirtle, dragon ball, poke ball, Cookie Monster). I felt bad biting Pikachu since he was sooo cute! I honestly like these over the French brand at short hills mall!
I finally had the chance to try Steph's Macarons and they had to be some of the best Macs I've ever tried. So soft and chewy and the filling was very flavorful. We tried the following flavors: dubai chocolate, cookies & cream, chocolate ganache, vanilla bean, raspberry, and cosmic brownie. They were all so tasty. My son, daughter and I devoured them. The designs are also really cute and fun. Our favorites were Mina, Jinu, Pikachu & the teddy bear. Steph was very sweet and helped us with our selection. She offered a huge variety of flavors. Will be showing up to the next popup.
Yum! We ordered 4 macarons (Ube, s'mores, taro milk tea, and strawberry) they were all really good and full of flavor. Prices were great and owner is super nice. Can't wait to try their character macarons next time. They have unique character macarons that would be great for a party as well.
They are so cute! We have been l looking to get them for weeks and finally got the time and snag one!

Steph makes the most beautiful and tasty macarons! She did a couple custom batches for my son and nieces's whale and Minnie Mouse macarons and they turned out so beautifully and delicious. We received many compliments from our party guests each time! Fantastic macarons !! read more

I finally got to try Steph's macarons at her last PopUp in beautiful Hudson Yards NYC! They were so good! Steph is so friendly and she makes the cutest character macarons with the best flavors. For Christmas, I booked a class for my kids to take a French macaron-baking class with Steph's Macarons. I was very impressed that they did such a great job and that the macarons came out well. The flavors they picked were: s'mores, pistachio, and creme brulee. Steph was such a great instructor -- very knowledgeable, down-to-earth, patient, and encouraging. And her macarons are pieces of delicious artwork! I definitely recommend taking this class as well as buying her macarons. read more

These macaroons were the best ones I've ever had! The character ones were so adorable and so tasty as well! Oh my deliciousness. I knew these macarons looked cute but they tasted even better! I follow Stephs Macarons on Ig and went to a pop up in Montclair and I'm so glad I did. My husband and I tried the Chai tea, matcha, cookies n cream, and strawberry crunch. Probably the most amazing and freshest macarons I've ever had. The strawberry crunch and Chai tea were next level. Everything sounds so tasty it's difficult only picking a few! Can't wait to try more and I highly recommend! read more

I cannot recommend Steph's Macarons any higher. I first came across her Instagram through different pop-ups that she has done in Jersey City. I contacted Steph for my future sister-in-law's bridal shower for two macaron towers. I was absolutely blown away! I cannot thank you enough for making the bridal party's vision come to life and creating such breathtaking desserts. Steph makes the process as seamless as possible. From the moment I inquired to pick-up time, Steph has shown me such professionalism and kindness throughout the whole process. She also sent step-by-step instructions, included with pictures, on how to re-create the tower setup. Thank you so much and can't wait for all the other pop-ups and baking classes. read more

Met Steph at an event and she was super sweet. I talked to her previously on social media about an order and she was very responsive and professional. Same as in person, she was very kind. At the event, she had macarons themed for the event as well as some other flavors and designs. You can tell she put her time with the flavoring of each treat as well as special detail with the designs. I almost didn't want to eat them because they looked so delicate and astonishing. I sincerely loved each and every flavor we ordered a box of 12 and each macaroon was a different flavor experience. I can't wait to visit for more! Thank you Steph read more

For someone who typically does not like macaron's, I thank Yelp for having me cross pathes with Steph's Macarons! I love that she doesn't make the typical looking macarons, and that they are not dry as most macarons that I have had in the past. They are truly soft to the bite, and have a pretty great quality taste to them. Speaking of not typical shaped macarons, seeing all the Harry Potter themed, made my Harry Potter loving heart bloom of excitement. How could I not get the sorting hat one, no less! I was fortunate that get my house color (GO SLYTHERIN!). The work and creativity that Steph puts into making her macarons, is an art. read more
