    Dulce de leche bakery

Love coming to Dulce de leche to purchase my favorite spinach/cheese puff pastry , so good with their perfect cup of coffee. Couldn't resist the sugar doughnuts and ham and cheese croissant. How wonderful is that breakfast, lunch and dessert all in one place Yea! There are several servers so wonderful attentions to your needs -great atmosphere as well .

I stopped by Dulce de Leche early on a Saturday morning to get breakfast with my girlfriend. The place is very spacious, modern, and clean. Service was friendly and quick. Unfortunately I was not impressed by the food. It was not bad at all, but for the price you pay, I expected more. I ordered the Choripan sandwich and a black coffee. The sandwich was just ok, it was saved by the chimichurri it was served with. It felt like I had way more bread than chorizo in each bite. The bread was pretty standard. This seems a little harsh but for $14 with a side of fries, I had high expectations. My girlfriend got Avocado Grilled Cheese. It seemed like she liked it. It looked pretty good. Our drinks were good. Judging by some of these Yelp reviews it looks like their pastry offerings are a lot better. I'd come back to try them.

My wife and I had dinner nearby on a Thursday night. Wanted coffee and a bit of dessert before heading to a concert. Found Dulce de Leche on Yelp and knew it was what I was looking for. Place is big, modern, clean, bright, and has ample comfortable seating. Service was professional and the woman working behind the counter gave us advice regarding the right desserts to pick for our first time there. My wife enjoyed an iced chai, the flavors were very nice. I had a very solid Americano. I went with their alfajore cookie and also grabbed the chocolate covered alfajore cookie. The original alfajore was every bit as good as any I've ever had. The chocolate covered one was certainly decadent and I was glad I tried it but it was second to the original alfajore. Definitely glad we tried Dulce de Leche!

The chips that accompany the sandwich are so delicious. I was in for a treat and didn't expect them!! The food is generally high quality as well. The ingredients appear to be fresh. The cakes even look amazing. I'm just sensitive to sugar. But I'll make an exception one of these days!! Everything here is just as tasty as it looks.

Bright & spacious atmosphere. Plenty of dining-in seatings. Great chai latte and excellent sweet and savory pastries to choose from! Staff were friendly and efficient; food came within 10min.

I got their cinnamon latte drink unsweetned with almond milk and I loved the flavors. My sister got a lightly sweetened latte with oat milk and it was delicious as well. We got the chicken empanadas in the morning so they were still hot, crispy, and the meat was still juicy. Later, I came back and got their green drink and the sweet potato toast with goat cheese with the runny poached egg. It was different, but delicious and nutrient dense. I love how spacious the cafe was. I, definitely, will come back when I am in town.

Just can't get enough! There are always new items to try but their core Dulce de Leche cakes are our go to for celebrations! Their empanadas are baked and several different fillings, very tasty! Sandwiches are made to order and always served fresh and hearty portions! Nice staff! Clean and ample seating!

Update 12/14/24: Double check your receipts and pricing charge. It's a common trick used by employees to either charge you for an extra item or double charge so they can pocket the extra. Happens in dishonest businesses like some Ctown supermarkets but I'm shocked it's happening here. I would like to think it isn't the owners wrong doing but rather the employees. Feedback provided here so we can all see if the owner will care to ensure this never happens again. For my particular case, the first 2 line items were more than doubled in price. (0.85*4) (1.5*4) I usually don't ask for receipts and usually trust them but the math was off and it wasn't the first time it's happened.

Nice coffee shop in Englewood. It came highly recommended from some locals I know and I can see why. Pros: Good coffee. Lots of food options for breakfast and lunch. Lots of seating room and people around. Big, clean, spacious space. Cons: It was very busy when I came in and service wasn't personable like in many coffee shops. It looked like being fluent in Spanish helped some people get better service, but not others. Felt a bit like an assembly line and you needed to get your number and wait for your order. No gluten free options (if there are any, staff didn't know about them). Lunch menu not clearly advertised. There was a window with pastries and a busy menu in the back wall. I knew they had empanadas (not gluten free), but couldn't find them on menu. People kept getting others things I didn't see... not sure why it was that complicated. The place is big but was packed with no room to sit and there were "vultures" waiting for people to get up so they could jump at a table. Overall, it's a cute place with good coffee... but was too stressful for my blood. I ended up getting my coffee and taking it somewhere else. I am in the area a lot so will probably give them another shot. Maybe it was an off day for them...

    Many selections!

Such a great bakery! I haven't been in a while but I was insanely obsessed the first few times I visited. Highly recommended if you haven't been before!

What a lovely jersey gem! I thought it was related to the LA location and it's not but still very fun vibe! They have awesome breakfast sandwiches for $5, a plentiful supply of varying pastries, and ample seating! I got an iced chai latte and their signature dulce de leche stuffed croissant. While I would not recommend the chai (3/5, very average), the croissant was heavenly and not overly sweet! A great study spot of quick breakfast on the go!

Street parking; only a few seats to eat inside. Basically a To Go place. These empanadas were awesome!! Big & stuffed with a very nice crispy, fried shell. ( they offer mini sized empanadas too) There are many options of Savory fillings, but I wish they had more "sweet\dessert" types. Which brings me to my favorite: the Guava & Mozzarella Cheese empanada... Best one I've ever had. For upcoming St. Patricks Day (for a limited time) they have -- The Reuben- filled with Smoked Corned Beef, Swiss Cheese & Sauerkraut. EMPAN-TASTIC! Wish I had a beer. -the Cuban Pork empanada made with an 8-hours smoked pork, with ham and mozzarella was very good, but I wasn't a big fan of the Sweet Thai Chicken empanada with, sweet Thai chili sauce, scallion and cilantro.. Maybe I was full... The fries are old school. Reminded me of boardwalk fries. Some a little greasy. Some a little overcooked & crunchy.. So if you like empanadas, you need to give this place a shot.

The pork was smoked for several hours and it also includes ham and mozzarella cheese. Sweet Thai Chicken: It's time to try some Thai. Located on busy Teaneck Road in Teaneck, this husband/wife duo, with the husband being Cuban and the wife Puerto Rican, operates the hidden gem that translates from the Spanish meaning "my roots." The reservation was easily made by Google Assistant for Saturday dinner. Upon arrival at Mis Raices, a bigger location after 3 years for some of us, my partner, our friends, and I got a table by the window immediately inside a cozy island vibe filled with the wonderful smell of the home-style food, the beautiful souvenirs of Puerto Rico and Cuba, and the vibrant salsa music. The menu has been expanded since our last visit, so come hungry! For appetizers, we decided on the Croqueta De Jamón, Croqueta De Pollo, and Guava Empanada. As a main meal, we opted for Arroz Con Pollo (Chicken with Rice), Pechuga De Pollo (Chicken Breast) A La Plancha with Salad, Ropa Vieja (Shredded Beef) with Arroz Amarillo y Frijoles Negroes, and Oxtail/Rabo Encendido with Arroz con Gandules. Complimentary toasted garlic bread started our meal. The meal was beautifully presented. The flavors were tastefully delicious and pretty consistent, being rich and authentic. The portion was just right with the price very reasonable, and it's a BYOB. The owners, Ana and Eddie, and their staff make us feel welcome and are accommodating. We can continue to recommend this place.
