They also have a chocolate shop next door. When I walked inside of the bakery, I felt transported to a pastry shop in France. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was super busy. Service was quick and efficient. I ordered a latte and a scone. The scone was very delicious and fresh. My boyfriend ordered a frozen hot chocolate and a chocolate éclair. I tried a bit of the éclair and we both agreed that it was the star of the show. I normally am not a big éclair person but this one was so chocolatey and rich. It was filled with this creamy, fresh chocolate filling. I strongly dislike the store bought cream filling that they are usually piped with. We sat at one of the little tables on the sidewalk outside since the weather was nice. I will be back if I am in the area and in the mood for a sweet treat!

We snagged one as people were getting up. I got a napoleon and another dessert that was chocolate mouse with Carmel and a biscuit cookie on the bottom. It was soo good. Really fluffy but also creamy and rich. Highly recommend this place if you love chocolate! I spent near $30 for a small hot chocolate, a cookie, pastry and mini cake. So it is expensive! But worth it once in a while. And they have a bathroom in the back!

There was a bit of a line to order as the two girls in front of us were asking to try every flavor and you could even tell the staff helping them was getting frustrated. I would recommend a limit to how many flavors you can try and posted signage. I shouted over them asking if we could order because there was a long line and those girls were just being extremely rude and difficult to the staff and other customers waiting. Have to say the flavors at maroons are very impressive whether you get soft serve or hard ice cream you will not be disappointed. We got the pistachio and butter pecan. You can tell the genuine homemade ice cream consistency by the ice cream and most if not all flavors are gluten free and have no food coloring which is so hard to find nowadays. It definitely gets crazy on weekends now that the warmer weather is out and the portions a bit oversized but you will love whatever you end up ordering! The inside has tables and high top seating and in the warmer seasons they usually put a few tables outside as well.

My friends and I perused the menu before we went and they certainly have some unique offerings. The Asian-inspired flavors really piqued my interest (kulfi, masala chai, ube, etc.). Given how late it was the store wasn't too packed. Service was very friendly and the staff offered to have us sample the ice cream flavors. My friend and I opted for ice cream served in bubble waffles and the staff member informed me it would take a while because since it was so close to closing they only had 1 waffle maker going. They have such a wide variety of flavors so I'm sure you'll find something you like. I got a kulfi sundae and was very pleased with the how creamy it was. The bubble waffle was nice and fresh too. I tried my friends' ice creams and they were just as good. The place is spacious and clean. I could see myself coming back. Bonus points for having a clean bathroom.

I was sold on the texture and hint of salt. The shop is clean and modern, gentleman behind the counter was friendly and professional. The smashed cookie was fresh out of the oven. $4 for a decently sized cookie. I showed some willpower and waited until I got home to eat it. Let's just say, it was gone in less than a minute! Absolutely delicious! Maybe I would have gone for a touch more salt but it was a great cookie. I would certainly return.

However, they don't take themselves or life too seriously. This is a key difference, one to think about, I don't have the time to define it. I care about it enough to present but not to describe. Then there are others, who don't take themselves or life seriously enough. A crowd that wouldn't even know they were within a crowd of similar individuals. There are some that strive or pretend to be like this, but this style of living is innate, if you ask me. And it is typically temporary, like the tubbyness of my tummy. I've ordered both the Chocolate Silk and Cannoli cakes, and they've been a hit every single time. You can really tell they use high quality ingredients, and the balance of flavors is spot on. The staff is another big reason I keep coming back. Every time I've ordered a cake, they've been friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating, which makes the whole process easy and stress-free. While I've only ordered their cakes so far, they offer so many other items that I'm excited to try in due time. On top of everything, their prices are very reasonable for the quality you're getting. Highly recommend Baking Grace to anyone looking for a consistently amazing cake and great customer service.
