10/10 Across the board! WOW Amazing FRESH DEEEELICIOUS CAKES! You guys rock! Please give them a try you won't regret it. First off, I'm HUGE about customer service treatment, and I have to say what a polite young man who took my order (sorry I think Carlos you rock) ! I needed a cake in 24hrs with my BF's picture on it as Superman lol and guys the cake was not only amazing looking but tasted so fresh BUTTERCREAM LEAD THE WAY!I ordered it at his suggestion and grabbed the Tres Leche and I can't say enough! SUPER DELICIOUS, FRESH, THEY GIVE YOU WHAT YOU WANT, SUPER POLITE ON THE PHONE, THEY WILL TEXT YOU WHEN THE CAKE IS READY! Parking is readily accessible by street as well as a private lot right next door. Definitely earned a spot on my list of go to bakeries. Thank you guys you made my guy and guest very happy!

March 19 is St. Joseph's day, which means it's St. Joseph's Day pastries! And Hackensack Pastry shop has been making them - in fact all sorts of Italian goodies for decades. I remember coming here a with my grandpa as a little girl. I got here early at 7 am today to pick these up for my son who is a huge fan. You have a choice of pastry cream or cannoli filling inside. Hands down we are cannoli filling folk. They are just fabulous.

Ordered a handful of items that included a cake, cake pops, cookies, cupcakes and mini 2 oz cakes. Communication with the bakery was fairly easy. They were receptive of our requests. The cake, cookies and and cakes pops turned out really nice is appearance and flavor. Three stars because on the day of pick up, it seemed like the workers were stressed and still working on the order at the time of pick up. We were shown each order except the mini cakes which turned out to be the order we had the biggest issue with. The drive back to our event venue was smooth but everything was toppled over and could barely be saved. We were given the option to wrap this order for an additional $6 ($.50 each in the dozen) but I highly believe the safety of each order should be standard at no extra cost. The cupcakes also stuck together which was not ideal, but not a huge issue.

I needed a simple cake last minute and was recommended to try Hackensack Pastry Shop. I was in luck as they were able to accommodate me and made the ordering process smooth. Delicious and moist lemon cake that was loved by all who got to taste. When I came to pick up the cake I was surrounded by cases of more cakes, cookies, and various pastries. Parking is readily accessible by street as well as a private lot right next door. Definitely earned a spot on my list of go to bakeries.

I had the pleasure of purchasing a custom cake by Sumac, and it was fantastic! She replicated exactly what I wanted, and it tasted great! I also have picked up assorted pastries from here, and everything is so delicious. My personal favorite are the mini fruit tarts. Prices are reasonable, the quality and taste are wonderful, and there is parking. (A major plus in my book esp for Hackensack.) I've definitely made Hackensack Pastry Shop my go to for custom cakes and pastries.

My first purchase was in February for my birthday, then went back for both of my girls birthday in March. Totally worth it love the quality, taste and customer service i'l be back in July for my husband's birthday cake

Came here on a whim hoping to find a good chocolate cake for Christmas. I have fairly high standards for cake but I also wasn't too sure if this place was going to meet my expectations. My whole family was pleasantly surprised and all were very happy with our Christmas dessert! We've even talked about going back for another one. We also got a half of an apple pie which was also great. My brother-in-law got a small apple tart and said it was dry and "sucked" (he loved the other 2 desserts though). Overall we were all very pleased with the experience and would definitely recommend!

They had to take the frosting out and also make sure it was chocolate at least.

My mom ordered a cake TEN days in advance from this place and received a different cake. Since my mom is disabled and it was Christmas eve, my sister picked up the cake. The order was for chocolate cake with dulce the Leche. She received a chocolate cake with caramel filling and white frosting. We ordered this cake in this bakery before, but since it was Christmas eve, they wanted to leave me with cake. My sister had to take the frosting out so I could try it (I'm not too fond of any cake except chocolate cake, I dislike and do not eat frosting or chantilly cream). We threw it away, and since it was Christmas didn't want to make a big deal. She paid 81 dollars that went to the garbage.

A friend recommended me to come here, and it didn't disappoint me. I got 2 boxes of cookie and 1 mango mousse cake. The sweetness and creaminess is just about right for me. I will try other cakes in the future

I picked up an 8 inch dulce de leche tres leches cake for a birthday at work and it was a hit! So moist and exactly what we were looking for

    Tres Leches Cake Order dry
    Chand R.

So I heard about this place and drove over 30 minutes one day to try their Tres Leches cake before I committed to a birthday cake. It was good but dry... the driest I've ever has. It wasn't soaked overnight as most are and needed more milk. He said that it was soaking since this morning, but he can make my order more wet. I told the kid that my order needed to be more on the moist and wet side and he wrote it down and placed the order. I told him to make sure it wasn't dry. When I got my cake, we cut into it and the cake was DRY. The height of the cake was about 5-6 inches, and only 3/4 of an inch of it was wet with the tres leches. I'm really annoyed because it feels like i'm served my guests just dry pound cake. The quality is not there and the cake itself feels like a very dry commercially dry pound cake.

Custom order cake of tres leche with guava and dulce de leche filling.

I sent them a photo of what I wanted and they delivered it 1,000%. I love my tres leche very damp, with two fillings, guava & dulce de leche. It hits the spot every single time! The photos does not do the beauty of the cake justice. It was perfect and it was oh so delicious! If you're a person who loves guava, dulce de leche and tres leche, I highly recommend, don't knock it, until you try it. Service is always top notch! Every employee is beyond respectful and friendly. The ambiance, you wish you could carry the entire bakery home with you.

At one location I frequented, the coffee had really disappointed me. Once upon a time, their coffee was delicious, with rich, chocolatey notes, but the last few visits left me with bitter, almost burnt-tasting drinks, and no amount of milk could fix it. This was surprising, since they supposedly use LavAzza beans. I also never loved their cakes; I often found them too heavy on icing and light on actual cake. However, on a recent trip while shopping at 99 Ranch Market (which is conveniently right next door), we decided to give Paris Baguette another try and treat ourselves to pastries. I was immediately impressed by their selection and how frequently the display was refilled. Every item was behind a glass case, which felt very clean and hygienic. The cashiers were great at making the hot beverages, and they asked if we had a rewards program with them. We gave them our phone numbers, and it turned out none of us had signed up or that they expired. Here's what we purchased: - Cafe Mocha - 5/5 stars. Perfect balance of espresso and chocolate. The barista even made a heart on top. Although the lid covered it, the gesture was appreciated. - Cold Brew - 5/5 stars. Smooth and refreshing. - Chausson aux Pommes - 4/5 stars. A French apple turnover with a perfectly crisp crust and tender, flavorful apples that weren't mushy. - Croissant Donut - 5/5 stars. Flaky, buttery croissant-like in shape of a donut, filled with custard that was bright due to the citrus, and well-balanced between sweet and savory. - Blueberry & Cream Brioche - 5/5 stars. Their crust was crispy and light. It was an indulgent treat that was well balanced as the custard was rich, soft, and just sweet enough without being heavy. Patrons can help themselves to cream, milk, utensils, and napkins, which is convenient. The seating is roomy and relaxing, perfect for lingering over coffee and pastries. It's located in the Home Depot strip mall. Parking is usually easy on weekdays, but weekends can get a little hectic. Overall, this visit completely changed my opinion of Paris Baguette. The coffee and pastries were impeccable, and the environment made for a pleasant, stress-free experience. Definitely worth a stop if you're nearby.
