The tofu was soft and smooshed, versus the typical grilled tofu I have on these sandwiches. It seemed like it was mimicking chicken. My date loved his brisket pho. The wings took longer than our entrees. Would come back.

BBQ Steak rice in stone pot: The rice is cooked to perfection to make it taste like the rice in the stone pot. The broccoli has a crunch to it and is not flavored. The egg is cooked and tastes a bit like a tea egg. The bbq steak was flavored and delicious. Shacha Beef Hot Pot: This tastes good and is filling without any rice to go with it. However, this dish is a little pricey and would be better if it was a little cheaper. Popcorn Chicken: This needs some work as it is not that crunchy and lacks flavor. Takoyaki: The takoyaki lacks flavor that it should have. There is not enough squid inside and is mostly hollow. Spicy & sour shredded potatoes: This is delicious and has a hint of spice. It is a flavorful appetizer. Sichuan Spicy hot pot: This is delicious, but I wish they would add some noodles to this dish. Mango Green Tea with chia seeds: The mango green tea tastes fantastic without the hard chia seeds. I do not know why the chia seeds are super hard, so I always order it without it. Overall: This is a good restaurant to get something that feels like hotpot and some appetizers. The food here is delicious but some items could be made to taste better.

It was shaken with such a small amount of ice that my drink was almost lukewarm and the actual drink was a weird herbal medicinal flavor and didn't taste like mango whatsoever. This Gong Cha location in Edison, NJ is gargantuan with abundant tables and chairs! It is a clean, well light relaxing atmosphere. I can imagine the table hibernation occupied by patrons lingering for hours as I would with journaling and poetry separately. The atmosphere is decorated with Japanese animation sketches of characters throughout this traditional brick and mortar store. The drink lid also contain animation sketches. As a Asian American woman, I do not have a iota for taken an interest in Asian animation sketches and never did. However, I have a strong predilection for traditional fictional cartoon characters as Hello Kitty, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, or Paddington Bear. This Edison, NJ Gong Cha contains a free parking lot that is shared among neighboring business of a shopping complex 863 Logan Plaza. There are two large Japanese beckoning cats maneki-neko 招き猫 at the register which are adorable and beautiful. Customer service is prompt and efficient because I was the sole customer at that moment. A fleeting moment is all I need to attain my default drink. The female server/cashier Keshia is efficient and attentive. I did receive a sales receipt. Peach green tea, medium $6.50 I requested Oolong tea, but the cashier inadvertently inputted my order in the register as green tea. However, my sales receipt attained stated "Notes: oolong." The tea actually did taste Oolong as well as the dark coloring which my order is accurate. One medium drink with grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 $.075, regular ice 100%, and sugar 30%. I desired this drink to be cold and no milk which my requests were fulfilled and satisfied. The tea was standard but good quality. I have a predilection for Oolong and green tea - particularly Matcha green tea. The ice, as usual, entirely melted and my drink became room temperature - this time during my long-haul car ride returning to NYC. The grass jelly is average, somewhat served chilled and paucity for minimal quantity but a nice delight. I strongly believe there is a price discrimination for preferential treatment as New Jersey is significantly lowered price than its neighbor state New York. For $6.50 medium drink it is very reasonable price by the economic standards of stagflation 2026 era. If I live within distance from Edison, New Jersey and have driving skills enabling car ownership I would surely make the occasional trek to this Edison, NJ bubble tea business.

This location is accessible via A train at 42nd Street Port Authority. Upon arriving there was a woman in front of me arguing with the staff persistently haggling the price to be lowered, but to no avail. Woman, no means no! There are other bubble tea businesses within the locale that may appease your needs, but not this particular Gong Cha whom apologized for the inconvenience of the inability to lower the price on the product ordered. As I waited patiently, I took photos of this business' environment. The staff stated the cash register is not working and currently unable to accept either credit or debit cards, but cash only payments. Ergo, I was unable to obtain a sales receipt nor a drink label printed. I wonder if the staff reboot the register or check their internet connection to be offline as the cause of non-functioning O/O/O. [1] Customer service is average. Well... if the staff can lower the price for one customer why not lower it for ALL customers? Surely, why not make my drink order as inclusion for lowering the price, please? Hell no, of course not! The conclusion was ironclad. In the real world, this cannot happen. As I stood on line waiting for this woman to let go and walk away from her argument I had shrunk to my own gnawing thoughts. I took photos of the atmospheric environment. There is a cute signage: "Bubble tea where refreshment meets creativity." The pink metal water bottle is very adorably cute which is something that I would certainly purchase. Peach green tea, medium $7.25 My favorite default topping grass jelly (aka herbal jelly) loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my standard request for $0.75 which was good, but not served chilled. At 30% sugar level request, it was slightly higher in sugar content. Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg would shake his head at me in disbelief with disapproval and disappointment for consuming this excessively sugary drink. The peach green tea was not the cause of the sweetness but a man-made sugar embed measurement error.
