I've tried a dozen other boba places in north jersey and nothing compares to cafe teasia. the tapioca is perfect; super rare for it to be too chewy/soft or sweet/bland. Amazing milk teas and fruit flavors (i love the almond milk tea, and strawberry fruity tea). The atmosphere is cozy which is great in an era of everything turning fluorescent and cold. The workers are all sweethearts. they should add real matcha to the menu tho. i don't even like matcha but i know that'll bring in more customers. The new addition of ramen is a really cool touch. The best boba establishment nearby in my opinion. Dino Boba in cranford is good but way less options and i don't like the vibes in that place. read more

I'd just been unceremoniously tacitly rejected as a solo patron at a local ish place named after a severed appendage. A famous one, I hear! But every door that closes gives us an opportunity to go somewhere else. Cafe Teasia this arctic Sunday night during the fallow holiday period was surely spartan ,modest in size and devote. There was a fellow with a backwards baseball cap on speaking with another someone far away on a laptop, mimicking the illusion of companionship. Another pair playing at the same human game we all play at was doing it in person as a couple or couple to be or two who were to have but these evening. The beau or fella was brashly loud which soon grew charming as I recalled when I used to try to wow girls with tales of meditation tricks and bragging I'd be dead in 2031 when the next Avatar comes out (or the equivalent in my time). So here I was coming in out of the cold playing the same innocent game for human connection. I wish I could warn him that her politely laughing may not be a good sign! Or maybe assure him it is - ah, but who knows what love is or indeed even what fun is. All i know was the last joint wasn't putting out any such vibe. Ah the severance. So I got two coffees to go because that's what coffees are for. But I also got my first ever "bubblentea". The mango bubble tea had these little pearl-like bubble balls that mash like tiny grapes in your mouth. Delightful candified moment. But here's what I'll always remember. The second i walked in, the cashier warmly greeted me and welcomed me with but three patrons here on a Sunday night - and the heat was out. She wore a coat. I didn't remove mine. Kinda disappointed. Honestly, the only thing I liked about the place was how pretty it was on the inside. LOTS of seating. Huge tables. Counter seating. A quiet nook. But that's where it ends. They had ONE worker and God bless her, she was doing EVERYTHING. I can't fault her for my order taking forever as she was the only on there and there was lots of people. My Ube Latte was so mid. Overly sweet and artificial tasting. It came out waaaay ahead of the rest of my order so I couldn't even enjoy them together. This place has a nice ambiance, i'll give it that. Other then that, horrible. How is it possible the manager puts only one person working every day?! I've come here on different occasions and all times it's just only one worker. That's just terrible. I received my drink 10 minutes later after ordering a honeydew milk tea with tapioca. It's insane. I get the work might not be hard, but the workers shouldn't be under appreciated like that. One of my favorite places when I need a semi-quiet place to study or get work done while still being able to get a caffeine/sugar fix, if necessary. This place, even though it is located on a corner near many popular destinations, isn't as obvious as you would think it is, but there is plenty of metered parking in the immediate vicinity, which is super helpful. Menu includes many different varieties of bubble tea (and toppings!) in addition to hot/iced coffee, lattes, espresso, and many different desserts. I try and get something new each time I visit, and I love that they allow you to mix 2 flavors together with the bubble tea; I have yet to be disappointed! Place itself is cozy and clean, and the staff are polite and personable. I have never had an unpleasant experience on any of my visits. I came here to do some work early, around opening. I tried to order a bubble tea but the tapioca wasn't ready yet so I ordered a coffee. I ordered a bubble tea later, and asked for it less sweet. He said they usually do two teaspoons and made it with half a teaspoon for me and it was perfect. A nice place, parking is a bit meh though. But overhearing conversations, I could tell that the owner really cares about the comfort of his customers. He was relating that when the younger patrons come in after school, he's fine if they're a little loud, a little messy, they're kids after all. The tea here was nice, although I didn't like the bubbles （tapioca) much. The bubbles were too tough for my preferences. Fortunately the tea flavor was nice... the perfect level of sweetness. I wanna give a big shoutout to the young woman at the counter with dark, closely cropped hair! I told her that I never had bubble tea before and she talked me through what I should try first with immense expertise. Secondhand tip for other bubble tea first-timers: don't start with the tapioca pearl bubbles. They had a wide range of options for bubble tea, coffee, tea, as well as an assortment of desserts, along with gourmet waffles that are apparently coming soon to Cafe Teasia! From these options, we determined that I'd probably like a creamy drink as opposed to fruity. I tried a 16oz Iced Matcha Bubble Tea with Yogurt bubbles ($4.95). Ultimately, the flavor really wasn't for me, as I found the matcha to be a bit more bitter than I'm used to (usually I get an iced matcha green tea latte with vanilla syrup from other coffee shops, so this was just less sweet than what I'm used to I think) and the bubbles were a bit alarming to slurp up. Regardless, I think my experience is just because of my personal preference, and through no fault of the cafe. By far my favorite coffee shop in town. Not only is it in the perfect cozy corner spot, it's got the calmest vibes. The staff who work there are by far the kindest and it's so nice to be greeted every time by a big smile and people who genuinely are happy to see me. My only complaint is that you can only do less sugar on the black milk tea bubble tea, I'm pretty sure that means they use power for the rest of them which kind of sucks but I think that's how it is with most bubble tea chains.
