Nice little coffee shop I stop in every once in awhile and get a black coffee and chocolate chip cookies. I love their cookies they have a bunch of different types but I stick with chocolate chip. The store itself is great for working and meetings or hanging out with friends it has a great atmosphere. The service is basic walk up order and pay its fast and easy. I've had this place bookmarked for a while. The pros: easy parking and enough tables. They have free wifi and you can work from here. Negatives: the coffee. It wasnt very good and wasn't made the way I wanted. The barista struggled with English and even after trying multiple times to explain my order it didn't work out. The interior is a bit dark because they have limited windows are in the shade so I felt like I was in a dungeon. Overall, it wasn't my favorite experience. read more

Happened to find this adorable, spacious coffee shop and I am so happy to have a new favorite spot on my list of cafes with good coffee and good wifi. After turning to Yelp to help me find a cafe in the area, I made my way to here and found a big spacious cafe with a very friendly team behind the counter. I got my go-to oat milk latte as well as a ham and cheese on a French crossiant and both came out quick and delicious. All there is to love: -So many tables. Chances are you'll find a spot to sit, either by yourself or with a friend/group. -Strong wifi (perfect for working remotely). -Good coffee with lots of specials I was super tempted by. -Delicious small bites. Keep in mind there is not a full lunch menu but there are lots of Portuguese sweets (my favorites, custard cups, looked sooooo good) and savories like the croissants with ham and cheese or just cheese. Absolutely loved coming across this gem of a coffee shop! I've passed this place so many times but finally decided to stop in and I was not disappointed. I love the authenticity and the speciality lattes. I ordered the cookie dough latte and it was delicious, the right amount of sweetness. My husband is Brazilian so he loved seeing all the different sodas like sumol and guarana. Their pastries are also so good. The decor is beautiful and it's so peaceful and quiet. The coffee was amazing and they had so many different options, as well as a helpful staff! There is a large TV where everyone was watching Virgin River together and plenty of space for people to come, drink coffee and work. I came upon this place while my father was having eye surgery at the surgicenter next door and I'm so happy I came in. First of all it beats waiting in a surgical waiting room for 3 hours. Secondly, the pastries and breakfast sandwiches are fantastic! I enjoy the panini pressed ham and cheese which can come on a roll, croissant and Portuguese croissant and you can substitute different meats. They have a wide variety of coffee and tea selections to choose from. I had the lavender and chai tea lattes which were both delicious. They asked me if I wanted fresh lavender pedals on the lavender latte which i thought i would like, but I didn't, so I'll get it without next time. The Staff was outstanding! They are so helpful in explaining the different pastries and very warm and welcoming. Cute little coffee shop down the road from my Aunt Nisy and Uncle Ernie. I am not sure it's a read a book or study type of vibe place but it's cool. Service was okay. The young kiddos did not go out of their way to be kind. Didn't say much. Their grandma came around the counter to mop and clean up. Neither one of the young kiddos offered to help her at all. The place is airy, sunny, clean and very inviting. This is my first time here. Their cream bun was very light and had a pull to the bite. The texture seemed like cake flour was used. It reminded me of Dunkin Donuts Bavarian Cream donut. The girl behind the counter says things are not baked on premises but are from another location daily. Their coffee tasted nice and strong. We visited POURtuga today. The coffee shop is in a nice location. We got Americano, latte, and expresso. All of them were pretty good and reasonably priced. Way less expensive than Starbucks or some other small coffee shops. Our favorite part was the ham sandwich...your probably saying "ham sandwich?". I was surprised too. They panini press a ham sandwich on Portuguese bread and it was super good! Also the custard cups are up there with some of the best we've had. Great local coffee shop. Check it out! read more

Lots of food choices; fried empanadas, croissant sandwiches, cake slices, gluten-free options, chicken coxinha, muffins, etc. Went hoping they had the Portuguese custard cups but I shouldn't assume that just because they're a Portuguese coffee shop that they had them. Instead, I opted for a arrufada de coco. And an iced cafe Americano. The coffee was good. Ask for cream if you want it. They won't ask. The arrufada was ok. I imagine it would've been better if it were fresh. It had great flavor but it also tasted about a day or two old. The bread part, though a tad dry, had a nice almost anise flavor that was a wonderful surprise but the coconut custard part on top was the star. The bathrooms had great fixtures that I want for my own home. Overall, a nice place. Just watch your step as you walk in. I wasn't the only one. read more

Clean bakery with plenty of dining space and wifi. best part is you can sit outside and still catch great internet reception. it was the perfect space to get work done while enjoying my lavender matcha latte. they were very busy, so could get a bit noisy, but I did not mind. food was delicious and fresh. I tried the veggie toast and it hit the spot. before leaving I grabbed myself custard cups to share at home with my fiancé and my mom. they were delicious (probably the best weve had since our visit to Portugal). Staff is friendly and inviting. The manager (Liz) and the owner (Stef) are awesome. they recommended the lavender matcha and they did not miss. only thing I would recommend is adding more outdoor seating. read more

I forgot to check in when we were there yesterday - but wanted to share pics and the review! First - this place is quite easy to find. Location is pretty convenient and there's lots of parking. Upon walking in, I immediately noticed how spacious the place was and the nice simple decor they opted for inside. I made a bee line for the refrigerated cabinet that had many sandwiches ready to be pressed. Looked yummy. I spotted the pasteis de nata, muffins, etc and decided to order what I came for - pasteis de nata plus a flat white with almond milk. Coffee was strong so the drink was quite good. I didn't take a bit of the custard tarts/cups until I got home and yep - they're pretty legit. Flaky dough, smooth custard and the carmelized sections on top. Nice having a spot somewhat nearby for these because the other spots were a little far. Hope to be able to try the sandwiches next time! read more

So glad to have this cute little coffee shop pop up in the Watchung circle! I've been here a few times already to try all the different things. The hot chocolate is amazing and the coffee is fresh and of quality. The lemonade is really poppin, but next time I will ask for less ice(it was slightly more than half filled with ice). Polite staff answered all of my pastry questions patiently. The egg custard cup and the giant palmier are our favorites.. didn't care for the the lemochida(not sure of exact name) or other pastries(tried them all). Tried the 'avocado' toast and 'tuna sandwich' which was more of an unexpected light spread on both, but the bread was fresh and tasty. I will likely only go repeatedly for drinks and the custard cup or to try a new pastry offered that I haven't given a chance yet. read more
