Lovely new place in Dewy Meadow Village. Fresh pastries, coffee drinks, bubble teas and limited selection of paninis. The coffee drinks are great, and the earl gray lavender scone was delicious. Very friendly and efficient service, a good number of chairs for sitting, and also some outside seating.

Went to the new Stone Bean Bubble Tea and Pastry Shop in Dewey Meadow in Basking Ridge today. Delicious bubble tea, also had a red velvet cookie that was very enjoyable. They also have coffee even though it's not in their name! Great place, worth a visit!

Brown sugar spice cold brew and Thai tea scone. Yum!!!

Okay, so you might be a little confused when you first arrive. But this is a wonderful little find!…read moreI was looking for a cafe to meet with a coworker for a bit in the area and our usual spot was already closed for the day. Of course, I jumped on Yelp and landed here: a tiny cafe with 4 arm chairs in the front section of a laundromat! The Wi-Fi was strong, my oat milk latte was delicious and the chairs were cozy. Also, the woman who took our order was so sweet and kind. When she saw me take out my laptop she brought me over a side table and even brought the paper with the Wi-Fi over and hung it up on the wall across from me. They had a slightly limited coffee menu, but you could definitely get drip and lattes here. My coworker got an iced tea as well. They had a few pastries as well if you are looking for something to munch on. A group came in while we were there and got bubble teas to go, so now I know of a wonderful new spot to get my boba fix! While this may not be the best for hunkering down to get work done (I mean, it was totally okay for us) it seems like a great place to 1) grab a drink to go 2) wait while you wash your clothes! If I needed a laundromat and was more local, this would be the no brainer place to go. It was clean, they were so incredibly friendly, and the drinks were delicious.

What a delightful tea shop. One of my most authentic experiences in the US, comparable to my…read moreexperiences in tea shops in Taiwan. I actually came across this place on an Instagram post and decided to check it out. It seems that normally a tea ceremony is something we'd have to book ahead of time (and pay for, apparently) but we didn't know. So, we wandered in and the shopkeep started telling us about teas and she let me smell a green one. I asked if I could try it, she generously said yes, and that kicked off an unplanned tea ceremony. It started off with just my husband and I, but as other people came into the shop, the shopkeep invited them to join us at the table so by the end there was another couple, a woman, the shopkeep's husband and the shop's assistant hanging out together and drinking tea. We learned all about the villages where the teas came from, the differences between some of them, how old the teas are, how the shop came to be, even about the tea table we sat at. Super cool vibe, loved the coming together of strangers bonding for hours over a shared love of tea, but one that I'm not sure can be replicated because again, these tea tastings are meant to be booked ahead of time with your party, and are meant to be a paid service (though in Taiwan, tea tastings are free). We got lucky because the shop wasn't busy and people had cancelled their tea bookings due to an upcoming snow storm. I will most likely come back for more tea at some point. Even if a spontaneous tea ceremony never happens again, I count my blessings that such an experience even happened once, and would still recommend this shop to any Chinese tea lover.

Saigon Subs & Cafe honestly might be one of the best if not the best spot for a good banh mi. The…read moreflavors really hits. It's around $13 per banh mi which is a little higher than some places, but the quality and portion make it worth it 100%. I got the S1 and S8. The S1 was really good and something I would definitely order again. It's my husband's favorite. The S8 was the chicken and it came out warm with steam! A lot of other places make it but it's still cold. I also liked how fresh the ingredients taste. Service takes about 15 to 20 minutes for the order to come out just as a heads up. One Only small critique is the bread. While I like a crispy baguette, this one is a bit too crunchy and can cut the roof of your mouth a little. So don't gobble it down fast like I did. If they made it just slightly less aggressive it would be perfect. Overall I would definitely go back for more.

Parking can be a bit tricky given its location near a major road, but there is metered parking right out front. One thing I really appreciated was the thoughtful packaging. Instead of wrapping everything in paper/foil (which traps steam and softens the bread), they use takeaway containers that keep the banh mi bread crispy and intact. The portions are generous! I don't think I've ever had a bahn mi with so much protein! I personally asked for extra cilantro on some of the sandwiches which is why the cilantro looks so obnoxious in the pictures. Everything was solid and satisfying! The lemongrass chicken bahn mi stood out with its aromatic flavor. The Saigon special bahn mi though, could've used a bit more presence from the mayo and pate to enhance the flavors. Sounds weird, but surprisingly, the sardines in tomato sauce bahn mi was better than it sounds. It was savory and definitely worth trying if you're feeling adventurous. The summer rolls were fresh, clean, and a great complement to the sandwiches. My only note: I wish the pickled carrots and radish had a bit more tang. They leaned mild rather than punchy. Overall, a reliable spot with thoughtful touches and flavorful options. I'd come back again.
