This was our first time at coffee culture and it was definitely the friendliest coffee shop we've been to! My brother and I both got cortados. The espresso itself was pretty good but the ratios were a bit off for a cortado. It was larger than usual and more like a cappuccino. The interior was so bright, beautiful and clean. The cafe itself is well decorated. They also offer an assortment of pastries. There were 2 people behind the counter and they were both so so nice. They were the friendliest people and it was clear that there were regulars that come in every day to see them. Really enjoyed the environment here!!

This coffee was SOOOO good. I got the hazelnut iced latte and it was so incredibly delicious and strong. It was definitely made with a lot of love too.

Okay I'm about to possibly sound ridiculous but I'm going to share a story. So to preface I am currently 25. Back when I was in high school, Gennaro (the owner of this establishment) had another coffee shop back in my hometown, Millburn. I frequented this coffee shop and was in LOVE with this coffee. I've grown to become quite particular with my coffee and while I'm no expert barista, I've become more knowledgable about coffee beans and have become quite picky honestly lol. Im picky with my beans and at home I grind them fresh and usually French press or pour over. But yeah, Gennaro's last business and the coffee there was honestly what started my love for good, proper coffee. Before that I didn't know anything beyond Starbucks and Dunkin. They had sold the place looong ago and I've missed and craved their coffee since, not exaggerating I would have dreams about their coffee. There's just something very distinct and special they achieve with their coffee that you honestly will have trouble finding elsewhere. I since moved and live closer to Berkeley Heights now. And decided to check out this new coffee shop this morning. I was OVERJOYED to see Gennaro and Elizabeth. I almost had to pinch myself to check if I was dreaming because honestly I thought I wouldn't have another cup of their coffee again! Hahahaha. I was emotional. In conclusion. A PERFECT addition to Berkeley Heights and a cup of coffee you will have dreams about! Knowing I can have this coffee again has made my entire month. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

In a universe of local coffee options, there is a new shining star in Berkeley Heights called Coffee Culture Roastery It is within the hip and cool modern walls of Coffee Culture Roastery where the science and artistry of true coffee make a harmonic convergence. Under the watchful eye of the talented proprietor, Gennaro Raimo, who has spent years perfecting his craft, you can expect to enjoy the best cup of coffee you've ever had. Masterfully curated blends of beans from around the globe are small batch roasted and properly allowed to "off gas" in order to obtain the best flavor of every single bean. I challenge you to ask your current goto shop if they even know what that means. I'm willing to bet that you'll get a blank stare. Trust and believe that Gennaro and his wife Elizabeth care more about your coffee drink than any other folks around, maybe even more than you do. A coffee education is free at Coffee Culture Roastery and Gennaro's suggestions on things you may want to try next time are usually spot on. I think of myself as a pretty decent home barista with my fancy espresso machine and beans shipped in from Seattle but if I'm being honest with myself, my end result doesn't even come close to what I've experienced at Coffee Culture Roastery It's definitely worth my 20 minute drive from Warren! Both the stellar coffee and the friendly vibe make a fantastic way to start my day.

This coffee shop is really nice and they make a good cup of coffee. We came in on their second day and it was packed! I got the drip coffee which was my favorite and a cappuccino which was good. The owner is very nice and roasts the beans fresh in-house. You can taste the difference for sure! Excited to come back

Deep coffee flavor, without being bitter or over roasted. Quick, friendly service. Not hard to park. Laboratory clean!

Limited hours, no seating or wifi to work. Would like to see this change. Hope it doesn't cause business not to do well.

I come here only on Sunday mornings and often, when there is usually no line. For two years I have been doing this , I have received ZERO eye contact, no warmth, no engagement from this shift's crew--until today. That's why it mattered when one Asian barista this morning (who wasn't the one to take my order) warmly looked at me, smiled, and said something kind. It came right after her coworker placed my drink down, mumbled my name, and they turned their back on me when I thanked them -- but weren't doing anything else! Same energy when they took my order minutes earlier even when I was the only person in line. Like I owe them a favor for being at their counter! I've watched them and their colleagues treat me this way consistently. Mind you, I either only order a latte, a matcha, or a pastry. The worst part is that this treatment feels selective. I''ve seen this same crew be friendly, laugh, and engage with other customers--but from what I've seen for 2 years is that it seems only a certain type of walk-in gets this reception. It suck's to be flatly received and then notice the person behind me get a smile and a conversation, even if it's obvious that they're not a regular here ... at least not on Sundays. :) Again, thank you to that barista who broke the pattern for me today because I finally felt seen. I added a 3rd star out of gratitude. :) If you've found this crew non-selectively friendly, I'd genuinely like to know what day you come--because my Sunday morning experience has been consistently selective. I choose to be optimistic. And to management, let's talk about this.

The music isn't overpowering loud so you can still have a conversation or get work done. They have plenty of seating and even a couch. The service was good the employee who took my order was pleasant and got my order quickly. As far as the food I ordered a glazed donut and a black medium roast black coffee. The coffee was very and not bitter nor did it have coffee grounds on the bottom of the cup (which I hate). The glazed donut was very fresh and tasted great it was sweet but not overpowering which I love. Just make sure you take extra napkins as it is messy. Overall I like the place it's not snobby or pretentious it's just very chill

There's plenty of indoor seating, and the outdoor seating area is spacious and really elevates the whole atmosphere in the warm weather. The baristas are consistently kind, quick, and talented, and the drinks come out perfect every single time. I'm a huge local coffee shop fan, and not every shop nails consistency, but Black River Roasters has gotten it right without fail since the day they opened. I've been coming here since they first opened their doors, and their coffee is still tough to beat. Truly some of the best coffee I've ever had!

First impressions: wow, this place is huge for a coffee shop. Black River roasts their own coffee beans in house, which is always nice and means you're getting some high quality caffeine. Seasonal flavors included pumpkin, bourbon maple, and apple cinnamon -- so you already know you're getting quality, since these aren't flavors you can get just anywhere. I loved the signage depicting staff favorite drink mixes as it adds a fun touch to the menu! Coffee was great, my only complaint is that with syrups the drink can get way too sweet (especially since I typically drink unsweetened coffee.) Make sure to ask for less syrup and you'll be good to go! Can't wait to return!

The owner, Carolina, was warm and charming as was the waitress, Amira, who provided great service. We started with Argentine beef empanadas as a starter. For lunch I ordered the beef milanesa platter with French fries, while my wife had the chicken milanesa sandwich. Both dishes were generous in portion and full of flavor, just the kind of hearty, home-style fare I love from Argentine cafés. We also picked up a sandwich de miga to take home--a crustless ham and cheese sandwich that was simple, delicate, and satisfying. I'd rate both the meal and the sandwich an easy 8 out of 10. The café itself has a welcoming, local feel, and visiting on a weekday kept things peaceful. I learned they offer fresh Argentine pastries on weekends, which sounds like a perfect reason for a return visit soon. Patria Station Café is a great spot for authentic flavors, big portions, and a pleasant, laid-back experience.
