For lunch I ordered the beef milanesa platter with French fries, while my wife had the chicken milanesa sandwich. We also picked up a sandwich de miga to take home--a crustless ham and cheese sandwich that was simple, delicate, and satisfying. I'd rate both the meal and the sandwich an easy 8 out of 10. We stopped on our way home from a wedding .. My husband is from Argentina so anytime we can have a taste of home for him we stop ! The owner was so welcoming ! I'm originally from Argentina but came to Jersey to visit some friends and decided to walk to this restaurant for some empanadas. What a pleasant surprise. The place is beautifully decorated with original Argentine decorations that brought me back to Argentina. Valentino was our server and it was his second day working there and he was fabulous. Very kind and made us feel at home. The food was great. We just went for empanadas but they had a full menu with variety from meat to pasta. I was sooo happy they had mate so drank my mate and for desert we had a delicious Dulce de Leche cheesecake. A must have!! If you are Argentine you should be happy to have this place around and if you are not, you should try it as well to get a taste of Argentine cuisine!! Wow! Needed a breakfast place to kill some time while awaiting my wife's minor surgery visit. Located in a small outparcel across from the Berkeley Heights train station, when you step inside it feels like you're on vacation in a cafe in Argentina. Cozy and compact, I chose the Torrejas - French toast on Baguette bread, with powdered sugar and "Dulce de Leche" (milk caramel spread). Steak was tender and perfectly cooked, potatoes were crisp and the "bruschetta" on toast may have been the best part of the dish. Owner was super friendly, prompt and quick service. I don't know what's taken me so long to stop in for a bite to eat. Now that I have? It's go time! What a cute 20-seat spot right at the Berkeley Heights train station. The decor, plants, and outdoor eating area, the packaged and fresh goods, and the staff made the restaurant feel very welcoming. I went in for brunch today and ordered the omelette de la huerta y cafe con leche. I typically do not drink coffee because most places over roast the beans (my nice way of saying it almost always tastes burned). But this cup was smooth, hot and lightened with oat milk. The omelette was PACKED with fresh veggies and tasted even better when topped with their homemade chimichurri sauce. I eyed the display case before my server explained all the sweets and told me the chef just finished making chorizo y queso empanadas. Such a delightful little gem! I came across this place accidentally while coming back from an appt in the area. Such an authentic and delicious experience! I was greeted by the owners, a lovely couple who clearly built this place with such love, and cook with such passion, it's evident in the details of the place and in the food. I ordered a half dozen empanadas. And they were truly some of the best I've ever had. They were not greasy, and unlike most empanadas where the quality of the stuffing seems secondary to the shell, this was different. There was a special beef empanada made with chunks of beef braised in wine, and their regular beef empanada had surprising ingredient touches that made it truly delicious and memorable. They also had an open empanada with potatoes and cheese that was unlike anything I've ever had. They were so good, I ordered a few. I tried to order different kinds so I can try as many as possible, each one was uniquely delicious. This place is ideal for breakfast, brunch and lunch. It feels like you're in Argentina inside given the decor and the music, and outside there is plenty of outdoor patio seating where you can take in the sun. I live about 20 min. away, but this place is worth the extra drive time. It will surely become one of my go-to favorites. read more

I ventured here while in town recently. The hostess was so generous and kind so I decided to stay for a lovely cheese and onion torte. Then hung for an hour until the Practice Spanish group arrived and brushed some of the rust off my Spanish. I'll definitely return to sample More Empanadas and sweets. read more

This place is great! My wife raved about it since she stopped by a couple months ago for an empanada, and we finally found time to check it out. We went on a Sunday around noon and there was plenty of seating. The inside and outside spaces are somewhat small, but we didn't feel cramped and sat outside. I had the French Toast with Nutella added, and she got the omelette, and we also got 3 empanadas to share with the chimichurri sauce. To drink, I got an iced coffee and she got the lagrima espresso drink. Everything tasted phenomenal. The French toast was unique and delicious, both crispy and soft. The empanadas all had unique flavors and were very satisfying. My wife said she loved her omelette and that all the ingredients were very fresh. The service was great, both our waiter and the owner were friendly and responsive. We can't recommend it enough, we will definitely be back! read more

I also get the mate, you can drink it outside on a beautiful day under their umbrellas. You can BYOB and have some meat or a Milanesa. Check them out, you won't regret it. The food here is mediocre, at best. The ambience, actually had a chance, but didn't quite make it. When I got my bill, $18.50 for a bowl of chicken soup( made with chicken "flavored" granules)....that was the end forever. Being a professional chef, I know what I'm talking about.
