    Empanada Carne

What a celebration! Attended this place to celebrate my parents 36th anniversary and I will say they do a great job with groups and celebrations. As other reviews have stated they do well with menu options for groups as well. This is a BYOB establishment which is always nice because you can bring in something you might enjoy with your meal. Beware on weekends parking will often be a little more challenging as it is street parking. Once you are in be ready for a fun environment as they do fun celebrations with lights, music, and bubbles for birthdays and special occasions. I would say if this is not for a more quiet intimate night. We enjoyed our meal as I started with the empanada de carne which did the job and had a nice crunchy flaky crust at a good value. We decided to do the Choripan Americano for 2 and remember when ordering steak never order past medium you lose flavor trust me. We enjoyed it but my parents who are vets say the seafood version is superb. My parents got a nice celebration as well and we loved the balcarce as a great Argentinian dessert that's light and fluffy. Overall, excited to come to this place when in town.

Choripan Rodizio Too probably deserves a higher rating for groups than for lone wolves, both in mood and menu. For example, the combos for three people look great but no such option is available for singles. You can tell the food will be great by the smoke aroma down the block. I got a ribeye, medium-well. It was expertly prepared, superbly juicy and had just the right amount of seasoning. The chimichurri was a powerful concoction.

Received the most over cooked ribs ever. Bad service and unfriendly staff. Meat wasn't seasoned at all and Salad wasn't fresh

The atmosphere was excellent price was good. The service was great we had a dinner of meat combo for 2 was very good. The sangria was great the ambiance very busy but was a Saturday. We will be going back.

We did a mixed platter and a sangria pitcher. Great value for the amount of food! Inside is a bit loud but it's great vibes for a night out!

Absolutely wonderful food! I was unexpectedly delayed for a flight and stayed overnight, nearby this restaurant and decided to give it a try for dinner. The portions are plentiful, and the cooking is absolutely stellar! The meats were all cooked very well and were not overly seasoned or salty. I ordered the red meat family-sized platter of delicious meats. A nearby table ordered the seafood version and they let me take this photo to share with you! I enjoyed the restaurant environment and the seating. While the restaurant was busy, and most of the tables were full, it was not overly loud or crowded. The server checked on the meal and insured that all was well with the dining experience.

I came here as it was recommended by a close friend. This Rodizio spot did not disappoint! The steaks and chicken are cooked with great flavor and it was tender as well! They have options where you can get food for 2! There is plenty- such as chicken, steak, and sausage. You also get two sides added to your Rodizio. The staff was very friendly. They checked back a couple of times to make sure everything's good.

Came here with some friends for meat, meat, and more meat. We got exactly what we wanted! I'd recommend grabbing a couple of the large platters to share for big parties, and getting their great sangrias. They have a good variety of meats in each platter, including chicken, steak, ribs, sausage, blood sausage, intestine, and other things. Everything is super well seasoned and delicious. The yucca fries are outstanding as well! Was surprised how fast everything came out too given how much food we ordered. The indoor has a soccer bar vibe with many TVs showing matches from different leagues, so definitely a good place to hit up and watch futbol. Overall I think it's an easy recommendation for anyone who wants to feast on meat.

I came to Choripan Rodizio Too right after watching the World Cup Final at home. The atmosphere was great and I kind of wish I caught the match at the restaurant (though it probably would've been a bummer if Argentina had lost). Parking can be tough but luckily I was able to find street parking up the block. The place was PACKED but the employees let my party of 3 know that people would be clearing out soon and we would be able to get a table shortly. Sure enough there was a mass exodus of proud Argentina/Messi fans and they took the celebration to the street. A few men had drums and they were banging away right outside the entrance to the restaurant. Plenty of people continued cheering too; just very lively overall. My party was then seated and we were able to order pretty quickly. We took the time to browse the menu while waiting so it didn't take long for us to make up our minds. We did all opt for water for our drinks but it turns out we were given bottled water. I hate paying for water but it is what it is I guess. We got the Parillada Argentina and it had a great mix of meats. Skirt steak, beef ribs, chicken, sausage, blood sausage, intestines, and sweet bread. We ordered the steak medium rare and it was cooked accordingly. Everything else in the platter was cooked to the proper doneness as well. All of the meats were seasoned well and I enjoyed them all. I had never had grilled sweet bread and was pleasantly surprised by it; I might have to try grilling sweet bread at home. The steaks were tender and juicy. The chicken was good but nothing extraordinary. Overall I really enjoyed these meats and would probably get it again. For those not as adventurous you might want to go for the Parillada Americana which substitutes some of the 'weirder' meats for Italian sausage, pork loin, and more conventional fare. The meat platter came with 2 sides and we opted for mashed potatoes and rice & beans. Both were very good as well. They provided a nice break from all the meat. We also ordered a side of yuca fries. If you've never had fried yuca I suggest you try it; I'm a big fan. My friend wanted the picanha as well so we added it to our order. We order it medium rare and it did come out cooked that way but for some reason it just felt very tough. It didn't help that our knives were not sharp enough to cut through it easily; it definitely took a little more elbow grease than it should have to cut through the meat. It was seasoned and cooked well but the toughness was disappointing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I'll likely be back.

Do they had rodizo during the weekends? If so what are the prices?

I remember they had Rodizio last June on a Sunday. Prices are ok, but not cheap. The meats were delicious though.

Is it BYOB? The Yelp page says "No Alcohol" but it's greyed out. Not sure what that means.

The one in Hackensack, NJ allows you to bring your own booze. We took a bottle of wine to that and all was well. Enjoy!

Do you have gluten free items? Rodizio at lunch?

Yes they have Rodizio at lunch.

    Do they deliver to Hackensack?

    Yes

Argentine cuisine is a blend of influences from the Italian and Spanish immigrants with its chief national product, beef. They say the reason Argentine steak is so good is that its cattle graze on the country's plentiful pampas grass, rather than being grain-fed as American cattle are. The result is leaner, more flavorful, and more nutritious beef. One such establishment is on Moonachie Road in Moonachie, where my partners, our friends and I decided on Saturday dinner. Reservations were easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this cozy, modern interior of Tango Steak as first-timers, we were greeted by the host and got a table right away. We were here 3 years ago when it was El Tango Argentina Grill. The vibe has completely changed. It's now darker and louder, not family-friendly. Music was at a decent volume and does seem to increase as it gets later, giving it a lounge type. As an appetizer, we started with Beef and Chicken Empanadas as well as Calamares (Calamari). For our main meal, we decided on the Extrana (Skirt Steak) with Mashed Potatoes & Chimichurri Sauce and Tango Burger accompanied with Fries. Food was good, not awesome. Our appetizers were tasty and well seasoned. The Skirt Steaks tasted fantastic with the Chimichurri Sauce. The Mashed Potatoes had a nice texture. However, some of us asked that their Tango Burgers be made medium but came out well done. The Fries were salty and very dry. Our service was horrendous, but our server was Nathaly who was accommodating and apologetic. Some of us had gotten their appetizer faster than others. The duration between our appetizers and the main meal was an hour. The food was not cheap given the portions received and the 20% gratuity added automatically to the bill. With insult to injury, their valet attendant charged $5. Definitely not what we expected, which is why we sadly can't recommend this place.

That's what happened to Jamie W and me, and we knew finding an early dinner in the Theater District would be a challenge, especially one we had not tried before. This Argentinian steakhouse popped up, and we braved a rainstorm to get here for a 5PM reservation. I wasn't surprised to find out it's part of a burgeoning Florida-based chain because it had that slick vibe about it with staff that appeared punctilious. Not that it was a bad thing since we were on a schedule, but we just felt a certain remove that other restaurants manage to avert. Our table also seemed to be in the middle of a heavy traffic flow as people appeared indifferent to brushing against the back of my chair. Just small things but worth pointing out. The bread basket arrived almost immediately, three rolls carefully counted for the two of us, I'm sure. The chimichurri and salsa were welcome alternatives to the inevitable butter pats (Photo 8). That was enough carbs for us. Jamie went to the sea for his entree and ordered the $36 Fresh Char-Grilled Salmon Filet accompanied by a Mixed Salad. Nicely tender if rather unadorned on the plate with only a grilled lemon half for company (Photo 4). Even though I'm not a heavy duty carnivore, I felt a need to order the $42 12-oz Certified Angus Skirt Steak, medium rare, since it is an Argentinian steakhouse (Photo 9). Good choice because it was pleasantly tender for such a fibrous slab of beef. Since I also ordered the salad, my plate looked a bit naked except for a sprig of rosemary. We shared the $12 Grilled Vegetables made up of slices of eggplant, squash, onion, and red pepper (Photo 6). We were well on our way toward satiated, but the food was served with such time efficiency that we had time for dessert. We decided to share the $13 Warm Apple Galette with Vanilla Ice Cream, Almonds, and Caramel Sauce (Photo 5). I even topped myself off with the $5.95 Cappuccino to prepare myself for the storm outside (Photo 7). By this time, the place was packed, but we weren't hurried to leave.
