You wouldn't think a chain sub location can replicate a tender brisket, but the smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket is really impressive and my choice sub to get here. We'll also get a chicken cheesesteak, New York steamer, or a custom sandwich. And with the patient staff, placing and order is easy as pie. The included pickle is a bonus and part of the pull of the FH subs. It's got a nice bite, a small amount of crunch and a welcome addition of a contrast tartness in-between each savory sub bite. Honestly with all the online order that was coming in, the staff was very friendly and got out the order without much of a long wait. As for the sub, subway has its own version of the sub which is what I order from there these days. But, Firehouse Pepperoni pizza sub is worlds better. This was my first time trying Firehouse Subs and my last. T-Mobile Tuesdays had a special for Firehouse Subs this week. Buy 1 Medium Hook & Ladder and get the second one for free, so I was very excited to try it. First, there was an app problem. Not a problem downloading the app but when going to pay, I got a message saying the payment method didn't work and try again. Well, I tried 4 GOOD credit cards and it still didn't work. I even asked the store manager if I could pay directly at the store but I couldn't. Just when I was about to forget it, for some reason it worked. This took at least a half hour. Not good. That was the first problem. Then, after I got my order and went to eat it, first of all, it didn't look anything like the photo which is very deceptive. One slice of turkey and one slice of ham!! Really!! Not only have I never seen a ridiculous amount of meat put on a sub but again, it didn't look anything like the photo. This was desceptive advertising and it's possible you could be liable for a lawsuit. So, two Hook & Ladder subs for a total of $9.59. Sounds good right? With just one slice of turkey and one slice of ham, some lettuce, tomato and onion. Actually, a TOTAL RIPOFF!! MY FIRST AND VERY LAST TIME AT FIREHOUSE SUBS. I love Firehouse Subs, but this location is a joke. The first time I went in, I was the only customer and it took 2 people more than 10 minutes to make my sub. They weren't working on any other orders and talked to each other the entire time. Like actually paused making the sub to look at each other and talk and laugh for 10 minutes. The second time, I tried to order through door dash and it took them an entire hour to make my sub. I had 3 different dashers because none of them wanted to wait on my food that long. It's a hit or miss. Like previous reviewer sometimes they give you the pickle other times they don't. Same goes with the meat sometimes there's barely any, other times it is just right. Very disappointed. Ordered a sub platter because the presentation is very nice. They said they just ran out of platter boxes as I was paying for the order. Subs were very poorly placed in cardboard containers and everything else was also placed in whatever was available. I ordered this specialty for compact presentation. Can I mention that I was surprised? I was hungry, had to go to Home Depot, and this was the only quickie I could find. I never liked the subs, hoagies, heroes in North Jersey. South Jersey/Philadelphia/Delaware---those are the real thing. This was GOOD! The roll was substantial enough to stand up to the filling.
