No frills, fresh and onion flavored patties but you can opt out from onion. Beef is very fresh, brightly red colored and sizzling on the flat top with potato bun. Service is quick and surprisingly orders are efficiently made and it works. It has the community vibe of solid followers that makes the place a real legend.

After all the news lately about White Manna closing, moving, etc I walked in today and found the same old burger fries and milkshake still happening. And still tasty as ever. Always a treat to stop back in whenever I'm in the Hackensack area. Yes, long range plans will eventually cause a change but luckily not right now. Carry on, White Manna, you're the best little burger joint around!

Parking is always a pain, but the food hits every time. If you need some good sliders, it's right in Hackensack. I always order the double cheese burger. I always eat 3 to fill me up. Burgers can get messy, but what do you expect. Service is decent, not super fast or super slow. I suggest to just order and wait outside unless you want to smell like straight fried onions.

I kept going back-and-forth on how exactly I wanted to review this place. I definitely enjoyed my food. We got 2 cheeseburgers, fries and a black-and-white shake. Everything tasted great and I was very happy that we got a chance to finally try this place out. I will say it can be a bit overwhelming if it's your first time. You have to know how to kind of order there. There's different people behind the counter that deal with different things so your one order might need to be taken by three or four people. It was a little confusing, however we really did enjoy the food and the price is unbeatable. It's rather small in there so in the future, I would say takeout might be a better option however, you can't beat the nostalgic feeling in here. The service here feels rather rushed and a bit pushy but a bit understandable when you see how quickly they roll out burgers. If you're tall, I definitely recommend trying to take out as the stationary stools are not tall human friendly...but great spot nonetheless! Retro vibes in there make you feel like you've been transported back in time.

Legendary. Although it's small & always busy, this trip was worth it. They're set to move next year across the street from Target. I ordered à Rasberry Iced Tea, 2 Cheesesteaks & Double Cheesesteaks. Can't wait to come back.

White Manna -- An Icon, With Conditions It had been a while since my last visit, and coming back to White Manna actually made me excited. They use Martin's potato buns, and the burgers are gently steamed on the griddle with onions--a slow cooking process that takes noticeably longer than most smash-style burgers. The burgers themselves are small. Very small. As a fairly built guy, I could easily eat five double cheeseburgers. For an average adult male, I'd strongly recommend ordering at least two to three from the start. They disappear quickly, and if you decide to order more mid-meal, you'll be waiting a long time. Just commit early and order more than you think you need. We went a little after 10:30 AM on a Saturday morning, and even then the place was already packed. We had to wait about 15 minutes just to sit. For New Jersey, especially at open run, that kind of crowd is almost historic. There's no denying it--this place is a New Jersey burger icon. Interestingly, the familiar older gentleman who's usually front and center wasn't cooking that day. Someone else was on the grill. Whether that's a passing moment or a quiet generational shift, it definitely caught my attention. While waiting for the burgers--which take time--we were asked about fries. The fries came out almost instantly, long before the burgers were ready. Despite being freshly made, they were already quite dry. By the time the burgers arrived, the fries were cold and stiff, making the texture genuinely unpleasant. We hadn't planned on ordering drinks, but my wife was thirsty and ordered a lemonade. Unfortunately, it was hard to drink. The tap-water smell was strong, and honestly, it didn't feel like a beverage anyone should be serving in 2025. And for the price? Let's just say I'd strongly recommend investing in a water filter. It completely killed her appetite. Thankfully, the burgers remain undeniable. Truly delicious. As good as ever. But between the prematurely hardened fries and the off-putting lemonade, the experience left my wife with a very negative impression--which is genuinely disappointing. I may still come back, but next time, it'll probably be takeout only. Ironically, the people picking up to-go orders looked far more comfortable than those eating inside. And given their cooking style, these burgers actually hold up extremely well even after travel. An icon, no question. Just one best enjoyed on your terms.

Really busy and small. Took about 20 minutes to get my burger. Got the cheeseburger with onions. It was so good, moist and flavorful. I lived nearby for 30 years, but never tried it until I came to visit 25 years after moving away. So much time wasted!

Super cool, TINY place to grab some good sliders. Know what you want, listen to the person on the grill. If you can grab a stool sit down and watch the show.

When attending an event in the Meadowlands vicinity, this was a short drive away. A bucketlist destination, is pricier now when factoring in congestion taxes returning to New York. For diners enthusiasts, this place is a must. This is similar to the burger sliders diner in Jersey City, but is more popular than that place. There was a bit of a wait as I sat down shortly before noon after securing my parking spot in the small lot. They were fulfilling takeout orders that had already been phoned in. I was one of the few customers sitting on the small number of stools at the counter. I was impressed as the manager kept track of all the orders being picked up coming through the door, including mine. I was happy with my order, although not the prettiest, it tasted just fine and was cheap.

I ordered two double cheeseburgers, cheese fries, and a strawberry shake. The burgers are small in size but packed with flavor. The beef had that fresh off the grill taste, with the cheese perfectly melted into the patties. The soft buns soaked up just enough juice without falling apart. Cheese fries were classic crispy fries with a generous layer of gooey melted cheese. The strawberry shake was thick, creamy, and had a real fruit flavor instead of tasting artificial. It's a small, old school spot with counter seating and a constant flow of customers, but the service was quick and friendly. The food comes out hot and fresh right in front of you. If you're craving a retro style burger experience, this place delivers on both flavor and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Ok these aren't the best burgers ever. At some point they might have been but that's not today. I would say that White Manna is from a time when life might have been a little less complex. Everything about the place is stuck in a point in time far from today. The 1970s stools, the formica counter, the menu that have the push lettering, and there is barely enough room to stand as you walk in without getting too close to those sitting down. The cooktop is right in front of you when you walk in and all the burgers are made right in front of you. Burgers are served on thin white paper plates which you hand back to staff when you are done. All that doesn't matter to be honest, just order up a few cheeseburgers with onions on the potato buns and you'll forget your surroundings. The burgers are juicy and seasoned well. Go with the double patty as the buns hold two patties well. The staff was really friendly and quick to serve. It's about $2 for a single patty burger. The last time I checked, McDonald's no longer has a dollar menu and these burgers are way better. For that price, I'm down for a few burgers and a ton of nostalgia.

The most famous burger place in North NJ, this small burger hut's reputation spreads long way, even celebrities come here to try it out. The tiny shop sits around 10-12 guests right in front of the grill. First come first serve. The interior is old but still fills up with people waiting to dine-in. They got take out service as well. Probably a better option if you don't want to wait in a congested space. The burgers are tiny sliders. They also serve fries and shakes. They prices are super cheap, a cheeseburger for just $2.50. As I walked in for the first time, I didn't know what to do. The lady cooking the petties told me to wait to order until she asks. So I waited about 5 minutes. It took her about another 10 minutes to cook them. We also got some fries. 2 sliders and fries were only $9, astonishing!!! The sliders were really good. They do live up to the hype. The bread, the paddy, the cheese all of it comes together really well. The fries are basic though. So next time I'll stick to the sliders only, and probably will do takeout.

Really solid affordable sliders. Fries and milkshakes were very good as well. Service was definitely chaotic but with the amount of people in such a small space it was understandable.

Does anyone have a pic of White Manna's Impossible Burger? For a vegetarian, is it worth the $9 when their meat sandwiches are only a few bucks? I'm grateful for the addition to the menu!

With so many options on the menu, I was getting hungry real quick. I ended up getting the chicken parm with vodka sauce sandwich. But the place looked cool with mob vibes, a big screen TV playing Latin hits and a picture gallery filled with past accomplishments. Finally the food came. The sandwich size was pretty big but the grilled chicken was burnt. It overpowered any sauce taste. So it totally lost all its hype. I was hoping the other side was different but it was not. The fries were good and the portion size was generous too. I'm not sure if I want to return to give the other sandwiches a shot or the pizzas since they looked good.

Pizza had fresh mushrooms which I appreciated and lots of cheese. I could use more sauce though as we like our pizzas saucy. Mozz and chicken wings were good, but we should have eaten them right away as you expect those to cool down quickly. I'd want to try a burger next time, so I'll be back.

I was excited to check out this local sports bar in Lodi after seeing all of the positive reviews…read more Honestly, it was a little underwhelming for me. Maybe I just ordered the "wrong things". Either way, my experience didn't live up to the hype. I visited on a late Saturday night. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. The entrance can be tricky to find... It's located in the back on the left-hand side. The exterior and interior are both pretty dark, dull, and dingy. It's not the most inviting atmosphere at first. It has a divey, industrial, and rustic vibe to it, but hey... sometimes the best food comes from places that don't look like much. So I try not to judge. It wasn't too busy, and the service was attentive. The menu has your classic American comfort food - wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They switch it up with daily specials like skirt steak, chicken parm, and pasta. They have a full bar with cocktails, drafts, bottled beers, can ciders, and wines. You can even do a four-beer flight and make it a tasting experience! I ordered: *Dark & Stormy Cocktail [Goslings Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice] ($14) - Not the best one I've had, but it was solid. If you like ginger and rum, this is a must try. The dark rum has hints of caramel which works really well with the spicy ginger beer. The lime juice adds a citrus kick, so it's a really refreshing drink. *Margarita ($18) - As a tequila girly, I've had my fair share of margaritas. This one didn't do it for me. It was a little too sour/tart, which overpowered everything else. *Cubano Sandwich [includes roast pork, black forest ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, and mustard with side of fries] ($16) - I wasn't expecting an authentic Cubano from an American sports bar, so my expectations weren't super high. This was good, but not great. The pork was flavorful, but could've been more tender. I wish there were more pickles and mayo for that extra tangy crunch. The bread was pressed a little too hard, so it was a bit tough to bite through. *Double Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich [includes pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, red peppers, and red onion on brioche with side of fries] ($18) - This was huge and filling! They did not skimp out on the protein. The brioche bun was soft and buttery. The chicken was well seasoned - smoky and savory with crispy charred edges. BUT... to my disappointment, the inside was dry and not juicy at all. Another small issue was the ratio - There was so much chicken compared to the rest of the toppings, so it wasn't the most cohesive sandwich. It really needed more cheese and chipotle mayo to tie all the flavors together. The fries were the best part - thick, crispy, and golden! It's decent bar food, just not the best I've had. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great or memorable. For the price, I didn't feel it was worth it. I do appreciate that their food is served piping hot and fresh. To be fair, this is probably the perfect spot for beer lovers. I happen to not be one, lol. The burger options sound popular and promising too. I'd consider giving them another shot for Happy Hour or to try a burger, but it's not at the top of my list. Just because it's not the sports bar for me, doesn't mean it won't be the one for you.
