Indian food has easily made it into one of my top favorite cuisines this year, so I was excited to try out this new business that just opened up four months ago! Located on Hackensack's Main Street, it specializes in parathas (flatbread) and rice platters. The interior is bright, sparkling clean, and modern. I ordered for pick-up through DoorDash and it was ready within 10-12 minutes. The employees were so friendly and warm! Now I'm not an Indian food veteran so take my review with a grain of salt when it comes to authenticity... but my meal was flavorful! I ordered... *Chicken Tikka Paratha Roll ($10) - This was my first time trying paratha (flatbread) and I loved it. It was flaky and buttery. The chicken was grilled and marinated well. There were freshly chopped onions and pepper. The sauces (tangy cilantro mint and yogurt chutney) were soooooooooo good! My hands were messy after I ate this up. *Plain Lassi ($5) - The perfect way to wash down a savory meal! It's basically like a plain yogurt drink. Slightly tart and very refreshing. Hoping for the best for this new business! Their menu items are very reasonably priced so I can see them blowing up in the future. Next time I'll try one of their platters!

Ordered for a 12 PM pick-up via UberEats. Our order wasn't quite ready within the quoted time but it was fine. Seemed like they were having a lunch rush. I was actually in the mood for a philly cheesesteak, which they had, but I figured I should get a paratha since the place is called Parathas and Platters. We ordered lamb over rice, and a chicken tikka paratha roll. Both were good. The lamb does have a little bit of gamey taste but the yogurt sauce helps. The chicken was definitely the better protein. It looked like it would be dry but it was so tender. The roll comes with some green chutney, which had the perfect amount of kick to it. The paratha was not too thick and made for a perfect vehicle for the chicken. Would definitely order again - maybe I'll try the philly next time.

Stumbled into this place and really glad we did! The menu is truly just more than parathas and platters - while most customers that day had the weekend platter special, this place also serves burgers and sandwiches, fries, parathas, and more. Would highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Paratha - super savory paratha with flavorful chicken and sauce.

Another amazing new joint that opened up in Hackensack. The menu is unique, and the flavors are on point. The service was great for a Thursday afternoon, the restaurant was empty & freshly cleaned. The ambiance is updated & very clean. The bonus is that they have free parking in the back, I learned that after paying for metered street parking. Most importantly, the food is delicious. I have tried their Chicken Qeema Paratha Bihari Kabab Paratha, Omelet Paratha, Onion Paratha, Cheese Paratha, and Aloo Paratha. Additionally, I tried their Spicy Chicken Sandwich. All items are flavorful, prepared quickly, and affordable. All paratha orders (not rolls) come with two parathas. And the salad that comes with the parathas pair perfectly with all parathas, a msut-try. I can't wait to be back to try more menu items. Give them a try!

7/8/24 Chapli Kabab over Rice - very good meal. Chicken Wings - crispy, hubby only comment was he thought the sauce would be on the wings not on the side Mango Lassi was ok Plain inside, but just eat and go.

The chicken tikka rice platter was plentiful and so delicious! The price was right as well and it was enough to share. I will definitely return. The bread- naan -was freshly made, and so good! The lady behind the counter was pleasant. The place was very clean and the interior modern. Great take on Indian fast food!

Parathas & Platters is a great place for tasty, filling food. The rice platters are delicious and come with tender meat and tasty sauces. The place is clean, and the staff is friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

Amazing and affordable platters. We went to the opening day and there were so many people there. The owner is nice and friendly and it's a family owned business which is super cute. I'll come back for sure.

Aloo weekend special was good. The aloo and chana were good, but both needed more spice. But there was plenty of delicious paratha.

There is always a wait at lunchtime regardless if you want to dine in or take out. I have been a fan of what they do for a long time because you just don't see this type of establishments around anymore. They have certainly stood the test of time. Beef patties, smashed with a lot of grilled finely cut onions, then add pickles, American cheese, and some ketchup, on a soft pillowy Martin's potato bread is a can't miss right? This formula has not changed here for decades. Like I said, I really appreciate the deep history. However, if I'm being honest, I wish the beef quality was better and the cook would add a tad more seasoning. For me, their burger has always tasted slightly bland compared to my favorite burger joints. Yet I still come back. Prices are not what it once was either, but what is? It's still very inexpensive. What I consider a large slider rather than a full size burger is still considered good eats in my book. I certainly would stop by when in the neighborhood if the lines are reasonable.

I was excited to check out this local sports bar in Lodi after seeing all of the positive reviews…read more Honestly, it was a little underwhelming for me. Maybe I just ordered the "wrong things". Either way, my experience didn't live up to the hype. I visited on a late Saturday night. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. The entrance can be tricky to find... It's located in the back on the left-hand side. The exterior and interior are both pretty dark, dull, and dingy. It's not the most inviting atmosphere at first. It has a divey, industrial, and rustic vibe to it, but hey... sometimes the best food comes from places that don't look like much. So I try not to judge. It wasn't too busy, and the service was attentive. The menu has your classic American comfort food - wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They switch it up with daily specials like skirt steak, chicken parm, and pasta. They have a full bar with cocktails, drafts, bottled beers, can ciders, and wines. You can even do a four-beer flight and make it a tasting experience! I ordered: *Dark & Stormy Cocktail [Goslings Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice] ($14) - Not the best one I've had, but it was solid. If you like ginger and rum, this is a must try. The dark rum has hints of caramel which works really well with the spicy ginger beer. The lime juice adds a citrus kick, so it's a really refreshing drink. *Margarita ($18) - As a tequila girly, I've had my fair share of margaritas. This one didn't do it for me. It was a little too sour/tart, which overpowered everything else. *Cubano Sandwich [includes roast pork, black forest ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, and mustard with side of fries] ($16) - I wasn't expecting an authentic Cubano from an American sports bar, so my expectations weren't super high. This was good, but not great. The pork was flavorful, but could've been more tender. I wish there were more pickles and mayo for that extra tangy crunch. The bread was pressed a little too hard, so it was a bit tough to bite through. *Double Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich [includes pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, red peppers, and red onion on brioche with side of fries] ($18) - This was huge and filling! They did not skimp out on the protein. The brioche bun was soft and buttery. The chicken was well seasoned - smoky and savory with crispy charred edges. BUT... to my disappointment, the inside was dry and not juicy at all. Another small issue was the ratio - There was so much chicken compared to the rest of the toppings, so it wasn't the most cohesive sandwich. It really needed more cheese and chipotle mayo to tie all the flavors together. The fries were the best part - thick, crispy, and golden! It's decent bar food, just not the best I've had. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great or memorable. For the price, I didn't feel it was worth it. I do appreciate that their food is served piping hot and fresh. To be fair, this is probably the perfect spot for beer lovers. I happen to not be one, lol. The burger options sound popular and promising too. I'd consider giving them another shot for Happy Hour or to try a burger, but it's not at the top of my list. Just because it's not the sports bar for me, doesn't mean it won't be the one for you.

Considering how I had an impulsive meal at McDonald's for $13 of similar portions not too long ago, Marty's is a better deal by miles. The chicken sandwich is nicely battered and arrived slathered in their house sauce that reminds me of In N Out's 'animal' sauce. I like the addition of the sweet pickles, too. And their Cole slaw is actually good; also made in house. The fries used to be thinner, which I miss. But I can't get over how good the salt and vinegar ones are.
