Located on Hackensack's Main Street, it specializes in parathas (flatbread) and rice platters. The interior is bright, sparkling clean, and modern. I ordered for pick-up through DoorDash and it was ready within 10-12 minutes. The employees were so friendly and warm! Now I'm not an Indian food veteran so take my review with a grain of salt when it comes to authenticity... but my meal was flavorful! I ordered... *Chicken Tikka Paratha Roll ($10) - This was my first time trying paratha (flatbread) and I loved it. It was flaky and buttery. The chicken was grilled and marinated well. There were freshly chopped onions and pepper. The sauces (tangy cilantro mint and yogurt chutney) were soooooooooo good! My hands were messy after I ate this up. *Plain Lassi ($5) - The perfect way to wash down a savory meal! It's basically like a plain yogurt drink. Slightly tart and very refreshing. Ordered for a 12 PM pick-up via UberEats. Our order wasn't quite ready within the quoted time but it was fine. Seemed like they were having a lunch rush. I was actually in the mood for a philly cheesesteak, which they had, but I figured I should get a paratha since the place is called Parathas and Platters. We ordered lamb over rice, and a chicken tikka paratha roll. Both were good. The lamb does have a little bit of gamey taste but the yogurt sauce helps. The chicken was definitely the better protein. It looked like it would be dry but it was so tender. The roll comes with some green chutney, which had the perfect amount of kick to it. First time I ordered from here, the food was amazing. I highly recommend the chicken tikka masala rice platter. I've never had a complaint about it. Its topped with fresh chopped onions, tomato, and cilantro. There's plenty of chicken in it. The platter itself is very small for the price, just a heads up. The aloo parathas are my go to. I've tried the one with the meat and the meat was inconsistently placed throughout the paratha. The aloo paratha is good, but could use more filling. Here's where they lost me: the raita- that yogurt sauce that comes with the paratha- is ALWAYS inconsistent. The first time I ordered the paratha this raita was the best i've ever had. It was raita with added tomato and onions. Blew my mind and I ordered it again. Next time they give me a yogurty mess that I wouldn't call a raita. No added anything. The time after that they forgot to include my raita and when I picked it up later, it was another disappointing variation. I've stopped ordering their parathas because of this since I cant eat dry partha by itself and who knows what kind of raita they'll give me. Overall, I continue to get platters from them because they're within walking distance for me and the CTM rice platter is so good. read more

Another amazing new joint that opened up in Hackensack. The menu is unique, and the flavors are on point. The service was great for a Thursday afternoon, the restaurant was empty & freshly cleaned. The ambiance is updated & very clean. The bonus is that they have free parking in the back, I learned that after paying for metered street parking. Most importantly, the food is delicious. I have tried their Chicken Qeema Paratha Bihari Kabab Paratha, Omelet Paratha, Onion Paratha, Cheese Paratha, and Aloo Paratha. Additionally, I tried their Spicy Chicken Sandwich. All items are flavorful, prepared quickly, and affordable. All paratha orders (not rolls) come with two parathas. And the salad that comes with the parathas pair perfectly with all parathas, a msut-try. I can't wait to be back to try more menu items. Give them a try! read more

For the paratha, you will not be able to mix options even though prices are the same. For the price, it doesn't seem to be handmade. There weren't any dips or side salad for the take out version. I saw this new place in hackensack and decided to give it a try. Apparently they aren't that new and there prices don't match up with their website prices. That's one of the main reasons I gave them a lower rating. The portion size was okay for a Kati roll but small for the price imo. The chicken was marinated well. And they gave me some good extra white and green sauce. They both added different flavors to each bite. Neither were overly spicy.
