    Beef Lomo Saltado

The food was so good! I had the lomo saltado. My fiance had the mixed chaufa. My MIL had pollo la brasa. we ate everything so fast, i only remembered to get a picture of mine! Our server was attentive and nice, and the restaurant itself was very clean and had cute decor! im gonna be thinking about this lomo til i can come here again. it was saucy and the portion size was perfect. The steak was tender, ALL of it! Usually when I get steak, i get nervous cuz a lot of places wont trim their steak accordingly, and pieces of fat and gristle get through to the final plate. not this one! I was able to enjoy eeeevery piece! I found myself saying "that lomo was so good" in anguish cuz i knew i wouldnt be able to find anything similarly tasty and quality where i normally live!!! will definitely come back given the chance!

I am so glad we had an impromptu lunch here! It was a quiet Sunday afternoon, we received attentive service, happy to discover it is BYOB, great music selection at a reasonable volume and most importantly the food was authentic and delicious! The decor is very cute and esthetically pleasing.

This place is probably one of the best Peruvian god spots I have had and its nice that its a few blocks away from me. The restaurant is very colorful and bright inside. It feels very welcoming and cheerful. I love all the llamas around the restaurant. Mboyfriend and I really enjoyed our meal here. The Chaufa and Lomo Saltado was delicious. Totally recommend. The service was good, except for the waiter forgetting our drink and I needed to remind him after a while, but otherwise I would return.

The Llama House A Must-Have Experience in Englewood! If you're anywhere near Englewood, NJ, The Llama House is an absolute must-have dining experience! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, vibrant, and welcoming. The décor gives you that authentic Peruvian vibe while still feeling modern and comfortable. The food? Incredible. Every dish is bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The ceviche is unbelievably fresh, perfectly balanced with citrus and spice. The lomo saltado is cooked to perfection -- tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. You can truly taste the authenticity in every bite. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations if it's your first visit. Service is quick without ever feeling rushed, which makes the whole experience even better. If you love bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and a spot that feels special every time you go, this is it. Englewood is lucky to have this gem. I'll definitely be back -- again and again! Five stars all the way!

I enjoyed the food at Llama House and the service was good too! The seafood rice, meat were both seasoned very well and flavorful. The ceviche and linguine al pesto stood out the most. The ceviche had a good balance of tangy and sweet. The fish also tasted fresh. The ambiance is interesting and colorful. The portion was good but the dishes were a bit overpriced I thought. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd give it a 4.2!

Fried seafood platter. Very fresh and tasty.

Went to this new spot, previously Akai, which is nicely decorated in traditional Peruvian art with nice fresh feel. Went with a friend who is Peruvian and he assured me the food is authentic and exactly what he was looking forward to. Staff was friendly and food was very good and fresh. Only drawback is there is no liquor license, so we couldn't enjoy a traditional Peruvian Pisco Sour, or any other booze. We will be back.

Wonderful atmosphere with amazing Peruvian dishes. I had the Lomo Saltado. The meat was tender and delicious. The staff were helpful and very friendly. I'll be back soon.

I've been here twice now, and had to get their roasted chicken both times because it was so good. The chicken is juicy and flavorful, and served with green sauce. I chose chaufa and fries as my two sides, which were good. My husband had ceviche, which tasted fresh and he enjoyed. Will be back again when the Peruvian craving hits!

"The food is delicious!" Is all I heard while our company had our 30 employee appreciation lunch in at Llama house. The experience was perfect, food came out timely, and all the dishes were beautifully prepared. Most of the employees that live around the area have a new Peruvian spot to order from! Definitely recommended this restaurant to my fellow managers to book this place for a team lunch. Thank you again!

Service and ambience were great but the food wasn't what I was expecting. It was decent food but definitely not the quality I expected from such a beautiful restaurant in this neighborhood full of spots. I think overall I couldn't tell if the seasoning was different than I was used to or if some of the ingredients were old. My yuca fries that were part of my jalea were dry and tasted off. Some of the tomatoes in my families lomo saltados tasted old as well and the meat tasted different too. I'm truly not sure if the recipes are flavored differently than I've tried at diff Peruvian restaurants or the food wasn't good. I will say my brother got the best meal, the peruvian chicken rice and beans meal was really yummy! My mom has been here a few times now and has the same feedback so I doubt we will be back. I felt terrible for not liking the food at all since the customer service and non-alcoholic drinks were amazing.

It's refreshing to find a steakhouse that serves food and drinks late on a Sunday night. The decor, vibes, and clientele are upscale. It's not uncommon for exotic cars to pull up at the valet station. We sat at the bar and were waited on by James who had a great personality and a flair for mixing cocktails. The "White Walker" is a long-standing cocktail on the Sofia menu, and it really hit the spot (Ketel One vodka, coconut cream, lychee, lemon and club soda). My wife tried the "Geisha's Lullaby" - a Japanese whisky cocktail with pistachio, lime, falernum and vanilla. This cocktail was outstanding! On the food side, I ordered Cacio E Pepe. I enjoyed it. Not creamy like the typical cacio e pepe, but the pasta was served over a delicious slice of beef carpaccio. I'd rate it a 4.5 of 5.0. To finish the evening, I enjoyed a pour of Redbreast 12 from Sofia's wall of spirits. Whiskey lovers will enjoy the options, including luxury pours. My wife tried a Peaches in Paris cocktail - white peach puree, vodka, lemon, St. Germain, and Peychaud's bitters. The Peychaud's bitters bullied this cocktail making it slightly unbalanced. Overall though, we loved the cocktail program.

I'm used to getting ravioli from an Italian Superstore that's dotted across Long Island. Good? Yeah maybe but what I grew up with? Nah. I'm in The Bronx and I'm going to stop at Borgatti's Ravioli for our Sunday dinner. Walking into the store, it's very small. There are high glass partitions, no touching just pointing. I see the various pastas and ravioli but I want the big suckas. Small ravioli? C'Mon! I made the best red sauce that I will drown these raviolis in a sea of tomatoes. The small raviolis just can't swim in my pot! The older gentleman behind the counter asks if he can help me. I ask him to open the box and actually show me the larger ravioli. Oh baby, they are large and in charge. Why I walked out with one box still boggles my mind because I should have bought 3. I'm not in the area too often and the extra boxes would have carried me through the winter. I hand over my cash and the gentleman says God Bless to me. I'm not getting blessings on Long Island! Typically not a big "restaurant at a hotel food guy" but the experience and food here we're both pretty good. There's a nice choice of seating if you prefer a bar experience or a sit down restaurant experience. We chose to sit down restaurant experience. Our waiter was very friendly and quite attentive. After mulling over the menu we were set for dinner. My colleague had the fillet mignon, medium rare with mushroom and Bolognese sauce. I got the rigatoni with eggplant. The dinner starts out with two rolls and butter. Be sure to ask for a choice of rolls as it appears, there are three or four different options to choose from. They were OK, not warm, a bit on the stale side. My colleague enjoyed the steak saying it was tender and filling. It was juicy and had a lot of flavor to it. The overall feedback was positive. My rigatoni was Al Dante, perfect! The red sauce was just right. Not too sweet nor too tangy. There was a fair amount of eggplant and balls of mozzarella cheese. I added Parmesan cheese sprinkled on the top. Every bit of my meal was eaten. Not all meals include a salad. The filet did include a salad. I had to get a side salad. The salads were a bit small and lacking variety but overall OK. Overall this restaurant is a good choice.
