Went to dinner this evening with friends and I have to say that I was pleasantly delighted. Great Space, covid friendly, friendly staff and tasty food. Our party ordered lomo saltado, two fish dishes, tallarines saltando and bistec a lo pobre. I have to say that being 1/2 Peruvian myself I am quite picky with Peruvian food. Although not like NY Peruvian places, This place did not disappoint. The fried yuca was absolutely delicious. The fried fish was delicious. The lomo saltado was well seasoned, juicy and abundant. The tallarines saltado were good as well. The ceviche mixto had a great taste and presentation. The fish pretty much melted in our mouths.

Came in on a Friday evening around dinner time with family. We had a group of 8, but had no problems getting seated. There is mainly metered street parking, but you might get lucky with residential parking if you're willing to drive around and wait for a bit. For the appetizer, we ordered the Chicharron de Calamares for the table. I would say this dish is large enough for 4 people to share. Calamari tasted a bit too starchy but the yucca fries were great. For the main meal, I ordered the Lomo Saltado Mixto. The sauce was very flavorful and was easily the best part of the dish. You can mix it with the meat or rice. The dish is meant to be family style so there was plenty to take home. Very friendly staff and it's BYOB. Worth a try if you're in the area!

My lord the Anticuchos here with the red salsa is the best I ever had. It comes with corn and sliced potatoes. I also order asado de res(beef) it comes with white rice beans and criolla salad. If you're like spicy ask them to bring the red salsa and splash a little over the plate. Bring some beers and enjoy the company here at La Casa Del Chef

Went here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We dined in. It seemed like they were super busy so it took a few minutes for someone to come over and bring utensils and take our order. We were disappointed to find out that there was no rotisserie chicken available to order at that time. We were told that some chickens were not done cooking and the others were already sold. Guess we came too early? It was around 130pm I ordered arroz chaufa with chicken; and my friend order thinly sliced steak with rice and beans. The portions were pretty good. We took half to go. Flavors were great. Green sauce is always great. Will come back.

A good recommendation to sip along with a tremendous meal. One note: the medium rare was closer to black and blue, and the medium was closer to medium rare. The bread came out first, nice and warm, which was a great start to the meal. We ordered the empanadas, and the meat was delicious, though they definitely could have used a sauce on the side. I also got the soup, which was very tasty. Unfortunately, my main dish lacked flavor. The portion size was good about six pieces but it just didn't have much seasoning. Oddly enough, the onions were the best part of the plate. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and service, and I'd come back to try the seafood next time.

Secondly, their hot drinks are always cold and their cold drinks always lukewarm warm, even out of the refrigerator.. Tonight, I came in for a simple nightcap, thinking, "You can't mess up coffee and a cheese ball." I ordered a hot coffee, 4 pan de bonos, 2 pan de quesos, and 4 empanadas de carne -- total: $31.92. Well... they proved me wrong. The coffee was cold and had no sugar, despite me specifically requesting it. The empanadas were dripping in oil. Tonight, some of us are returning to Segovia Mesón after a hiatus of 4 years. The reservation was easily made by calling the restaurant. Upon arrival inside, with the warm and inviting earth tones making a very relaxed vibe, we were greeted by the host and got a table in one of the three rooms. The menu offers an appealing array of tapas, paellas, and traditional Spanish dishes bursting with authentic flavors. As appetizers, we decided on a dozen East Coast Oysters and Ecargots Segovia. Our main entree consisted of Scallops and Shrimp, Stuffed Shrimp, Short Ribs, Whole Baked Branzino, and Veal Castellana unfortunately with no substitution. Rice, Broccoli and Potato Chips accompanied our meal to be shared by everyone. Complimentary European-style rolls with butter started our meal. Each bite was a testament to the chef's dedication to quality and craftsmanship. However, the shrimps were not only overcooked but also tasteless. The scallop and jumbo shrimp dish looked more like an appetizer than a main. The service was courteous and attentive; our server was Silvano, who was friendly. The price was a bit steep. Be warned: come with an empty stomach, which we continue to recommend.
