    Lobster ravioli
    Jes O.

The restaurant itself was a bit restricted with space but that wasn't a big deal. Our service was slow and we barely saw our waiter but to give them the benefit of the doubt it was near closing time. We started with the calamari appetizer and it was delicious perfectly paired with a nice marinara sauce. I had the lobster ravioli which was featured in their special. It was really good. One of our kids had the skirt steak, which was perfectly cooked and she enjoyed. Our other kid had the sirloin steak, that one was overcooked and lacked some flavor. My gf ordered the lobster and that could not be eaten because it still had the lobster poop. Overall, some dishes were better than the others and my reason for giving it a 3.

    - Spacious restaurant with what appears to be multiple dining rooms; private parking lot, which was empty when we arrived for a Sunday lunch right at opening - The interior is traditional and rustic, creating a cozy and comfortable dining atmosphere--though it was a bit surprising to hear contemporary pop music playing in the background - It seems that only the dinner menu is offered on weekends, as we were not presented with the lunch menu that is listed online - Service was mostly efficient and cordial; however, our appetizers (Pulpo Plancha and Stuffed Mushrooms) never arrived before our entrées; we were disappointed to have to cancel them once the main dishes came out - The food overall was very enjoyable and generously portioned: Surf and Turf filet mignon was cooked perfectly to a medium as requested, and the lobster tail was impressively large and succulent; Paella Valenciana was full of deep seafood flavor and loaded with shrimp, mini scallops, clams, mussels, sausage, and chicken--the rice was soft and fluffy, though the chicken was slightly dry; the fish in the Parrillada tasted a bit overly fishy and the dish leaned soggy, but the rest of the seafood was fresh, well-cooked, and tasty; sides of Roasted Potatoes and Spinach were solid complements - Desserts were a highlight: Crema Catalana was creamy and not overly sweet, though the sugar crust was quite thick; Coppa Pistachio was rich with nutty pistachio flavor--my birthday wish should have been not having to share it!

The last time I visited this restaurant in 2022, I just graduated with my Master's Degree and it was a large party. The food and service was so amazing that I've been wanting to come back so I took my sister here for her birthday. Again the service was great, water remained refilled, plates were cleared as needed and the waiter was nice enough to put on food network for the birthday girl (she LOVES to watch food network while she eats lol). Everything we ordered tasted great especially the ribeye, it was the star of the show highly recommend giving this place a try if you haven't already. Note: they do charge extra for card payments so bring cash unless you don't mind.

I've been aware of this spot for over a year, and thank goodness my friend called me up and said "it's time". This was a very nice experience and at a good price point. The place is bigger than it looks from the outside, has a great, friendly staff, and a full bar. Before I continue, you just HAVE to respect a place that puts on its menu "We do not recommend Medium Well or above" for their steaks. Respect!. We started off with a delicious meat and cheese plate that had jamon iberico (pata negra), chorizo iberico, salchichon iberico, 6 month manchego cheese, and marinated olives. We also got the oysters rockefeller which were delicious. The bread that comes out when you sit down was also fantastic. For our mains, we got medium rare steak. The steak comes with homemade chips and rice. For good measure, we also got a side of mushrooms that hit the mark. This is the original location, and I hear the others are just as good, so don't worry about which one you choose. We will be back for some spanish dishes. Enjoy!

    Sangria and amazing bread

After hearing about this place for years, I finally tried it. DELICIOUS! Everything was great! The Sangria was fantastic. The bread was amazing! Warm and crispy and perfect to dip into the Garlic Shrimp. Those were absolutely amazing! The roasted garlic was so good!!!!! We had the white bean soup with our entree and it was so delicious. My fiancé got the filet which was like butter and I got the skirt steak. Yummmmmm Looking forward to my next meal here!

    Broccoli Rabe

Cozy restaurant with a yummy menu. Their bread is delicious -- always a good indicator of the food that follows. Everything we ordered was solid, makes me believe that you can order anything off the menu and be satisfied. Personally loved the broccoli rabe and lamb chops. Would recommend for a nice dinner with the family/ friends!

    Old fashioned

The old fashioned here is exceptional--perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and a bold, smooth bourbon and orange finish. Highly recommended if you appreciate a well-crafted cocktail!

We been here 2x in the last 3 months. First time we were invited for a family gathering, 2nd time we came because we couldn't get enough of the delicious food and great service the staff provides. Chuetas ajillo are to die for, grillled octopus is excellent quality, the dinner plates are big, we learned that is best to smik appetizers otherwise we cannot finish main courses. They really deliver a consistent degree of flavors, quality and friendly service. Be ready for dinner early but 5pm on weekends, place gets super busy especially for a table of 6 or more. Great wine selection on reds, i love the bread and butter, to be honest we could barely finish our main courses. So we end up taking a doggie bag home for leftovers for the next day lunch! Highly recommend this family restaurant!

Family-owned Spanish restaurant that's been in the same location for decades. Reservations are a must as the place is popular and typically crowded with a long wait. Ambiance is authentic Spanish restaurant -- dark and a little loud, but not in a festive, not negative, way. Appetizers slayed: the raw oysters and grilled calamari were absolutely delicious! Margaritas were ok, but I'd probably go with a martini, wine, or sangria next time. Dinner came with a choice of soup or house salad. I had the salad and enjoyed it. I ordered the boneless sirloin medium rare and it was more medium well -- probably continued to cook on the sizzling metal plate. However, one of my companions ordered the Salmon Pescatore (salmon with mixed seafood in a light tomato sauce) and he enjoyed it very much. The hand cut fried potato chips were totally addictive and the flan was fine. Next time I would order the oysters for an appetizer and grilled calamari with chips and broccoli for dinner.

Food was great! Meals with sangria were a great pair recommended with cheese board and shrimp tapas as appetizers, steak with chimichurri sauce so good. Great service, a good place for any kind of celebration. We had a birthday party here :)

Tonight, some of us are returning to Segovia Mesón after a hiatus of 4 years. The reservation was easily made by calling the restaurant. Upon arrival inside, with the warm and inviting earth tones making a very relaxed vibe, we were greeted by the host and got a table in one of the three rooms. The menu offers an appealing array of tapas, paellas, and traditional Spanish dishes bursting with authentic flavors. As appetizers, we decided on a dozen East Coast Oysters and Ecargots Segovia. Our main entree consisted of Scallops and Shrimp, Stuffed Shrimp, Short Ribs, Whole Baked Branzino, and Veal Castellana unfortunately with no substitution. Rice, Broccoli and Potato Chips accompanied our meal to be shared by everyone. Complimentary European-style rolls with butter started our meal. Each bite was a testament to the chef's dedication to quality and craftsmanship. However, the shrimps were not only overcooked but also tasteless. The scallop and jumbo shrimp dish looked more like an appetizer than a main. The service was courteous and attentive; our server was Silvano, who was friendly. The price was a bit steep. Be warned: come with an empty stomach, which we continue to recommend.

The parking lot was packed so I expected there to be a wait but was pleasantly surprised when our party of 5 (plus a baby!) was seated right away. The place is lively and a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. There's a stage/dance floor in the middle so I can imagine it can turn kind of clubby later in the night. Interestingly, the menus are all tablets and while really cool at first, it got annoying when a couple of our menus started to glitch. High tech but also leaves more room for failure. The service was friendly though and decently quick. We ordered a few appetizers and they came out in a reasonable amount of time. We got a sampler, croquettas, and a tamal. Everything tasted great so I had high hopes for our entrees. I went with the Mother's Day Special Relleno (stuffed) Salmon. It was a little overcooked but still really tasty. I believe it was stuffed with some crab meat and cheese. I also really liked the sauce that covered it. My dad got oxtail and it was seasoned very well but the oxtail pieces were cooked inconsistently. Some were soft and came off the bone very easily while others were tough to the point I had to use my hands to gnaw the meat off the bone. Everyone else's dishes were pretty good too. All in all La Havana 59 seems like a solid Cuban spot. I'd come back.

I've visited multiple locations over the past few years and I've never been disappointed! They don't miss! No matter which spot I go to, the quality of the food, the warm service, and the lively ambiance are consistently amazing. We visited the Rochelle Park location on a Saturday night. It's right on Rt17 with a large parking lot, but it was packed when we arrived. There was a line of cars backed into the highway waiting for valet service. It's complimentary, so tip as you please. I honestly don't like to valet my car...... especially when I could easily park it myself right there LOL. But we didn't have a choice. *shrug* As always, Rumba's vibrant atmosphere didn't disappoint. You can feel the energy as soon as you walk in! The upbeat Latin music will have you swaying, I promise ;) The interior beautifully captures the culture and history of Cuba with colorful artwork, tropical plants, rattan pendant lamps, and large murals of Havana. It has a touch of elegance without feeling too upscale, so this restaurant is perfect for casual dining and special occasions like celebrations or date nights. We didn't have reservations and had to wait around 15 minutes for a table for two. No biggie - we sipped at the bar until our table was ready! The menu offers traditional Cuban dishes like ropa vieja, vaca frita, and bistec de palomilla along with a variety of tapas, mofongos, sandwiches, and sides. I ordered: *Taino Cocktail [El Jimador Reposado Cristalino, Ancho Reyes Verde, Tamarindo Pure, Agave Syrup, Fresh Lime Juice] ($14.95) - Oooo this was a sweet & spicy mix with a strong tequila finish! It's like a spicy margarita with a tropical twist. *Caribbean Punch Cocktail [Tanduay White Rum, Tanduay Gold Rum, Plantation Overproof Rum, Lime Juice, Guava, Orange, Pineapple Juice, Grenadine] ($13.95) - This drink was screaming my name! It's fruity, refreshing, and makes you feel like you're on an island. I just wish it had a liiiiiiitle more rum for a stronger punch, and that the glass wasn't filled with so much ice. *Ropa Vieja [shredded beef stewed in a sauce made with tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, garlic, cumin, olives, and sherry wine] ($15.95) - Cuba's national dish! The tomato-based sauce was perfectly seasoned and the beef was sooo tender... melt-in-your-mouth type of tender! My tummy was happy, but I wish the portion size was bigger! I paired it with a side order of tostones (fried plantains) and arroz blanco (white rice) with frijoles negros (black beans). The fluffy rice soaked up the rich sauces of the black beans & ropa vieja, so every bite was savory heaven~ The tostones were sliced, deep fried, and smashed to perfection. Crispy tostones + garlic mojo sauce = a perfect pairing. I could eat these all day! The only thing that's really missing here is...Can you guess? A DANCE FLOOR. Once they make room for that, y'all know where to find me. I'll be at the bar for drinks first and then dancing later! Need to satisfy your Cuban cravings? Look no further. Put some rumba in your step and head over here!
