The food is good and it can definitely be shared. They have Karaoke on Friday and a dJ on the lower level. The drinks were good. The service was good they accommodated a table of 25 for us. The upper level we had absolutely no issues with our dinner or with our bill. They did tell us we couldn't split the bill - we wanted 4 for our table of 25. Which of course they wanted to charge us the extra fees. They added the 22% gratuity and a service fee on top of that which was like 4%. We paid -- no issues there. My only complaint is that while We were downstairs in the club area the "bottle girls" kept trying to push us to pay as a group so they can could obviously make more in tip. They added the gratuity to the billl on our table of 4. whether you like it or not which is fine - but they don't even pay attention to you and they want the full 22%. We had to at one point get up and ask the bartender to help us because the bottle girls wouldn't bring us the bill or our drinks. I'll gladly tip- but damn at least service the table lol

Food was amazing!! I had the seafood rice and it was perfection and a huge portion. Not overly salty. Service started off rough. However once we brought it to someone's attention everything went smoothly! For this night there was a singer and it made this place a good night out! Overall you can come here for dinner with friends or even a date!

I will start with yes it's very pricey especially when there are a ton of other Peruvian restaurants that will likely be less expensive however for the experience it's okay. They do charge tip automatically which they do at other locations of this specific chain as well. Service is okay. Seems slow on busy days. Good thing their menu is on the iPad because you can make a wishlist and use that to order with since it was super loud the night we went. Great live singer. My lychee martini was amazing but again pricey. Food was good. My fave is the rotisserie chicken because it is flavorful. Lomo supremo is okay. Needs more flavor but their green sauce helps. The calamari was also tasty.

First time visiting this incredible hidden gem in Hawthorne, NJ. The drink menu had great cocktails, beer, wines, and much more. The food was DELICIOUS! They truly have something for everyone. I can't wait to visit again and try more things. This establishment has 2 floors. The upstairs area is more of dinner vibes often with live music and brighter ambience. Downstairs has a nightclub vibe, DJ, and lots of dancing. The service was spot on. Food came out quickly and hot.

This place was recommended to us from a family member. We were in the area and drove by, so decided to give it a chance. It was pretty empty because it was early in the day. So I can't review the lounge aspect of it. By looks of it - could be very lively at night. The decor was very nice. Good for pictures. My ceviche and Jalea tasted excellent. My cocktail was well made. They have a large screen tv to watch sporting event. They have many menu options except in the dessert department. They had only to 2 options of which neither was a typical Peruvian dessert.

Kinda a tacky-tourist vibe with over-the-top florals all over the place. Wait staff does not listen to the customers at all. Understanding English is problematic but the wait staff either doesn't understand or refuses to and will just repeat something totally different than what you just ordered. Then they totally disappear until check time. And the food, well...presentation is everything, and I mean everything because the food is rather bland though their sauces try to compensate.

I love Peruvian food and couldn't wait to give this restaurant a try. When I arrived I parked in the private lot. I walked in, and the restaurant was super cute. They had beautiful paintings upstairs and downstairs. We were greeted and sat at a booth. Our server was Isaura, and she was awesome. We started with some cocktails and I really enjoyed the sangria. We then went to the appetizers and I ordered the pichanguitas and that dish was delicious! For my meal, I got the shrimp lomo saltado, and boy, was it delicious! My friend enjoyed her chaufa with steak and skirt steak with shrimp. It was an absolute good time!

This place has authentic and fresh traditional Peruvian cuisine with a new cocktail menu with extra flair! The smoking tiki was probably my favorite. My friend and I shared the chaufa mixto which came with fillet and also chopped chicken. Oh my god so delicious and then our server, Mel recommended that we get the molcajete which is basically like a giant cauldron filled with sizzling cheese, and an array of meats, including sausage, chicken, steak, and shrimp with Tostones, for dipping! If you have not been to this place, it should be the next spot on your list!

    Love it here.

Hanging with friends who have never been here. We shared the mussels and the calamari. Both amazing and good size portions. For dinner I had the skirt steak that was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor. Sandra had the combo fish with the white sauce. Sorry forgot the name. It was fantastic. After dinner we went downstairs to the club area for some drinks and dancing. Great evening. Food is always good and prices are fair. Enjoy

Kitchen view; Nice sized bar with all the good stuff; Excellent food and drinks! Big public parking lot next door. But keep in mind it doesn't come cheap. What looks (and is) very casual is still in Westwood ( an always evolving Foodie town). A true artisanal menu. I suggest you look at the menu and Google some terms because you're going to see some ingredients & foods that are not common place. Multiple types of Mozzarella ( and other cheeses) Home made pastas that you don't always see anywhere (no penne or spaghetti here!) Our group of four is infamous for ordering A LOT off the menu and sharing; No two like items here. Apps Choose a basket of one of the bread choices; Make sure you try some cheeses ( REAL Italian burrata and REAL Italian buffalo mozzarella from Italy here!) A MUST--Italian Stracciatella ( stringy & soft cheese like Mozzarella with house made Hummus in a Roasted Garlic Pinsa Romana that came with pita. Even the hot honey mozzarella sticks made a common item great. Entrees ( all good sized servings) and after all the yummy cheeses & Apps you can expect to have a take-home container. --I loved the Chicken & Sausage Cutlet Milanese Scarpariello with Rosemary; topped with cooked onions & peppers (not a old salad as one would expect with a Milanese. However they did have the traditional chicken Milanese topped with a Cesar salad that looked awesome. --the Trottole (pasta) with Short Rib Ragu | Mozzarella Whey | Belper Knolle ( a shaved, seasoned cheese) was like nothing Ive ever had and everyone loved it. --the Fussilli pasta with Basil Pesto | Whipped Ricotta | Pine Nut was also fantastic! --Spicy Rig(atoni pasta) with Stracciatella (cheese) | Sicilian Oregano | Basil; another somewhat common dish but here stands out among some of the best. Desserts-- Although the Samoa Cookie (like in those great girl Scout cookies) Cheesecake sounded amazing but the 4 of us split 2 orders of the --Butter Cake with Vanilla Gelato | Berries | Zabaglione sauce; and it was perfection. Light as a feather buttery yellow cake with all of that was the prefect way to end this meal. A true MUST if you like great food and like to try different versions of things. Everything is expensive so I get it but it just didn't blow my bra onto the bathroom ceiling. 260 a couple and one wasn't drinking is reasonable If anything was wow...the best bite of the night was the 10.00 fresh table side bite of mozzarella...it's the one thing we've circled back to talking about over the evening. 26 of those bites would have been way cooler and delicious...which is a good idea for next time. Clams, tasty breadcrumbs. Couldn't find a clam...with both hands, it tasted good if not a little dry just didn't really get "clam" Mozzarella sticks....tasty breadcrumbs and hot honey. But no pull. Focaccia? Over well?? Dark on All sides and only ordered bc our entree was "saucy"...plot twist...it was not. Inventive with the sausage chicken cutlet but scarpiello is supposed to be spicy, sharp...this was roasted peppers on a sausage chicken cutlet with not a drop of sauce. (We shared this, decent serving but for the price you couldn't even garnish the plate?) Chicken scarpimellow maybe ? Cocktails? Tiny and just ok, nothing to write home about and a lot of "just bc you can doesn't mean you should" I want a cocktail with alcohol not molecular gastronomy in a shot glass. The espresso martini was very good, I will give them a 9 on that. The staff was the star, friendly attentive but I can't say knowledgeable because the focaccias sole purpose was for sauce that didn't exist and she didn't come back to ask so here we are with focaccia that came out before apps for an entree that didn't need it. The worst element was that at various points the restaurant was filled with an acrid smell of burning plastic or food or something and it was very off putting but it wasn't a delicious scent. Also, for the vibes and the cost the influencer in gym shorts really throws that whole mood yes society is more casual now but gym shorts aren't really appropriate at any restaurant with the same price point. I'd give it another shot in the future maybe just for cocktails and hand fed cheese.

Rather than sitting in the bar area, we asked to be seated in the dining area. There were a few typical bar items on the menu - burgers, fries, and chicken wings. We ordered a few things. Spicy Tuna Tartare: wasn't spicy, didn't taste fresh which wasn't a deterrent to me as this isn't a seafood restaurant or fine dining. Next time I'd pass on that. Bavarian Pretzel: amazing. Very tasty. Came out nice and hot. That rarebit cheese sauce? Oh honey that can come home with me anytime. Absolutely delicious. And this is coming from someone who hates that fake cheese, cheese whiz type taste. Margherita Pizza: didn't come out hot which is probably why I wasn't a fan of it. It was pretty mediocre for such a basic pizza. And the food didn't come out all together, so not sure why that didn't come out hot. Wings and waffles: Tasty buffalo wings. The waffles actually taste like funnel cake which was a nice surprise. THEN. The burger came out and that is why this review dropped. It had a small hair on the side of the plate and a closer look at the rest of the plate, you'll see a long hair on the pickle. That was disappointing but happy to have tried the place nonetheless.

We stopped in mid-week for a family dinner after work and even on a Wednesday the place was buzzing. The restaurant itself is pretty tiny, which makes for a cozy atmosphere but also means tables are very close together. If you can, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. The menu is somewhat minimal, but the food overall was good. I eat gluten-free and noticed the options were a bit limited, which made ordering slightly challenging. I ended up going with the sea scallops. They were nicely cooked, but the portion was smaller than I expected--five small scallops with some vegetables. For the price, I do wish the portion had been a bit more generous. I have to admit I left still a little hungry. My dad ordered the short rib grilled cheese and really enjoyed it. That was probably the standout dish at our table. My sister ordered the honey bourbon chicken and said it was okay, but afterward she mentioned she probably should have gone with the short rib grilled cheese instead. One surprise of the night was live music on a Wednesday. I usually enjoy live music, but since we were hoping to catch up as a family it made conversation a little difficult. The music was fairly loud for such a small space. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. They also have a rewards program, which worked out nicely--my dad received a complimentary dessert for his birthday. I ordered the crème brûlée, which was a great way to end the meal. A couple practical tips: parking in Ridgewood can be tricky. The restaurant advertises valet parking, though we didn't use or see it during our visit. If you find street parking, make sure to feed the meter because the town is known for giving out tickets. In warmer months they do offer some outdoor sidewalk seating, though it looks fairly limited. It also appears they have a happy hour, though we didn't arrive in time to try it. Overall, I'd recommend checking out Steel Wheel Tavern--just be mindful of the timing of your visit, especially if you're hoping for a quieter dinner.

The tuna tataki was flavorful; however, the taro chips were very thin and tended to break easily when holding the tuna. For our main courses, we ordered the Icelandic cod, rigatoni, Freebird chicken, and a side of whipped potatoes. Dessert was the hazelnut chocolate crunch, which was a nice way to end the meal. Overall, the food was enjoyable. That said, the pricing felt more in line with a fine dining experience, while the atmosphere and service were closer to an upscale casual restaurant.
