Absolutely love The Sky Restaurant! I'm becoming a regular lol. Had the chicken quesadilla for starters and then the Caesar Salad with shrimp, finished up with a slice of strawberry cheesecake... Everything was 5 Star! Also if you're into Jon alcoholic drinks like I am.. ask for the Blueberry NoJito.. you won't regret it!

Oh boy. Normally, I will try to find every positive I can about a location before I review it, however, I've come up quite short. An awesome jazz band was scheduled to play, so my partner called ahead to make reservations. It was extremely difficult to get connected to Sky itself, but ultimately we ended up with a reserved table for four near the band. Upon our arrival on a Friday night, we entered the elevator of the hotel and let ourselves out right into Sky. It was pretty dead, which might explain why there was no host to help us. We killed time chatting with the band and eventually, a worker came up to us and seated us at our reserved table. The view is amazing and could definitely have the potential to be an amazing space, but it falls way too short. I sat in a chair that was actually broken aka a hazard, I had to move the chair and swap it with another because no staff could be found. Not a huge issue, but it definitely wasn't swaying my opinion of the place. We received menus and noticed it was so loaded with spelling errors and we subsequently made a game of who could tally up the most mistakes first. The food menu was minimal and unappealing, so we decided to stick with (overpriced) drinks. My partner asked for a bottle and he was told that they had no bottles. Fast forward about 45 minutes, we see patrons at the bar with bottles and cans. We weren't sure why they were able to order them, but we didn't dwell on it. We all agreed that the space has a ton of potential, but definitely isn't being invested in, which is a shame. The only sky you need to be concerned about is the one you're looking up to when wondering why you chose to visit this place.

The dip trio was good, the spinach dip was mediocre but the hummus and guac were nice. All of our entrees were tasty - the wasabi mayo on the tuna sandwich has a good kick & they put cinnamon sugar on their sweet potato fries, two interesting but good variations from the norm. Agreed to valet since it was complementary and we didn't really want to cross a sort of busy street. The place itself is extremely nice inside. The bar is huge with lots of TV's playing all sorts of sports they also had a good number of booths around it. They also have a whole upstairs where you can chill when there is event nights (music, trivia, etc) They had a nice drink menu I ordered was an orange-brew creamsicle drink. Was in a large glass so was definitely worth the money and they did not water anything down. Very refreshing!! Hubby ordered an ON Tap The Bowlero Snort Donut Forget About Me (cider) which was extremely good. I ordered which is pictured a French dip with American cheese, and did an upcharge ($6.00) for Parmesan truffle fries. My sandwich was delicious. Very tender meat and the roll it came on was very fresh loved the au jus and the French Fries. I'd go back just to get those as an appetizer. My husband got the MBH filet mignon steak sandwich (w/o mushrooms) on focaccia bread... I did take a picture but it didn't save in my phone. He loved it. He's the type to eat everything on his plate and he could only finish half because it was such a nice size portion. Our server Ariel (I hope that is his name - I'm looking on my receipt and that's what it says) was so nice and attentive. He told us about the different theme nights they have, how packed they get etc. An A+ server. Realizing how close this was to our house we are pretty excited to put it into our rotation and try more items on the menu and hopefully go on theme nights. Overall great fun place to bring family, hang out, watch sports, or sit at the bar & just chat.

She was very attentive and made our meal pleasant and comfortable. I started with a Blood Orange Margarita (Calirosa 'Rosa Blanca' Tequila, orange liqueur, fresh sour, blood orange). This drink was VERY GOOD. The hint of blood orange was the perfect amount of sweetness and I was content with my selection. The appetizer was the Slow-Roasted Meatballs (porcini-dusted veal, pork, grass-fed beef, tomato-basil sauce, brick-oven bread). Each meatball was tender, flavorful, well seasoned, and the sauce was sufficient to accompany every forkful of the delicious starter. The entrees were: Caramelized Sea Scallops (broccolini, mascarpone risotto). Next was the Seasonal Brick-Oven Gnocchi (roasted mushrooms, truffle oil, roasted tomatoes, Marsala and provolone sauce, green onions). The final entree was the Mediterranean Wood-Grilled Chicken Salad (arugula, toybox tomatoes, kalamata olives, red onions, chickpeas, quinoa, feta, lemon dijon vinaigrette). For dessert, Seasons 52 graciously offered a free dessert for my birthday. Another nice touch that places Seasons 52 on a pedestal. I chose the Key Lime Pie Mini (graham cracker crust, whipped cream). The mini dessert was deliciously sweet, the graham crust provided an appreciated different texture, and I highly recommend these mini selections.

Started off with the Cowboy Calamari ($19.95) and it was delicious. The calamari was nice and crispy, it was drizzled with some sort of sweet sauce. This was actually the highlight of the night, I highly recommend getting this. For my main, I ordered the 12 oz ribeye ($24.95) with onion rings ($4). The ribeye was bigger than 12 oz, it was huge. I got it medium but it came out medium rare, which if fine with me. The ribeye was good and very filling, just know you get what you pay for. A quick heads-up: on Google Maps it's listed as Ceviche 517, but the sign on the building says Tavern 517, which initially threw us off. We were circling around until we decided to just trust the physical address--and we're so glad we did. As soon as we walked in, the name didn't even matter anymore. The decor is stunning--definitely has an upscale, Instagram-worthy vibe with a modern lounge feel. We might've come a little early because the place was quiet when we arrived, but that worked in our favor as we got to settle in comfortably and explore the menu. Drinks were a mixed experience. We tried the margarita flight, which included coconut, passion fruit, and strawberry. The coconut and passion fruit margaritas were absolutely delicious--fresh, balanced, and memorable. The strawberry, however, was a big miss--tasted like kid's medicine and no one at the table could finish it. We also ordered a drink called something like Chicola--it had ginger ale, lime juice, and some type of liquor, and unfortunately, it was another one we couldn't get through. The flavors just didn't mix well, and everyone at the table agreed it was a no for us. On the flip side, the Perfect Mule with a strawberry twist, the Henny Mojito, and a bold and fun drink called No Sheets were much better received. Menus are displayed on sleek tablets, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that the in-house menu offered way more options than what's listed online. And the food? Absolutely excellent. The Tallarín Saltado with vegetables was beyond delicious--we placed it in the center so everyone could dig in. The ceviche flight was fresh and flavorful, and the jalea (a fried seafood platter) didn't last long on the table either. One friend had the larger ceviche bowl paired with a mojito and already asked to come back just for that combo. Even the kid's arroz chaufa with chicken impressed us, with a big enough portion for leftovers. If there's one thing that fell flat, it was the atmosphere--at least early in the evening. When we arrived, the music playing sounded like retro video game tunes, but thankfully it transitioned into upbeat Spanish hits, including some great bachata that gave the space some energy. All in all, despite a few drink misses and a quiet start, this spot is a gem. The food alone is worth the trip, and we're definitely planning to return--next time a little later in the evening to hopefully catch a livelier vibe!

I was honestly surprised that at 2pm on a Sunday there was still a wait for just two people--but that usually says something about a place's popularity. Once seated, the restaurant was clean and well-kept, and our server was attentive throughout the meal. The only hiccup was the coffee--it took a bit longer than expected to arrive, which felt extra noticeable since we were craving a caffeine boost post-race. That said, the Marshmallow World cold brew was worth the wait and hit the spot perfectly. Food-wise, no complaints. I ordered The Goat omelet, which paired really nicely with the cold brew. I especially appreciated that they offer gluten-free bread--always a win when places make that effort, and it didn't feel like an afterthought. Parking is plentiful, which is a big plus for this area. Just a heads up: depending on traffic, getting on and off Route 4 can be a little tricky. The only downside? They close at 3pm, so our post-run brunch felt a little rushed--we definitely would've lingered longer if time allowed . A winning post-5k brunch that makes the early miles totally worth it.

With over 180 wing flavors to choose from, the only problem you will have is deciding because you will want to explore this seemingly never ending list. These are a couple of the wings I explored: Peanut Butter & Jelly Wings: These wings were smothered in creamy peanut butter with a heaping mound of jelly. At first I was reluctant to explore this unusual combination, but as soon as I gave it a try, it was love at first bite. Feel free to smear or dip; the choice is yours. S'mores Wings: This is another unique, but unbelievably savory combination. These dessert style wings were smothered in marshmallow cream, drizzled with chocolate syrup, and sprinkled with crushed pieces of graham crackers. It was a sight for sore eyes. If you need additional chocolate sauce don't be afraid to ask for "s'more." And make sure you request "s'more" napkins because you will certainly need them! In addition to the wings, I also explored one of the main courses. Blue 42 Burger: Named after the restaurant, this burger is topped with mozzarella sticks, blue cheese crumble and bacon. The Blue 42 char on top of the bun has a nice decorative touch. If you are a fan of the Green Bay Packers, you have come to the right spot. The interior is decorated with Packers memorabilia, which even includes wall art on the ceiling. All fans are still welcome even if you aren't an aficionado of the Packers. The restaurant staff also supports New Jersey's finest, New Jersey's bravest, the ambulance corp, and the armed forces.
