I was so disappointed this summer. I was in New Jersey and I had been waiting to have my customary bagel and it turns out the business was on vacation and I went to get my bagel in the morning and they were closed! So this time I was very excited that they were open and I got my favorite toasted sesame bagel with lox cream cheese spread. Their lox spread is so good. It makes my eyes roll to the back of my head and there is nothing like a North Jersey/New York bagel. There is just no comparison here in PA that I have found. This place also has great iced coffee. You just order the cup size you want and they fill your cup with ice and hand you the cup and then you go to the iced coffee dispenser and fill up your cup and they have four different types of syrup you can put in along with skim milk, 2% and cream. Their coffee is very smooth and not bitter at all. They make bagel breakfast sandwiches and you can of course get the local Taylor pork roll sandwich too. I noticed that this time they now have touchscreens for credit card orders. But you can still order from a cashier because if you pay cash, you don't have to pay a 3% credit card charge. The parking lot out front is very small, but if you turn into Kenny Place where the Crowne Plaza hotel is, you can actually park behind the bagel place and then just walk around the front. They get quite busy but they are quite efficient in their service. And I enjoyed my bagel eating it bite bite bite on my long six hour journey home.

Bagel was fresh and so tasty. Eggs cooked to perfection and cheese melted enough to bring everything together. Service was fast and ambiance was homey. Will def come back!

Visited Midland Bagels as it was located adjacent to our hotel. I am not a big fan of bagels, but my everything bagel with two eggs, sausage, and cheese was tasty. I only ate half of it though because it was Thanksgiving and I didn't want to ruin my appetite. The service is top notch. These people bend over backwards to get your order taken and to make your order fast. They pumped through a line of customers in no time. And the orders were correct. The bagel was hot and fresh and if bagels are your thing, I'd definitely recommend this establishment. Fast service!

Stopped by Midland Bagel for a quick bite while in Jersey. I couldn't miss the place ... there was a line out the door! When that's the first thing I see, I'm thinking, 'this is a place I gotta try'. Parking up front was all taken and the side street was also out of the question so I parked in a lot in the back. Now let's get to the good part .. the food. I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese on a roll and my son ordered a garlic bagel with scallion cream cheese. I throughly enjoyed my sausage, egg and cheese. I was quite happy (not gonna lie) when I saw that Midland wasn't cheap with the sausage as they put 2 sausage pattys in the breakfast sandwich. My son's only complaint was that there wasn't enough scallion cream cheese in the bagel ... but I'm not going to take a star away knowing that the amount of cream cheese given was enough for a regular person, not a growing 14 year old who loves scallion cream cheese. Would I come back? Absolutely!! Wishing Midland Bagels and Grill continued success!!!

My boyfriend and I have been eyeing this spot since we moved to the area almost 2 years ago and finally made our way over. Our order included a Toasted Sesame Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese, a Plain Bagel with Cinnamon Raisin Cream Cheese, and a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a Croissant. I had the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a Croissant and I personally loved it. The eggs weren't too runny or too overcooked and the bacon was crunchy. Pretty straightforward. 1000x better than a Dunkin or Starbucks sandwich. I love how you can order online and pick up your order in a device that keeps the orders warm. I'll update my review when I try that! The only downside is that parking is a bit tricky. We saw a bunch of people park on the side street and that seems like the way to go if you don't want to deal with the exiting on the main road. We will be back!

Came before noon and picked up some bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwiches and two plain bagels and honey walnut cream cheese to go. The breakfast bagels were great, really flavorful and good portions/ratio. The honey walnut cream cheese for the plain bagel was ok imo, could've been a tad sweeter in taste but still pretty good. Will def be back again!

I LOVE this place. You cannot get a bad breakfast sandwich here. They make the bagels fresh and it smells so good inside. Super fast and so reasonable.

So I try to go to different bagel Places. I think this was one of the best in NJ. I got the lox sandwich with scallion cream cheese on a toasted sesame. I usually don't toast my bagels, and I didn't ask for it toasted, but it was a pleasant accident. The toast makes the sesame seeds pop.

Now I hate cheating on The Bagel House in Kearny but we were in the area and my boyfriend drools every time he thinks about Midland Bagels. This is his favorite breakfast spot. We'll just have to learn to live with our differences! Lol. I'll admit, their bagels themselves are delicious. They're fluffy but dense and huge, all signs of great bagels. Where mine fell short was the veggie cream cheese. I love a tangy delicious cream cheese chock filled with tiny minced veggies. This one was just lacking, so skip it. A plain cream cheese will still be great on their delicious bagels. We also got a tuna wrap, it was fresh and tasty. My boyfriend got a Taylor ham egg and cheese bagel and it looked great too. He was in his glory. We also splurged and got some chili cheese fries. These were great, how can you go wrong with cheesy chili fries? Yum. Give them a chance if you're in the area. Best to call and pick up.

We were initially told the wait would be 25 minutes -- totally reasonable. But after receiving a text 15 minutes later saying we were next, we returned only to be told the kitchen was backed up and it would be another 15 minutes. Then came multiple conflicting texts, including one saying we were being removed from the waitlist for not responding... while we were literally standing there. We were finally seated about 20 minutes after that. It only got worse. It took 40 minutes for food to arrive, and even then, my daughter was served first while my husband and I waited another 15 minutes for ours. The food itself was incredibly disappointing: "poached" eggs that were basically hard-boiled, burnt toast, burnt sausage, and scrambled eggs that came out as a firm, molded mound instead of anything soft or freshly made. To top it off, the entire restaurant felt chaotic. We heard multiple crashes from the kitchen, servers openly complaining, and even staff encouraging the host not to walk out mid-shift. Meanwhile, takeout and delivery orders were flying out while dine-in customers sat waiting for long stretches. Overall, disorganized, poorly managed, and not worth the time or money. We won't be returning.

Seating is first-come, first-served, and guests are placed based on availability, which keeps things fair and efficient even during busy times. The tables for two are intimate and cozy, perfect for conversation, though they can become a bit tight when ordering several dishes at once. That said, the staff was attentive and checked in often enough to clear plates and make room, which made the experience much more comfortable. The dessert menu is separate, allowing guests to enjoy their meal at an unhurried pace before deciding on something sweet. Their beverage offerings are thoughtfully presented. Herbal tea options include green tea, chamomile, and English tea (Stash), and the tea is served in a container that provides two full servings. The cappuccino is well made and served with a sugar crystal stick, adding a distinct old-world charm that enhances the café's European feel. I regret not asking for an additional order of Turkish coffee so that's a regret . What we ordered: * Greek Salad - $18.50 * Cappuccino - $6.80 * Herbal Tea - $6.00 * Uštipci - $17.25 * Musaka - $22.95 * Šnicla (Cutlet Sandwich) - $20.75 * 2 Diet Cokes - $8.00 The musaka is a baked dish and does take about 25 minutes to prepare, as it's made fresh with baked eggs, seasoned beef, and sliced potatoes layered on top. The wait is well worth it, resulting in a hearty, comforting dish that tastes authentically homemade. The Šnicla (cutlet sandwich) arrived beautifully presented on a wooden board, adding a rustic, elevated touch that matched the restaurant's aesthetic. Mom felt it lacked in seasoning but she Didnt leave any crumbs . The Uštipci were a standout--served with feta and honey, generously portioned, and so plentiful that we happily took some home. We were too full for dessert this time, but it's absolutely on the list for a return visit. Due to winter weather, we couldn't explore the back of the restaurant, but even from the main dining area, the decor is undeniably charming and full of character. Overall, Cafe Bubamara offers authentic flavors, generous portions, attentive service, and a cozy, old-world atmosphere that makes it a place worth revisiting.

I was honestly surprised that at 2pm on a Sunday there was still a wait for just two people--but that usually says something about a place's popularity. Once seated, the restaurant was clean and well-kept, and our server was attentive throughout the meal. The only hiccup was the coffee--it took a bit longer than expected to arrive, which felt extra noticeable since we were craving a caffeine boost post-race. That said, the Marshmallow World cold brew was worth the wait and hit the spot perfectly. Food-wise, no complaints. I ordered The Goat omelet, which paired really nicely with the cold brew. I especially appreciated that they offer gluten-free bread--always a win when places make that effort, and it didn't feel like an afterthought. Parking is plentiful, which is a big plus for this area. Just a heads up: depending on traffic, getting on and off Route 4 can be a little tricky. The only downside? They close at 3pm, so our post-run brunch felt a little rushed--we definitely would've lingered longer if time allowed . A winning post-5k brunch that makes the early miles totally worth it.

With over 180 wing flavors to choose from, the only problem you will have is deciding because you will want to explore this seemingly never ending list. These are a couple of the wings I explored: Peanut Butter & Jelly Wings: These wings were smothered in creamy peanut butter with a heaping mound of jelly. At first I was reluctant to explore this unusual combination, but as soon as I gave it a try, it was love at first bite. Feel free to smear or dip; the choice is yours. S'mores Wings: This is another unique, but unbelievably savory combination. These dessert style wings were smothered in marshmallow cream, drizzled with chocolate syrup, and sprinkled with crushed pieces of graham crackers. It was a sight for sore eyes. If you need additional chocolate sauce don't be afraid to ask for "s'more." And make sure you request "s'more" napkins because you will certainly need them! In addition to the wings, I also explored one of the main courses. Blue 42 Burger: Named after the restaurant, this burger is topped with mozzarella sticks, blue cheese crumble and bacon. The Blue 42 char on top of the bun has a nice decorative touch. If you are a fan of the Green Bay Packers, you have come to the right spot. The interior is decorated with Packers memorabilia, which even includes wall art on the ceiling. All fans are still welcome even if you aren't an aficionado of the Packers.
